My Birthday Dream Come True!!! **Updated 10/9** COMPLETE - Page 11 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Well here we go with an update for day 3. Hopefully I can remember it all.
Well I do remember that we got a late start. MY DS didn't want to get out of bed. We did go to Epcot in the morning. We arrived and immediately DS, DD, & DH wanted to ride Test Track. So I went to Universe of Energy. I guess I needed a nap lmao... Well we finally met up at Mission Space where we braved the lines and went on the Green Side. I can't do the Orange cuz if I did I would surely be Green!!! Then we decided to do Nemo. Which we did and was great about it. Then we decided to do lunch.
Well we are in Epcot and with so many places to choose from, we decided to go to China and have Lotus Blossom Cafe for lunch. We had something to eat I don't remember what though so I would have to find the receipt. I do remember that we had the Caramel Ginger Ice Cream and we wouldn't do it again.
Then we decided to go on Maelstrom. We were all in line and I started to feel ill. So I decided to skip it. DD went with me to check on me during this time. She looked through the gift shop while we waited for DH & DS.
Once they came out, I still wasn't feeling well so we decided that I would take DD and head back to the hotel to rest.
We decided that we would meet up for dinner at O'Hana. I told the guys that we would meet by the Surfboard in the lobby at the Poly. While the girls went to the hotel the guys did the innoventions areas. They had a blast.
Then the guys hit the character spot. But because of this they were late for our ADR's. Not to mention they went to the WRONG RESORT!!! They actually went to the Contemporary first. Mind you they were wearing their O'Hana shirts today. They should have had a clue but you know men. lmao...
We were on time and waited for them. Eventually they made it and we enjoyed our dinner so much. I just loved Julie our waitress. She was great.
We sat on the side of the restaurant near the wood pile and were right near the grilling and cooking area of the restaurant. It was amazing being able to watch the chefs cook the skewers of food.
After dinner we went to DTD and tried to take the boat back to our resort but because of lightning we had to stand in line for the bus. It was ok but we turned it into an early night. This way we can get an early start on our DHS day. Stay tuned.....
Do we make it or don't we??? Stay tuned!!!!!!

Great update! Sounds like you had a fun time in Future World. I know what you mean about the Orange version of M:S. I did it once, when they didn't offer Green; I would never do that again! Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well, but were feeling well enough to go to 'Ohana for dinner later on! I'm a little nervous about the next installment!
I have to re-size some of them down to make sure they are the right size for the boards but I will post some soon. I might do that now while I wait for more word on Kristen's flight.
Wow great day! I just catch up with your tr... Well well well... I didn't know you did Mission space!!! are you hidding other stuff like that from me? I can't wait to hear some more...
While I may forget to mention this during my trip report. Let me add that I while on vacation my cell phone was glued to my side for the duration of the trip. Mostly for the purpose that we have the Shanrene bracelets if the kids get lost. But I did talk to Kristen C. everyday, CherylF on occassion and of course our wonderful TA Judi since my DH started to talk about planning another trip for next christmas. I wanted to strike while the iron was hot.

***u are too funny!!! but that is how I will be too, I am gonna try that ride for the 1st time in September IF I GET BRAVE ENOUGH!!!! how was it for u, did u do ok on it and then afterwords? I don't want to be feeling "yucky" for the rest of the day if u know what I mean .
great job on the trip report so far by the way!! u r giving lots of details and that is GREAT .
The green is fine. I was totally ok with everything afterwards. I think it was just nerves that made me sick later in the day. But I did the Green last year too so it was fine. There is a little moving forward and backwards but no roly-poly action going on.
Mary - Finally got a chance to catch up....you have some great updates.
Glad the flight down was fine...I also applaud you for keeping your wits with the child behind you kicking and saying the plane was going down....the kicking alone would have drvien me nuts but the we are going down (masking tape definitely comes to mind). What I never understand is what are the parents doing while the child is kicking the seat and saying we are going down.
We had a boy on one flight who would not stay seated, kept kickign the seat...his mom had her earphones on and was alseep....ok well I am going to wake you up so you can control your son before I do...
Glad you room was ready and you got such a nice room and proximiety to the main building. Glad you enjoyed some park time and the Ft. Wilderness on your arrival day...
Time alone at MK....how more perfect can you get. Glad you were able to have some time to yourself to just take in the magic.
Sorry you were not feeling well at Epcot - hoping whatever is bothering you passes. Looking forward to more...
