As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!
Best wishes for a wonderful and magical new year!

4 Parks 1 World 2 Women Day 2...
Mickey called at 7:45am.We were out of bed at 8am.Got dressed and headed to geust relations.I had to get my key fixed it wouldn't open the room door.Problem 1with it but more later on that.A very nice and peppy CM name Richard took care of it for me and gave me a new card.So out the door and off to MK.We had PS at Chef Mickey's for 10:15am.so when we got to MK itwas right up the ramp to the Monorail. At Chef Mickey we got in line to put in our name and a guy in front of us had 10:45 ps was demanding to be seated earlyer.Only the 1st of rude pepole.I thought The picture they take in front of the Big Plate was a cool.(of course we bought ours).Goofy was greeting.I got his autograph and a pictuer with him.We waited about an extera 15mins.before being seated not too bad.Could figure out if the rude guy got seated before hand or not.It would of bothered me but it was a busy day there and a lot of kids waiting to be seated.Chip was the 1st one to stop by.then I got my food. Then my sister went. While she was gone Pluto and Mickey came by.No pictre with them.I had even taken a family photo for the pepole next to us.They didn't return the favor. So it would be NO picture with my main mouse this trip .I did get autographs from them and photo's with Dale and Minnie. Then after doing the celabration thing we Left.( this was our flex).I finaly found the 5 legged goat on the mural. We pessed some coins and got on the monorail. The front was full so no ride there either. I want a pressed penny of Scar so my sister was kind enough to put up witha stop at the Polnesian. While there I want to stop in the Walyn Gallarie.Don't tell my mom but I know what Sue got me for my birthday.A silver necklas that is 2 dolpins making a heart and earrings to macth. We're pretending I don't know.buy this time it was around noon so As my saying went "Let's make like nails and press on."Off to MK.It had started to could up.We wanted to do the Jungle Cruise so we went to find out how long a wait.Only 25 mins.We decided to do stand by instaed of fastpass. While in line it started raining.By time we got on it was pourring. We had a good Captian. He told us if any kids were lkeft on board we would find them strapped to the floor in IASW.It was still poring when we got off.Sue didn't bring her poncho,I did we stood a little bit I put mine on took both camra bags and on our way.The Tiki Room didn't have a line so in we went.Sue taped it.And it stopped raining by time it was over.(I still like the old version better).Headed to FrontierLand.Got a drink in the Dimond Horseshoe.Look in some shops Fond a spot to tape the parade.I love this Perade. My favorite partis the Guy with the red vest and the guy That looks like an animator. When you see it you will understand They are in the very begining. They have a broom and pail.I don't want to spoil anything so I'm not going into much detail. If you want more you can E-mail me w/ questions. The floats are buitiful you will love them. After We had time before dinner. We had 4pm PS at Liberty Tree Tavern so we went on the Steam boat.I liked it.It was our 1st time. Will do agian. Then to dinner didn't take long to get seated. We saw MInnie,Goofy,CHIP and Dale.Pluto snubbed us.I love the food her.I tryed a drink call the Star Spangled,if you like orange creamsicles you'll like this.I bought a souvenir glass too.Did some shop looking be fore our Passporter meet.I was the 1st one at HoP.Iwas very nervouse. Not knowing how to fine anyone. We were sitting on the side of HoP,Sue told me to mve in front.I keep look back and forth.Asking her "How long sould i wait?" Then for MainStreet way comes 2 pepole one holdnig a Passporter pack.It could see the gentleman saying she has a passporter pin.It was Sara and Shawn AKA Belle and Mushu1.I was so glad someone came.Wesat talking and waiting, about a half hour latter Theresa aka Mammapooh came along.Snapple I hope everything is ok sorry we missed you. They are wonderful people and I'm glad to Konw all of you.Shawn the pictuer is GREAT! I was like should I put on my brace and get on the bus right away?Regardless the were Laughing knowing they should not have done this.My sister had infromed my the father in front of us had a broken ankel, but didn't ask for special traetment he even stood so women could sit. Sorry I went off it just got me.I'll get off my soap box now.

Apart from the rude folks you encountered, it sounds like you and your sister are having a fun time so far. Can't wait to read more!

Marcie -- It does sound like you ran into some rude people. It's too bad the folks next to you at Chef Mickey's didn't think to ask if you wanted your picture with Mickey. Just another reason to go again!!

Re: 4 Parks 1 World 2 Women Day 2...
Marcie I'm sorry about your bad experience with the bus. We had one of those last year where one person "held" a place in line for 16 others!! Thankfully there wasn't room for all of them so the bus driver made them wait for the next one and counted off the number he did have the room for.
