As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.

Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!

She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). I started to spring clean this week. It is not easy thing either. But I am happy to say that I have tossed out alot of junk. Cleaned out 12 totes that have been stacked in my room for 4 years now. all the old mail, that i have to keep, is now down to two files. And out of all the totes I went through I only keep stuff that would fit into 4 totes. I still have about 8 totes to get through in my room. I also have an attic and a sheid to get through in two weeks. It dont seem like alot of stuff to toss out but to tell ya the truth with tossing so much stuff I feel like I am 50 pounds lighter. Collecting junk runs in the family, so I am happy with the amount that I have trashed so far.
Is anyone else spring cleaning??? If so what are you doing with the stuff?? Ebay, craigs list, yard sale or just putting it in the trash??? In two weeks we are going to do a yard sale with everything that has not been trashed or what I am keeping. And yes you guessed it the money is being put into the pot to pay for Disney this year. With all my junk we may just make enough to move up from value to moderit for the trip!!!!

I may do the windows today since it's supposed to warm up. I want to work in the yard over the weekend-highs in the 60s!!! Yeah!!! I've been staring longingly at the short sleeves in my closet, but it's been too darn cold here to switch seasons yet.
I did clean out a dresser drawer the other day and pitched a bunch of junk.
I am always cleaning (just ask RobDVC), so I don't have to face a huge spring or fall cleaning. However, I have a few "projects" in mind for this spring that I would like to accomplish. One of them is cleaning out the garage.
We're all done! We used our Spring Break week at work, took vacation days and got it all done! The house got cleaned top to bottom and we donated a ton of stuff to the Salvation Army.
We've gotten through the kitchen and the linen closet. Today we are tackling the deep, dark cave (aka the garage). If we get that done this weekend I will be so stoked. The rest of the house will be a snap. I actually love spring cleaning, just not in the garage.
Pack rats should not be allowed to have children. We have so much stuff that can't be parted with . However, we have run out of space and shelves. Several boxes of books when to the Friends of the Library and good clothing went to the "Wardrobe." Now to attack the craft room.

Since we just moved, we did a lot of cleaning and decluttering before we moved. However, I think we will probably be doing more as we go along and get more unpacked. So far everything is still in boxes as we are trying to finish the kitchen (was totally gutted! ), as well as paint and recarpet. It didn't pay to unpack too much when we would just have to move it again to finish those projects. Eventually we will have a very clean, fresh, uncluttered house! Maybe we will be done in time for fall cleaning!

I did a lot of cleaning about 3 weeks ago, I was sore for 3 days afterwards lol
but I got rid of alot of junk, and papers!! i had files and files of airline itinerarys, hotel info far back as 2004 so i have a box full of stuff waiting to be shredded now.
I still have a tad bit more to do, I also need to put away my winter sweaters taking up too much room in my closet.
Nopers, there's still too much snow on the ground. Then we'll be into mud season (it's just starting now). Then finally it will be time to Spring Clean, but I think we're probably at least 2-3 weeks away from that still. I can't wait to get all the winter dirt off the windows!!
