Eight is Enough - A July 2014 TR with cousins, club level and more Updated 3/29 DHS and Frozen Fun - Page 11 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

That's so fun that Jared got to see his friend playing Elsa, even though she did have to stay in character I can't wait to try 7DMT ride when we go in November! Looking forward to spending more time in the New Fantasyland as well. We didn't spend very much time there when we went back in March so I'd like to see more details the next time. I'm glad your niece got to feeling better quickly! I too laughed at your comment about the dolls in IASW and the Kingdom Keepers!
How cool to see your friend and I love that Jared made it on to Elsa's Facebook page - that is just so neat!
I know, we were so excited.

Can't wait to hear all about your trip. Will you do a TR?

My guess of your first FP+ was correct. Glad you enjoyed it!
And here on the boards we don't find you weird for taking pictures of bathrooms.
I knew you guessed my FP+. Those dolls really creep me out now.

We really enjoyed the Seven Dwarf Mine Train as well, so many cute details. We had a Fast Pass for Anna and Elsa as well, it was definitely worth it, the line was over 2 hours, not happening for us on standby....LOL
So cool that Jared got to see his friend as Elsa, loved the shout out on Facebook.
Isn't the ride adorable? I definitely would not stand in line for 2 hours, but glad we got to meet them.

Yes, I have a PTR started right now. It is linked in my sig right now, but doesn't look right, but it does work. I have messed with it and messed with it, but it won't put the actual name of the PTR. I got tired of messing with it and just left it.
How great that your son got to see his friend playing Elsa!!!
Your boys have been busy, and now I want to go look up their work . They are very handsome!

Liz, Your TR is awesome. Only cried 3 times as I lived each moment. From the running at full speed to try and get your phone, to seeing the welcome sign. I look forward to reading the rest of your adventure.
great update - how cool to meet your friend as Elsa
Thanks. It was such a cool experience. By the way, I drove passed Diggerland the other day and it looked pretty cool. I think I will check it out, but my boys want to do Sahara Sam's first. I didn't realize we lived so close to each other. Have you ever done a passporter meet? I haven't, but would love to.

It was a little strange not to be able to call her by her real name, but still really cool. I loved the New Fantasyland and think you will love 7DMT. Let me know what you think. Those dolls are so creepy. -

Ok. I'm going to check it out this weekend. I have no idea how to link my TR to my signature anymore. Maybe someone can help us out. Anyone?

Thank you so much. They have gotten so busy in the past few weeks. It's exciting and scary at the same time.

It was a great time. Thanks.
I will be posting another update this weekend. Between working full time, emergency dental work, and the boys auditions/shoots, I've been having a really hard time keeping up. No worries, though, I will definitely be posting soon. Thanks for hanging in there.
Glad the boys are auditioning and getting work! That is so cool!
I finally got my TR linked correctly. I finally had to ask LizardCop to take a look at it and he fixed me right up!
Can't wait for more!

I'm just about ready to post my next update. I hope it goes through since my internet is acting up. I've also finally downloaded my memory maker photos. Here are a few that we took up to this point during the trip.
After our visit with Anna and Elsa, we still had some time before our next FP+. We headed over to Buzz Lightyear which only had a short wait. DH and DBil are really good at this. I usually start off trying hard, but then give up and just enjoy the ride. In other words, I stink at it.
DH's score. I'm pretty sure my brother in law did even better than this.
My pathetic score.
After the ride, we went to see our ride pictures and have them scanned onto our magic bands. I think that was the first of many times I was told that there was no need to scan the photos onto our bands if we had purchased the memory maker. Somehow the ride detected you were on it and they were scanned automatically. I didn’t trust this at first, but eventually just gave in and stopped scanning our ride photos. I can now say that most of our ride photos made it onto our magic bands minus one of my brother in law.
You can never see Aidan in this picture. Last time they even let him get right back on the ride with DH so he could retake the picture.
