McGuire's Irish Pub here in Pensacola (or over in Destin, FL as well)!!!

The walls are wallpapered with Irishman signed dollar bills (last count was just over $250,000!!!)

For an appetizer, I like the Irish Potato skins or the boxtys.

The Corned beef and cabbage and the Irish Steak and Mushroom Pie are both very good! They also have 20 different burgers on the menu (some are VERY good, some are VERY spicy, some have very ODD ingredients . . . there's even one that has chocolate in and on it!!! )

When it comes to drinks . . . I stick with diet coke, but DH has tried the McGuire's Irish Red Ale, the Raspberry Wheat and the Stout . . . he said all were tasty and the Raspberry Wheat was "good, but different")

We are large in size, but small in goods and services. We have one restaraunt, Killarney House, and it's an Irish Pub/Restaraunt.

Now in Annapolis, all things touristy are there, but we rarely eat downtown because it is so pricey, crowded and the food just isn't as good as WDW!

However, we do eat at the Double T Diner quite frequently, because they have, hands down, the best crab cakes and crab imperial we have ever eaten. We are both born and raised in Maryland on crab, and it is our most favorite. It's not a fancy place, but their dinners are awesome.

For touristy meals, I do like the Chart House and Ruth Chris' Steakhouse for beef. But ooheee it's expensive. For our anniversary, we went to Ruth's, and without any alcoholic beverages, dinner was $150 for the both of us.

PS, I am trying Palo on the Wonder next month for the first time!

In town - Goody's Restaraunt, I recommend the dolmathes (Greek), or the Tostada (Mexican). They are Greek, and their daughters have married: a hispanic, a black man, and a Chinese man. Lots of different food and it's cheap.

In Indy - Loon Lake Lodge. Kind of Le Cellier and Rainforest Cafe combined (think deep woods Canada)

Sarah, we've been to the one in Destin. You didn't mention the entertainment factor that's there as well!

Common Man is the best. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. You can't get in on the weekends without at least a 2-3 hour wait ....that's why I love call ahead seating

We live in a small village with 1 locally owned pizza place, a diner, and a fairly new restaurant called Maw's Place, which we haven't tried yet, although I've heard a lot of good comments about it, so I think I would recommend the new place.

Sit down - El Camino Real - authentic Mexican food huge, tasty portions for very little money.

Counter (actually drive-in) - Bummie's - its an old B&K rootbeer stand with the best rootbeer and corndogs.

Jenny - I LOVE the Common Man!! I've never been to the Merrimack one - but the original in Ashland is awesome!!! Do they still have the chunks of white chocolate in Merrimack??

Definitely Mezcal's in Bay Ridge. It's an authentic Mexican restaurant with the best food EVER! You have to get the sizzling shrimp fajitas or the chicken and beef chimichangas... mmm! Or, of course, Ellen's Stardust Diner, my fav restauarant! Definitely get the Rueben!

Hmm...there are two places with an equal 5 star rating in my mind. Both are in my former hometown, Stroudsburg, as we've just moved. Both are local haunts. Flood's Irish Pub and Ned's on 9th.

At Flood's, you gotta have their award winning hot-wings and roasted garlic appetizer with a pint of Guiness.

At Ned's, there are some absolute musts! Fried, fresh calamari, grilled cashews, Duchess potatoes, roast beef hoagie with swiss cheese and au jus, kelly fries, a pint of a local micro, and chocolate nemesis cake. Oh, and it's the place to be on St. Patty's day for corned beef, cabbage, taters, green beer, and Guiness Beef Stew.

We live in such a foodie area that I don't think I could pick just 1. We are within walking distance of 20-30 restaurants (The area of Berkeley we live in is called the Gourmet Ghetto). Sticking with the neighborhood, I'd have to say Fontina for calamari (we've got 6:00 reservations tonight!!) Barney's for the best burgers, the Cheeseboard for pizza and Chez Panisse, downstairs, for an amazing, ignore the budget, prix fix dinner. For Chinese or Mexican I'd have to drive 5 minutes.
