As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.

Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

Still looking ahead on my No kids allowed trip. I have to looked into going to DTD to Circ de sole. Is it worth it? Would you pay the extra $$$ for front and center? Or be happy with cat 2? Or whatever seat we can get? Thanks in advance
My friend went in May during our trip to the world and she was in the 2nd tier of seating. She said they were good seats, and really enjoyed it, but I wouldn't pay $$ for it.
I have been to the DTD Cirque du Soleil twice and loved it both times. If you live in an area where Cirque du Soleil doesn't tour, definitely see it at DTD! It's an amazing show!

Still thinking of going to the F&W Festival again....
Go see it and get the cheap seats first. I never go to anything with the expensive seats the first time (I'm cheap so I hate having regrets after spending money). Anywho there really isn't a bad seat in the house there. I like to have a "big screen" view than sitting really close anyways think of it like a movie theater where would you sit?
Definitely worth the money!! It's an amazing experience!

We went on our anniversary trip before our daughter was born and I think we actually had category 3 seating (not sure) but you can look at where you will be located usually. We were very happy with our seats and don't think we missed a thing. I'm glad we went but also glad we didn't pay for the closer seats. Our seats were first or second row after the aisle but on the far left and we didn't miss anything.
Way way way back in 2001, when DGF and I were at Disney, she initiall balked at the prices (at the time, $80 for the good seats). I convinced her, though, that - gigantic Cirque du Soleil fan as she was - she'd've kicked herself for YEARS about not seeing the show when she had the chance.
So she caved, especially when I brought up that she could go alone (I'm not as huge a fan as she is) and we'd only have the price of one ticket to bear. She ended up getting "Row 1, section A, seat 5" - her right arm-rest was directly in line with Center Stage.
And she absolutely LOVED it ... especially sitting so close, that she almost felt she was PART of the performance itself. It's a much more personal experience to be in the first row than seeing the show from even the fifth row, let alone the fifteenth.
We have not seen it at Disney, but we did see a show when they came to our city. We were not close to the stage, but in the risers (however, even where we were sititng, we paid a good amount of money to see it) and were able to see every single bit--even when they were in the air. The show was awesome! Worth every bit of the money we paid to see it. I think you will have a great time regardless of where you are sitting. Great show!

We've been twice and LOVED it, in fact we're going again in October to celebrate our Anniversary....my personal opinion is that LaNouba is worth every dime!
I have been to several Cirque shows in Las Vegas. out there the theaters are small and there really isn't a bad seat. I love them and have a running list of the next show I want to see. (My husband and I were certain that we would not like them, DH referring to them as Chinese acrobatics, we went to one and became belivers). As far as going to the one at DTD, it depends on you. If you feel like you've been to the parks alot and you want to do something different. I would totally spend the money on the cheap seats and go. If you don't go to disney often, there's plenty of things included in your tickets to occupy your time.
GO, GO, GO, GO!!!!! It is an awesome show!!!! Highly recommend the show! We have seen it twice now and both times did cat 2 seating and were perfectly happy.
