As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

Moving on with the current of the years.

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

I just went and watched a bunch. Loved the Polamalu Coke Zero one!! And the Zulu one with Alec Baldwin. I found the Career Builder one annoying!!
I also like the Doritos Lucky Day one (where he got hit by the bus at the end) and not the one where the guy throws the magic ball at his boss!
I feel the same way as you about mostly all of them Don't remember the Zulu one I did find the Career building one annoying also, as did my mother. I also liked the Dorito lucky day commercial, but not the magic ball at the boss one, I thought that one was dumb
I loved, loved, loved the one with Palomalu though But I am a bit biased, Steelers are my fave team and Palomalu is my fave player
I loved the crystal-ball-free-Doritos-at-work-today one.
I also liked Mr. & Mrs. Potato head one for Bridgestone tires. The previews for the new Disney movie UP looked funny also!
Yeah, the career builders first two times it repeated itself was OK but after the fourth and fifth I was ready for a new one commercial or back to the game.
I at the MacGruber commerical it was funny!

The only one that got a real laugh out of me was the Bud Light one when he was tossed out the window for suggesting to remove beer from their meetings to cut costs.
I loved that one!!! Also the Crystal Ball-free doritos was halarious!
The best ad was the Doritos snowglobe free Doritos at work one. Just totally unexpected and too stinkin' hilarious!!!!
The Doritos lucky day one was dumb and predictable.
I hated the Budweiser Clydesdale family history one. The dating one was okay. I only saw the very end of the fetch one, so can't really comment on it.
The repetitive CareerBuilders one was the very worst. I wanted it to just shut up and stop!!
The Potatoe Head one was funny when she put her angry eyes in, plus the look on the guy's face, hehe.
The MacGruber one I'd seen the night before during SNL, so it wasn't a new ad. I don't know if the Super Bowl showed the whole series of MacGruber ads like SNL did or not (sorry, I'm more interested in the game than the ads so didn't see all the ads!), but the one I saw during the Bowl wasn't the best one from the night before. They had some funnier ones the night before - plus having the whole series made the one I saw during the game make a lot more sense.
I missed the one-second Miller High Life commercial, but my brother told me about it when I was talking to him today. Pretty funny! Especially if you heard the pre-game show where the Miller guy gave the reason for the ad only being one second long.
Oh, and I hated those GoDaddy ads. Both too sexual and too stupid (especially the shower one).

I loved the Budwiser one with the dog and horse playing fetch. That was hilarious the dog's facial expression when the Horse came back with the tree was priceless!

Nope, those ads are annoying and WAY too repetitive! There was one, maybe two, that were okay. But they are completely predictable and stupid. And boy does MacGuyver look old these days!

I've only seen one that aired during the Super Bowl and it was more that enough....I could live my life happy and NEVER see another of these commercials!!!! I used to love the show MacGuyver when it was on and really don't find these McGruber commercials amusing....just stupid.

I did see the commercial for Mcgruber. My complaint is on SNL. They show the same basic thing over and over. And its not funny. The three people are trapped in a building. The bomb is gonna go off in 20 seconds. The woman asked McGruber to save them. He always get distracted by something unimportant. They blow up. Enough allready.
