As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

I have a couple of questions about the shows at Sea World
1) Is there seating for those using scooters FAR away from where you get soaked? I know Lenny probably won't care but we'll be using a rental scooter and I don't think it would be good if we let it get that wet and neither I nor Abby will want to get soaked either
2) If for some reason, Abby decides she really doesn't like the show (it bores her, just doesn't like it, etc) is it possible to leave the shows in the middle? We've tried to watch a couple on Youtube and they aren't very interesting that way. It might be different in person but not so sure if it makes any differenence to Abby.
Any other advice you can give on the shows would be great. It's been a really, really long time since I've been at Sea World and there doesn't seem to be very much/very good info out there. TIA

i believe the scooter parking is also in the way back so you wouldnt be in the splash are i was last there in 2009 but i also wasnt paying attention so i could be wrong
yes you can leave the show early or in the middle my husband was off doing one of the rides and i was with the kiddos and he was able to join me so i assume if you can go in that you can go out..
i love sea world though and i hope to be going in october =)
You can definitely leave the shows early. We were there yesterday and saw people doing just that
You were there yesterday? Cool. Will you be doing a TR with details of your day (and the rest of your vacation of course)? If you do, it gives me even more reason to tune in (not that I need one anyway, I love your TR's and all the photos you include).
At Shamu Stadium, scooter parking is at the top of the first (street) level, well away from the Splash Zone. Is Whale and Dolphin Stadium, it's in the back (just like Fantasmic). In the walrus and Otter stadium (whose name presently escapes me), it's on the sides. You won't get wet at any of these areas, and you can easily leave at any time from any of these venues
Here is Sea World's Accesibility Guide, Darlene. It goes show venue to show venue and attraction to attraction with info on where the accesible seating/entrances/etc are for each.
The guide says that (as of publication) most Shamu accesible seats are in the Soak Zone but if you'd rather not get wet, just ask a Sea World Team Member and they will help you! However, I remember seeing scooters and chairs parked up higher, away from the danger zone a couple of years ago.
If you think your DD might find the Shamu Show boring maybe consider the at the Whale & Dolphin theater by the dolphin cove called Blue Horizons. It has several different marine animals, birds and cast members in the show which might make it more entertaining. That theater is smaller than Shamu's though. but I would assume the same seating applies for scooters. There's no splashing of the audience either. There's also the sea lion show which is very fun too. Enjoy Sea World!
The last time we were there, we had to leave the Shamu show early as our DD was only 2 and was overheated and overtired. We had no problem leaving early.
One thing I didn't expect, though, was how early we should have gotten to the Shamu theater. I had heard how huge it was, so we didn't feel the need to get to the theater early. We were shocked when we arrived that it was very hard to find a space for our small group of 3. On our trip in July, I plan for us to get there early and eat some snacks while we wait...
Oh, and I agree that solid info on SeaWorld is kinda hard to come by...
