As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!
Best wishes for a wonderful and magical new year!

Colexi\'s Spring Break Adventure - Thread 3 of 3 - COMPLETE 6/27
This is THREAD 3 of 3
If you want to start at the beginning, click here for THREAD 1

Here we go...........
Day 6 Part 3 ..........
Our dinner PS was at 6:40, and it was now 6:38. We hightailed it over to CP, arriving only a few minutes late, however the line to check-in was at least 20 people long They were announcing as well that they weren’t taking any walkups, it was only for people with PSs. It didn’t seem to thin the line at all I picked up my pager, and was told it would be about a 20 minute wait (which it was). We sat over on one of the benches across from the restaurant, and just relaxed and took some pictures.
Colin just a little too relaxed, with his Pull-up on his head
We were finally called in and shown to our table. We were all the way over on the right side, right up against the windows, looking into Adventureland What a nice spot, although we’re probably furthest from the food Our server came to take our drink orders, and we were soon surfing the buffet, well Matt and Colin. Pooh was coming, and Alexa wanted to take a picture. Of course, I had left the autograph book out in the stroller Matt stayed with Alexa until I got back, and thankfully, I made it before Pooh!
Alexa, and Colin following his big sister, got into the habit of rearranging her place setting wherever we went to eat this trip. She’d lay the napkin on the table spread out, and then lay our her plates, drinks, and silverware all around it Whatever keeps you busy and out of trouble is good enough with me The rest of the characters made their way around. Colin started to warm up to them as usual, when we got to the end. The food was fantastic, but I started to limit myself to just one plate this time (although it was quite full). I was already feeling the effects from previous buffets on my waistline Of course, that also means you can have one plate of dessert as well The only downfall here was that it took forever to get our check, and then forever to get it back once I had given him the DDE card and room charge. No matter, we still have a fabulous time in the 100 Acre Wood with these guys, and I’m sure we’ll be back for one meal or another. At least now we’ve completed all the seatings at this restaurant (B, L, D)!
By now it was about 8:45 and we’ve missed our FP time for Pooh Bear. And no one wanted to go over and ride it with me Boo His! The Carousel won out, and we were soon spinning with all the horses. Of course, we were lucky enough to get Cinderella’s horse again
We asked the kids what they wanted to do, and Alexa said she wanted to see the parade again. It’s almost 9:15 now, seats are going to be hard to come by since it’s much more crowded then we’ve seen it all week. We head toward Frontierland, and see they are giving away bracelets for EMH at the Liberty Belle dock, so we stopped in and got ours. We ended up just staying right there on the corner to see the parade. Matt put Alexa on his shoulders, and I put Colin on mine. There were quite some boisterous guests in this area, but we tried not to let that detract from enjoying the parade.
That done, we headed back to Fantasyland, since the kids vetoed Haunted Mansion. Never got to ride it this trip Peter Pan had about a 20 minute wait, so we waited for that. It was long……..we usually FP this ride, and now I know why! It also caused the kids to get to the end of their limit. They weren’t going to last much longer after this. We put them back in the stroller when we were done, and headed off toward the Carrousel. Wishes had just begun, and you guessed it, I’m stuck in Fantasyland watching it again So much for taking pictures of Wishes and the Castle this trip
Wishes ended, and we headed toward Tomorrowland, but both kids were just about out for the count. I wanted at least to get some pictures of the Castle changing colors, since I didn’t get my Wishes pictures! We sat across from the castle on the stone wall, so that we could rest, and I could take some pictures.
After a few minutes, a bunch of characters started coming out. Chip and Dale came right in front of us, so I raced up and had my picture taken!
After that, I spotted Mickey and Minnie, but that line was way too long. I spotted Donald, and headed over there. It was about a 5 minute wait, but not too bad. Unfortunately, when I gave the camera to Matt, he must have hit a button, or I hit one as I passed it off that changed my settings, so the picture came out horrible. I was able to lighten it somewhat so you could make me out, well, my shadow anyway.
After that, I resumed my spot on the stone wall, and Matt went to find a restroom. I think he was getting tired of waiting for me, but that’s too bad. I took more pictures of the Castle, and tried to get up closer to the commemorative pictures they had as well.
It was finally time to head back to the room, there were just too many people to really do any rides, and the kids were out anyway. I stopped to take one more picture of the Partners Statue and we headed out.
The line for the bus wasn’t too bad, but here’s my beef. The people in line wouldn’t follow the queue lines that they had set up, with the railings and the chains. When the first row was full, they just kept lining up behind one another, so it went past whatever bus stop was next to us. But some of us had already gone to the next row, trying to do the right thing, and of course, losing valuable seat space on the bus because instead of being near the front of the line, you’re at the end. Couple that with Matt’s inability to fold up the stroller that has Alexa in it before the bus gets there (he always waits for the bus to come) made for high tension between us. Why rush at the last minute when you don’t have to Anywho, we made it onto the bus (standing room only) and had some nice people give up their seats so that we could sit with the sleeping kids. The bus was packed full. First stop was the YC, and no one got off. Ugh. We finally made it to the BC, made it off the bus, and got the kids back into the strollers and up to bed. That was a long day! I took some pictures of the skyline before heading in for the night.
Memories of our Sixth Day
The weather today was…….warm and sunny, low 80s
The best thing today was…..the BC store has been remolded and you can now refill your own mugs
The worst thing today was……Leaving the AKL and the crowds at EMH night at MK
The funniest thing today was……..Colin putting his Pull-up on his head
Today we tried …….Beaches & Cream for lunch and CP for dinner
and the result was…….delicious for both
The most magical moment today was……Taking a picture with Art in the BC lobby
Coming Up Next………..We’re on the lookout for Chocolate Moose

Thanks for the update Marnie! The Castle pics are beautiful! What a bummer you didn't get to go on Pooh or the Haunted Mansion! HH was down for rehab on our '02 visit and it was really weird going to the MK and not being able to go on it! It just didn't seem right! Needless to say I can't wait to go on it this September!! Looking forward to another installment!

Gorgeous, gorgeous pictures of the castle, Marnie! I was a little nervous when I saw the picture of Colin, thinking he'd really banged his head and needed stitches. Then I read your caption. How funny!
Can't wait for more!
