As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!

She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

I've been trying to this summer. I usually go for a run (2 miles) between 7 and 8 at night, depending how hot it is. Sometimes I'll also take the kids for a hike during the day.
I excersize 6 days a week (gotta have one rest day at least! ). It's been near 100 and humid every day here for the last several weeks, so running is out. I tried to go at 8 pm one night last week and still about died. (It was still 92 out ) Mostly I do aerobics DVDs at home. I do them usually between 10-11 am. Speaking of which, I gotta get to it!

This is my summer schedule:
- bike in the mornings on Mon, Wed, and Fri for 30-40 miles.
- swim in the evenings on Mon and Wed and Sun afternoon for 90 minutes, which is usually 4,000 meters.
-Tues and Thurs we run (I wog cause running still doesn't work for me)
- Sat I bike for 30 minutes then wog for 45.
Not me. In good weather, I tend to do a two mile walk in the afternoon/evening. Lately it's been too hot. DH gets up around 6:15 and gets on the stationary bike for 1/2 hour each morning (weekends...he actually goes bike riding). Obviously, I need to find it in me to start being more like him.
It depends on the weather. Summer is finally here in So Cal, so I'm now walking my dogs around 6:00 a.m. (I get up at 5:30 to fix my husband breakfast before he drives to his office and I can't go back to bed once I'm up.)
We walk/jog a minimum of 5 miles each day including weekends. In cooler weather I do all my housework first (lots of swiffering and vacuuming with two big dogs) before we go out, usually by noon.
We live near the top of a hill so the second half of our daily excursion is all uphill. My dogs are great - they have memorized the exact points where we start running and where we start to walk. I'm not sure I could run the whole way back to the house.
About 3 times a week in the evening my husband and I take the dogs on a 'smell' walk. We leisurely walk down to my husband's gym (3.5 miles) and the dogs and I hang out at Starbucks while he works out. Then we slowly walk back up the hill, letting them sniff (and mark) as we go along.
Not always by choice but my younger dog has to be walked or else. He is walked a mile or more each morning and afternoon and now we only do a short last walk of about a half mile in the evening. DD usually does the last walk if she is home -about half the time. My older dog is also walked 3 times a day, but for only a half mile. I walk them sun, rain, snow and sleet. One of my neighbors told me she didn't get another dog after hers passed because of how much she sees me walking. I figure I do at least three and a half to 4 miles a day.
I also walk a lot of stairs. My spring semester class required me to go up 120 stairs in a lovely brownstone. I actually did better than about half of my students. I also work on the second floor and seem to go up and down the stairs dozens of times each day.
Depending on the weather here. Usually I like to take my walks in the evening when it's much cooler outside than during the day, 3 - 5 days a week, 1 - 4 miles.

I don't exercise but my husband works out in his home gym almost every day when he is in town from work and he works out every day when he is out of town working. I wish I could be less lazy and work out like he does. I am not in bad shape but we could always use more exercise just for general health purposes. I live a pretty sedentary life. I hate exercising.

I exercise six days a week. I go for a swim (45 min) everyday and every other day I do an exercise class/biking - spinning if it's bad weather - for about 45 minutes to an hour.
I go to the gym Mon,Tues,Thurs,and Fri. I also walk between 4 to 6 miles about 4 days per week. I also do some exercise at home. I have a lower back injury and I am getting in better shape before I have surgery in September.
