Brent and Liz's: 'Cinderella's gonna love this!, and so will Tink!' PTR Aug 17 - 26 - Page 3 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I have not been a tat person myself. Always thought they weren't for me. However, I love mine. And Brents. He took it so well. I mean, after he asked for general anesthesia he seemed to man up a bit. Noooooo, I am just kidding, he did great!
I can only imagine how long Brent's tattoo took to do!! Years ago when I had mine done (it's small and only one color) there was a man having a tattoo done on his neck and he passed out from the pain!! Brent, hopefully it wasn't that painful!

Signing in for another ride along with Brent & Liz! We will be in the World just a bit after you (Sept 9-20). Nice ink on both of you. And I love your rationale and explanation. So true!
Thank you all for the many wonderful comments on our tattos. We appreciate all the compliments! To answer a few of your questions: YES, Mine hurt! It was mostly tolerable but a few moments in there were pretty uncomfortable, but I wanted this so bad, I didnt mind. I knew it was gonna hurt but I wanted to do it very much so I was ok with it. The whole experience was pretty fantastic. I know at the initial visit, our tattoo guy, 'Ike' heard what I wanted and pretty much had the attitude of "I don't get paid to ask questions, I get paid to give you what you want." which was pretty understandable given my rather unusual request. But after a few phone calls during the week to him, asking him questions and telling him more of what I wanted, I think we started to unleash the artist in Ike. When we got there for our tattoo appointment he was ready and he got started after mentioning that this was the first time he had done Cinderella. Let alone on a guy. That made me feel good. How many people can say they made thier tattoo artist/body piercer say that? Made me feel pretty tough! (Even though I was wearing a shirt with a picture of me and Cinderella on it) I could tell Ike was really getting into it as he worked because he had me hold the picture up so he could see it as he worked to get the colors right. Then toward the end he asked if she wore eye shadow and what color. At that point I knew we were totally dealing with the artist side of Ike. He wanted this to be perfect. Of course I whipped out my phone and pulled up a picture of me and Cinderella, and zoomed in so he could see the eye shadow. Perfect, he says with a smile. He originally said it would take maybe an hour and 15 minutes. I was in the chair every bit of 2 and a half hours, but that was fine with me to get it perfect. Now I can take Cindi and the ideals I mentionec previously with me everywhere I go and I'm very happy with that. I think at some point I may want another Cindy tat somewhere, but where?
Anyway on with the plans. As I said earlier we hope the flight goes smooth and we arrive in time to hit the MK for EMH on our arrival night. Hopefully we can catch the Princesses at the Theatre before they close. Saturday morning we have a breakfast at Akershus in Epcot. This may be our first meeting with the Princesses if things don't go perfectly on our arrival night. After breakfast we will check out Epcot for awhile, then we have a dinner at Chef Mickeys. We will definitely go to the MK either before or after our dinner to meet my beloved Cinderella at the Town Theatre meet n greet.
Sunday Aug 19th,
This will mostly be an MK day, possibly with a hop to another park if the mood hits us. We shall be having lunch at The Plaza Restaurant (never done this one, pretty excited), and dinner at 1900 Park Faire where we will surely meet my dearly beloved, the one and only white-glove clad one, Cinderella! Then back to MK for EMH.
Monday Aug 20th
Back to MK for Crystal Palace breakfast then hop to Epcot and Akershus for dinner.
Tues Aug 21st
This will be a Studios day with a 50's Prime Time lunch , and hopping to Epcot for a La Hacienda dinner, hopefully with a view of Illuminations.
Wed Aug 22
It’s back to Epcot today with a lunch at Akershus, (love those princesses!) and back to the MK for dinner at Tony's Town Square.
Thurs Aug 23
Epcot again with a lunch at Le Cellier, then a late dinner at 1900 Park Fair
Fri Aug 24
Ohanna for dinner. This may be our Animal Kingdom day as well.
Sat Aug 25
Cape May for breakfast, then a last nights dinner at our special place, 1900 Park Fair
Sunday Aug 26
Departure day.
Our dining plans may get tweaked a bit but that’s the long and short of it. We certainly have enough time in there for plenty of Meets with the Princesses and Tink. Riding lots of rides, and just enjoy being there. Lots of soaking up the sun and heat by the pool. Lots of people watching around World Showcase. Can’t wait.
Now with our trip less than two months away, I need to get busy making our photo books and shirts! The Princesses depend on those from us y’know!
Can't wait to see this next round of tees! You always do a nice job!
And hey - didn't realize that you would be there for my daughters 13th bday (on the 19th!)!!!! Yeah.........you might have to remind Cindy that it is Princess Emily's birthday that day........................Princess Emily received a very special phone call one year on her birthday from Cinderella herself (bet you're jealous now Brent!!)
