What was your very first job?
How old were you when you had this job?

I was a cashier/bagger at my dad's small town grocery store. I started working at 14.

It's getting to be so long ago that I don't exactly remember what order my first jobs were in.

Babysitter extraordinaire.... I think most girls and many boys have that as their first job.

I think I was a substitute lifeguard first. I was trained over the summer and had a few shifts before the pool closed for the fall. I would have been about 14.

Other early jobs were:
waitress (had to get a work permit, and I was too young to serve alchohol),
asst. camp counselor at a camp for the handicapped in Maine (16),
counter clerk at a place like Orange Julius except we served more food,

I got my first job when I was 19 and in college. It was a work study job at the New England Aquarium. I did whatever was needed; wiping sweat off the tanks, making announcement over the PA, watching the gift shop, etc. Very glamorous.

I worked in a small local Pharmacy. I started when I was 15. I made $2.85 an hr.

My very first job was babysitting at around age 12. I would babysit around my neighborhood for different families. My first "offical" job was at a Hy-Vee grocery store. I started out working at the salad bar area then I moved to another grocery store where I was a cashier. I was 17.

I started babysitting at 11, but my first real job was at McDonald's when I was 16.

Other than babysitting, my first job was a couselor at a summer camp for mentally & physically disabled participants. It was a 10 week camp (4 week & a 6 week session). Each day had its own challenges but nothing was more rewarding or uplifting than working with these campers.

My first job was babysitting for our neighbor when I was probably 11 or 12. After that, I worked in a small video rental place that my friend's family owned when I was 14. That was the first job with an actual paycheck!

I was 17 and a senior in high school. I was in a cooperative office education program where local businesses would employ us. I was employed as an office clerk for an insurance company.

My first job was working at Brighams' Ice Cream shop in the Natick Mall. I was 16. I lasted a whole 6 months until Service Merchandise was going to open, so I applied there and worked there for 26 years!

My first job was when I was 11 years old. I dressed as an Easter Bunny and waved at cars in front of Ziggareli's Chocolate Factory.

I worked in a pharmacy when I was about 16 years old. It was a lot of fun with a great team and I really enjoyed it.
