As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Shadowryter,
Just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to you for all of your hard work and creativity! Our shirts turned out fantastic and I am sure that my fellow cruisers will love them! We are sailing in two days and I can't wait! I am sure this will not be the experience it will be without all of you here on this board! So, thank you to you for your free designs and a big thank you to everyone else who gives advice, suggestions, feedback and makes all of our Disney vacations extra Magical! Jennifer
Hello Jennifer, Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm so happy that I could spread a little pixie dust on your vacation.
Hi! I just found this thread and was checking out your 4shared website. You do amazing work So much better than I have found to purchase from other sites in iron on transfers! I love the pirates in the caribbean black mickey ears with the red skull pirate hat and red circle around it. Our cruise is Dec 14, 2013 on Disney fantasy. Are you able to alter this to say 2013? I also like the yo ho disney cruise one but it too says 2011. Can this say 2013 The Hopkins Family?
Also I am not sure what you mean by printing it? Do I purchase this design from you printed or is there special ink that would allow me to print it as an iron tee shirt transfer?
Thanks for your time!
Alisha
Hi Alisha, thanks so much for the compliments. I can alter any design to fit your needs. The Yo Ho Pirate Year has not been created yet but it looks like I have to get on the ball with that one. I try to make something unique for the year as well as my traditional gray back ground. I'll be back with your request when the 2013 Logo is complete.
Linda
I read in a previous post about making some of your Wonderful designs into Magnets, and wondered if it was okay to make them into little Shrinky Dinks, for a Braclet, as well? If so, could I make some request for templates with names? Thank You so much for your creativtiy, patience and Energy

Do you have different template of the letters with characters in them? My Girls have so many favorites I thought it would be fun to mix and match them it C (done in an Cheshire Cat), A (Phineas and Ferb), I (Invisable Girl), T (Tiger), L (A Princess), Y (Stich), N (Mickey character) if there was a 26 letter grouping of some of your bubble letters I could choose from that would be great TY
Linda,
Thanks so much! Cant wait to see what you come up with for 2013

Hi - This is Lisa...I am the one who "talked" to you several months back about Hawaii ideas and I see how creative you (once again )were ~ the designs are great Can you please do some for us again for our Cruise.
1. Greetings from Hawaii Lisa and Mark 2012
2. "do you believe" The Gough's 2012
3. Cruising to Hawaii Lisa and Mark
4. Disney Cruise Name Tag - Disney Wonder- Mark Lisa
5. Pirate Mickey Head 2012 Lisa (Minnie purple) Mark (Mickey red)
6. Mickey MH Birthday Hat - Mark 50th

Also do you have anything with the Cruise Itinerary with Hawaii Port Dates?
Thanks SO MUCH again for all you do for others - you are very special and are VERY appreciated
Thanks again for the images and all of your time you devote to creating them. I am getting ready to print the designs this afternoon and I ran into a snag. The shirt that I'm putting the "Monsters Inc Characters blank" on is almost the same color as the bubble. Is it possible to get the same design but in a white bubble?

Hi there...I remember shrinky dinks...I imagine if you started with a small enough image it should work for you. Unfortunatley I do not have a complete alphabet with different characters and honestly I just haven't had the time to do this. You're not the first to make this request and I will do this in the future. For now if you can tell me all the letters you want and with what characters I'll get those to you.

Thank you SO Much Yeah I did a sample Shrinky dink and I need to time them a little better but I was amazed at the color retention
I have navy blue t-shirts that I would like to print some designs on. Do you have any recommendations on which ones would look good on a dark shirt? There are 9 of us cruising in March. I liked the one that had the names creating the Mickey head outline, but not sure it would show up on the navy blue. Are you able to reverse the colors so the outline names are in white? Does that work when you print? TIA
Just wondering if anyone had any experience printing on dark shirts. Our cruise is in 3 weeks and I need to get busy on these shirts. Thanks!

Hi there, I'm currently working on an intinerary for Hawaii. Here are the rest of your requests for now.

Personally, I have only printed on dark shirts. I use dark transfers by amymickey on the disboards. Hers are the best and the only ones I will ever use.
