Most Everyone's Mad Here TR COMPLETED - Page 10 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I'm afraid that the photos are big! Photobucket is just not so user-friendly anymore. My notes for our recent trip are very fuzzy most days as I just didn't get time to journal like I usually do. But I do know we had lots of fun and it sounds like you all did, too.

It's so odd because when I first post them they are big and then it's like Photobucket updates itself and resizes them appropriately.
My journaling started off so good and then each night dwindled little by little!

It's just crazy that they've made it so clunky!! It's taking me so much time to re-size

After a morning at DHS, we headed back to the resort for some food and a rest. We hadn't seen the IL's that morning but planned on meeting up with them at the party.
Before we knew it, it was time to get our costumes on.
Stella was Cinderella. Tyler and Allen were both Prince Charming thanks to the handy work of MIL. I had hoped to find a t-shirt in our first few days to wear but hadn't found anything so I just planned on wearing my Mickey Mouse Club shirt.
Allen's belt needed to be fitted since we weren't there when MIL finished the costume so he called down to the concierge to see if they had a pair of scissors we could borrow. Thankfully then did so he ran down to grab them and came back for me to fit and cut.
Once we were ready, we headed to the bus stop. When we arrived to the bus stop, we were the 2nd family in line, right behind a family of 4 (mother, father and 2 daughters) and they were dressed as Alice in Wonderland characters....what are the odds!! I told Allen that we really needed to see those costumes through the following year!
A few more families showed up to the bus stop before a Magic Kingdom bus came into view. We were definitely excited as we loaded up to head over.
Before we knew it, we were arriving for our evening of spooky Disney fun!
We stopped for some PhotoPass shots:
A princess and her prince:
The wait time for the Princesses was very short at this time so we decided to take the opportunity to do that. Allen spoke with the ILs and they were on their way over to MK.
First we got to greet Rapunzel, who was as charming as ever. I just love that she got down to Stella's level to interact:
Next up was Belle. Stella was totally mesmerized by her dress and hair piece (which she also was in January when she was only 11 months old! Must be the yellow/gold color!)

I'm just finding this report and all caught up with it. I hear you on the toddler melt downs. BTDT! You have a lovely family and glad you are taking a long time to update as it gave me time to catch up.
More please
I love the costumes and great photos with the characters.
Thank you!! The costumes thankfully came together right in the knick of time!

Welcome and thanks for joining in! We really should get badges of honor for surviving toddler meltdowns
Before we left the Princess meet & greet, a CM advised us that if we can back once the party started, the Princes would also be there Given our costumes, I knew I really really wanted to get pictures with them as well so we decided we would head back at the start of the party.
As we were exiting Town Hall, Allen called the ILs to see if they had made it into the park yet. They had and were at Casey's Corner have a hot dog. Our crew was getting pretty hungry and we had some time before the party started so we decided to head to Cosmic Rays for some dinner.
I was getting so excited thinking about the pictures with the Princes but was feeling a little left out since I wasn't dressed as royalty like Allen and the kids. As we were walking down Main Street, I decided to stop into the Emporium and grab the princess shirt we saw earlier in the week. I was hoping for Cinderella but knew that it wasn't an option so instead I decided to go with Snow White. And I got the matching headband
I made a quick change and we were able to stop and get more pictures on Main Street- all of us dressed like Disney royalty now!
Cosmic Ray's was hopping and it was a bit challenging weaving our way from the hub over to Cosmic Rays because they had roped off areas to escort non-party guests to the front of the park. We had to show our wristbands a couple of times before we were cleared to continue on the bridge over to Cosmic Rays.
I can't remember exactly what we all ate, but I think Allen went with a burger, Tyler went with chicken fingers (which he shared with Stella) and I went with a chili dog. Either way, we ate our food happily.
My memory gets a little fuzzy here but I believe Tyler wanted to do the trick or treating path from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland and we wanted to make sure and get good seats for the first parade so we decided to part ways and meet back at the front of the park. We decided to wait for the Princes until after the first parade.
Stella and I leisurely made our way to the front of the park and decided to do the Phineas and Ferb M&G. I sent Allen a text letting him know we were getting in line for that and to hurry up if Tyler wanted to do the same.
As we got closer to the front of the line, I realized Stella wasn't going to go up to them herself and Allen wasn't back yet so I put my camera away and got ready to meet P+F with her.
Then it was our turn:
Just as we were saying goodbye to P+F, Tyler showed up and was able to get his picture with them as well:
After Tyler said goodbye to P+F, we staked our spot for the parade. At this point, the ILs met up with us to wait it out. We had a good 40 minutes or so if I recall correctly.
Stella was pretty happy to sit and people watch:
Finally, it was time for the parade! Suffice it to say that the Headless Horseman eluded me once again and none of my shots came out
