Forums Closed
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.

So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.

Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.

And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.

We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.

There are other changes as well.

Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.

It's time to move on and move forward.

PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.

But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.

So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.

And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.

That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!

If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Best wishes for a wonderful and magical new year!

I love the themeing they used of Alice!!! It's one of my favorite Disney movies and a great idea for a bridal shower! Those cupcakes were amazing - it must have taken forever to make them! Your hair is just beautiful! Your big day will be here before you know it!

That's Disney Logic... kinda related to Disney Math!
Well, your disney logic is my sentiment exactly! lol!

I actually found cute thank you cards for the shower that are that similar color green too! lucky me for it being so popular!
Here's my thinking-- I would love both POFQ or the Poly so I know with either way I will be happy BUT because we will be leaving on Wednesday afternoon and coming home on Sunday we will only have 5 days so I can surely convince Rob to go with the Poly for the time saved using the monorail BUT if money is an issue we can save some there, ya know?

Thanks! They had really cute touches of Disney which was great without going overboard, which is exactly what I had wanted for the wedding too. A little bit of who I am and we are but nothing crazy. lol.

I am sure I will have mucho disneyness planned by the end of the summer but I wont delve much into it until after the wedding (hoping to have enough money left to put a deposit down in August when the 09 prices come out).
Tomorrow is my students final exam, and then friday is the end of the school year for me so I will probably have a fun update for everyone next week! yay!

Mad Hatter Tea Party was a great idea! I couldnt have picked anything better! My mom and sister are the best!
Thanks for the compliments on the hair, I love it, but know it will look better with the changes I want to make and being that he will put more wedding day effort in. lol.

I just got caught up on everything. Your tea party looks awesome. Glad it was a great time. Looks like everthing is moving right along. A disney trip in March I can't beleive it. My vote is for the Poly if you can swing it. The photo session is awesome.

Yay for POFQ! Once Rob is back on track with a job and all we will make our hotel choice, but I think we are going to put the deposit down on POFQ and then upgrade to the Poly if the money is there! Can't wait to here about your trip!
And furthermore-- I AM GETTING MARRIED IN 3 WEEKS! YAAAAYYYY!

Um, add me to the "I can't believe you are getting married in DAYS" club. I don't know where time goes. It's already July. Doesn't feel like summer. I'm so excited for you. Maybe a baby and a wedding on the same day??? I should be so lucky.

Hey everyone!
Three weeks until the wedding!!!! YAYYY!!!
In any case, nothing to crazy to update yet!
I am finally back on the exercise/eating track so I have 3 weeks of getting fit until the big day... and finally over the end of the school year stress-- and I knew this was the case when I woke up today and felt like I hadnt been to work in forever! lol! Ahhhh sweet sweet summertime!
One thing that has kept me and Rob super busy is re-painting our apartment! We painted an accent wall in the living room-- the color is called Peanut Butter:

And we repainted the bedroom.... it used to be this hideous awful pinkish purple....

But after the shower when we got pretty much every part of the Tommy Bahama bed set we registered for I chose a nice light yellow called Desert Lily... we also took the hideous border that had been up down!

Thhhenn we peeled the ugly grapevine border off our bathroom walls (sorry i dont have a b4 pic for that one) and we went with a light blue that matches the awesome DKNY bathroom set I got at my shower!

Well, on the wedding front-- we are exactly 3 weeks away! Rob and the guys got fitted for their tuxes... I made my alteration appointment for my dress... and we finally got all the reharsal dinner gifts! The guys cufflinks were great when they came in and I put the keychains together with the charms and the mickey earrings for the girls. The pluto and tink statues are in the closet for the kids, and we got our parents Willow Tree statues.

And we got my Uncle and Cousin who are doing the readings these cute Piglet statues.

They have tags that say "The trick to floating... is not to let go" and "If friends were flowers, I'd pick you" respectively.
Ohh and I changed my idea for my hair--
44796c5863e88a224b7388b91e82cc92_m.jpg
(I am attaching the pic I found becuase Im on Robs comp and dont want him to see it so click the thumb for the full size!)
I think for the girls- I am going to have the 2 bridemaids have hair half up also and have them get it really curled, not soft curls the way my style is but super curly... then my sister, the maid of honor, has short hair so i might just have her get some soft waves with a cute clip or something.
What do you think?
Ummm.... let me see if there is anything else....
I made plans with my bridal party to go for a Spa and Sushi day next Saturday and my friends to go to Coney Island next Sunday for a bit of a Bachelorette weekend. Oh and I am working on the programs so I will take a pic and post whenever I get the vacation box started too!
Hmmm... theres got to be more.
My mom is working on the bouquets...
The rehearsal and RD is all set...
Ceremony and Reception plans are all good....
me and Rob are getting are going to the town clerk Monday to get our liscense...
I am going to make the dress I didn't really like for the honeymoon (the black one) into a skirt--- Ill post pics when I do...
I got a pink & white set put on my nails this week, will get a fill before the wedding and then get a french polish so after the wedding I can take the french off and have the cute pink and whites for the honeymoon...
now I am just rambling...
lets see...
Still excited about an impending disney trip for 2010 and MORE excited the Rob openly acknowledgesit- lol!
and on that note... thats all for now!
TTFN!

WOW!! 3 weeks!! That is awesome. You must be on cloud 9. Love the willow tree statues. My mother got one for me of a mother with a little boy and a toddler boy. I cried of course. You've got this thing all planned to the tee. Looking forward to anything else you've got to share.

3 weeks... I'm remembering back, several months ago, when it seemed so far away...

The paint looks good(I'm kinda surprised that I like the peanut butter, but it looks good in that setting), the gifts are thoughtful, and the hair looks great!
