Bonne anniversaire a Disneyland Paris COMPLETE - Page 11 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Wow, Cheryl, you managed to take a lot of awesome photos of that show! When we went to see it, we sat way in the back so I only have a few nice pics. I thought the same about Mickey and Minnie's outfits and was glad that they changed into their beautiful holiday wear midway through the show!
I just caught up on your whole TR. I was so excited to read about Disney in Paris. My dream would be to be able to go to all of the Disneys all over the world. (We'll see if that can ever happen )
First of all...those trains are too cool!! It's like a subway for cars. Neat!
The Disney hotel is gorgeous. And it is right attached to the park??? But, WOW the cost is ridiculous!
I loved that Main Street looked a lot like WDW, but the theming of the other rides was so cool and different. I love the theming for POC.
The Crush Coaster looks like fun, sorry you didn't enjoy it as much. I agree about the teacups though...that is one I can't ride with my DH b/c he likes to spin and spin.
Great pictures of the show too. Cool to see the Country Bears not stuck to a stage!
Sorry the crowds were so high and that you were not able to get on any rides but the show looked wonderful. The pictures were fantastic...glad that Mickey and Minnie changed into their holiday gear. It looked like a very fun and entertaining show.

That's the dream we're living right now. We've done them all apart from Tokyo and we'll be heading there in April. It's a great dream to have and the ones we've been to so far are all worth seeing.
Saturday 20 December – part six: I become Stitch’s girlfriend!
When we came out of there, there were more holiday celebrations with a whole Christmas village set up. Really it was just a whole long line for Santa Claus, although there were some Christmas stalls with things like hot win, a very European thing. They also had a Santa’s workshop set up, which they would let you take of photos of, without you having to wait for Santa.
We headed back to the Central Plaza in front of the castle and were just in time to catch Minnie’s Jolly Holidays, a cute and short Christmas show, featuring Minnie and Pinocchio, who is amazingly popular over here. We managed to get a front row spot, although yet again, we experienced kids pushing their way in front of us, with their parents nowhere in sight. That was bad enough, but they were bored after a couple of minutes and then left again. For goodness sake.
After that, we headed out of the park and took the train back to the hotel. We discussed whether we would be going to our reservation at the California Grill tonight and decided that we wouldn’t. I just felt that a) we were still quite full from lunch and b) I wasn’t sure that it could better lunch as a magical experience. Then there was some discussion about whether we would go back to the parks at all, but we decided to and it was the best decision we could’ve taken.
We walked back to the station again, lucked out and only waited a couple of minutes for the train and then we were off. When we got there, it was about 7.20 and we headed first for the Walt Disney Studios, as they were open until 9.00, whereas the Disneyland Park would be open until 10.00.
When we arrived, it was clear that the park was pretty quiet. There were very few people around. The Christmas decorations here looked much better after dark then they had earlier in the day.
We walked around taking lots of photos.
A silly photo op presents itself!
The dance party they had, featuring the characters
Another silly photo op
You can always rely on him to do something different!
We soon realised that we had a decision to make, as the last Cinemagique that we wanted to see was at 8.00 and the next English version of Stitch Live was at 7.45. We decided to go for the latter, as it was new and the version in Hong Kong had been a lot of fun. Here, it shows you how many seats are left for the next show and there are 200 seats in total. Well, let’s just say that when we went in, there were 193 seats still left and only a few more people came in after is. It was therefore pretty inevitable that we would be picked on, especially as a Cast Member had come out earlier and we had been talking to her in the pre-show area.
Sure enough, Stitch asked me if I had a boyfriend and when I said yes, he asked Mark if he could jump up and down and, of course, he did. Then he asked if he could suddenly grow two extra arms. Well, there Mark had to concede. With Mark defeated, I became Stitch’s girlfriend (sorry Melissa! ) – how cool is that! It was a lot of fun and I came out of there, laughing away at the great time we had just had.
We watched the DJ party that was in full swing outside with Chip and Dale. They also had Stitch out, dancing with people and, boy he was getting down, just like the characters had the night before.
Great update! The dance party looks like a lot of fun. We missed that. We also didn't get a chance to see Minnie's Jolly Holiday show so I'm glad you took pictures
