Dream of Lifetime TR Sept 23-Oct 5 **COMPLETE!! 9/14** - Page 5 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Our schedule has changed some due to us & WDW. We have had most of schedule done other than a few little changes here & there. This is going to be a long detail version of our schedule for all of you detail junkies like me. For those of you who don’t want to know all of the flight time & details I will put up a shorten version in the next post if you would like to see it. Well let’s get on with the show. I had about half of this typed up yesterday & the power went out. I am going to post the first 7 days of our schedule this post & then will post the rest tomorrow. Then I will post the shorten schedule tomorrow or the next day depending on time.
Tues Sept 23rd- Rise & shine about 3am get ready & need to be out the door about 3:45am no later 4am. It takes about 45 mins to get to the parking service that we use. Get our car checked in & off on their shuttle to Pittsburgh Airport. We are hoping to get to the security line by a little after 5am. We want to grab a little breakfast before catching our flight at 6:45am. Our flight is schedule to arrive in Orlando at 9am. Hopefully with a great flight we will arrive in great time. Go to DME to check in & get in line for the Poly. We are hoping that our room is ready but not counting on it. We will have swimsuits & towels packed in our carry on. So we could change & relax by the pool until our room is ready. Once the room is ready we will then head over to MK. If the room is ready then we are going to drop off our carry on & head over to the MK for shopping. Eventually either way we are hoping for some time to relax & freshen up. We will either have lunch at the hotel or Peco Bill’s depending on where we are at. We are going to get ready for our Poly Photo Shoot at 7pm. This was originally schedule for another day until Disney decided they were going to raise the price. This is the last day that we can get it for the $25. Then we will head over to the Spirit of Aloha at 8pm. We have never done this one & since we are staying here also my dad wanted to try it. We will probably fall into bed after we get back. As a surprise to the family I am going to have a cake delivered to the room while we are gone that night.
Wed Sept 24th-We will probably be schedule a wake up call for 7am get up & ready to head to MK. We are going to try to be over there for the opening ceremony so that we can watch that. In all the trips that we have been on we have never seen an opening yet. We are just not early risers. After watching that we will head in to check in for our KTTK tour. We are doing the 9:30 tour. We had to wait until this year because Shayne was not old enough. We will be having lunch at Columbia Harbor House with the tour. After the tour we will start tour MK & take our time. We didn’t schedule an ADR today because of the tour taking up a big part of our day. For dinner we will probably eat at Cosmic Ray’s whenever we get hungry. We might stay & watch the fireworks before heading back to the hotel to relax & chill out for a bit.
Thur Sept 25th-Orginal today we had planned to go to TL for the day but Disney has other plans for us. Since BB is closing on Sun which was the day we had planned to go. We are going to go to BB today. We are also going to Mini Golf while we are there & check out some of the slides at BB. We will go back to the hotel to change & head over to WL for dinner at 6:35pm at WCC. After that we will chill out at the hotel & do some laundry. Head off to bed for the night.
Fri Sept 26th-We are heading over to EPCOT today to sample some of the food & wine. We are having breakfast at Cape May with Goofy for Shayne at 10:00am then we will head into the world showcase to make way around the world. We will definitely be shopping & in case you didn’t notice we do like to shop a little! We another ADR at Le Cellier at 8:20 I have tried to call several times to reschedule so I could make it to the PP meet at Italy but no such luck. So I will try to make it over after dinner. Then we will head back to the hotel.
Sat Sept 28th- We will probably sleep in today then head over to DHS. We have an ADR at 50’s Prime Time at noon. We will tour around DHS until we have enough. We would like to be able to the new ride out. We haven’t decided if we are going to stay & watch Fantasmic or not yet. MK is open until midnight tonight so we might head over there for a while before calling it a night. Sun Sept 28th-This is a chill out day until evening. We are going to head over to CBR because we want to take a look at the pool & my dad likes doing the boats there. We will probably have lunch while we are there. I am not sure if we are going to do laundry before we go or when we get back. We get ready to head over the MK for MNSSHP we have dinner reservation at Liberty Tree at 5:05. We are dressing up for the party as Jack Sparrow & his crew. We trick & treat until they kick us out.
Mon Sept 29th- We are heading to TL today & so we will probably eat breakfast at the hotel I am dying to try some Tonga Toast. Then we will head to TL for some relaxing time floating around on a lazy river. Once we get back & clean up we head over to Kona Café for our ADR at 5:30pm. After dinner it is EMH at MK so we will probably head over there for a little while.
I'm going to chime in. You forgot to tell everyone that one of your pictures of the clouds won you a second place ribbon and a little moola at the county fair.

Auctually it was the second one. I love taking pictures & thought this year I would try to enter at the fair. I was so excited that I actually got second place. I can't wait to see what pictures I get from this year.

Tues Sept 30th- it’s a shopping day! DTD wooohooo! We will be eating breakfast at Ohana’s which is a first for us. Since Stitch is one of my favorites I am so excited. After breakfast we will hop a bus to DTD to shop until we drop. We will be eating a CS somewhere in DTD whenever we get hungry. My guess will be EOS. Today is also another schedule laundry day.
Wed Oct 1st-We are heading over to AK for the day. We will start our day off with some breakfast at Donald’s Breakfast Safari @10:30am. This is the first time for being here. Last year when we were there it was at the old place. We are hoping to catch Festival of Life & Nemo since we have not done either one of them. For a counter service we will eat at AK or Hotel we are not sure yet. AK has EMH tonight which we have never done there before so we think it will be fun.
Thur Oct 2nd- It’s my B-Day. Well at least in Disney eyes. I will be back with that in another post. We are having B-day breakfast at Crystal Palace @ 10:05. We will be enjoying MK for the rest of the day until they kick us out for MNSSHP. We head back to hotel & probably chill out at the pool. I am hoping to catch the MNSSHP fireworks from the beach tonight.
Fri Oct 3rd-We are heading to Epcot to do future part. We have lunch schedule at Coral Reef at 12:00pm. This is a first time for us & my dad really wanted to try it. Depending on how much time we spend over there we might head back over the worlds for more food & wine. For dinner we will either grab something at EPCOT or back at the hotel.
Sat Oct 4th- Today was suppose to be original check out day but since we added a day we thought we would just stick to what we had schedule. We will head over to the Contemporary for some breakfast at Chef Mickey’s at 10:15am. This is usually are farewell breakfast we have done this every year our last day. Since we won’t have anytime the next day we figure we just keep our old plans. We need to check in for our flight either at the Contemporary or Poly. We will head to the MK for one last hooray on all of our favorites. Spend some time soaking it all in to last for the next year until we come again. We will head back to the hotel to start packing up & do the rest of the laundry so that when we get home we don’t have a mountain to do. We have a dinner ADR at Ohana’s for 8:15pm. When we first schedule it we had a 9:30pm ressie so at least it is a little earlier.
Sun Oct 5th- We are checking out. Our flight leaves Orlando at 11:45am so we figure DME time will be somewhere between 8:30-8:45am. After everything is ready to go we might try to grab some breakfast at the hotel before we leave our happy place. We should arrive back at Pittsburgh around 2:00pm.
So that is our full schedule. Here is the schedule that I typed up.
We also have an idiot’s guide that we hang on the wall at the hotel so that we know what going on each day. This really helped my dad & brother out last year so that could just look to see what is going on for the day.
