Half a dozen completely useless questions that you can answer in yoru psare time, but dont' expect much because they are pretty dumb. - Page 2 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

A real quick aside - anyone else think it's funny that for those of us who've eaten the Flintstone vitamins, we're not addressing our favorite flavors as "Cherry, or Grape," it's "purple, & red."
Guess that goes to show there's no accounting for taste! (Sorry, bad metaphoric pun)
#1. If you drink soda, do you drink it warm, or must it be cold? Has to be ice cold.
#2. Did you eat Flintstones vitamins as a kid? Which color was your favorite? Still do and I prefer orange.
#3. Do you call the stuff that goes on cakes frosting, or do you call it icing? frosting
#4. Would you rather eat a donut or a muffin? Blueberry Muffin
#5. Do you like to eat raw vegetables (plain, no dips or anything)? Gotta have dip!
#6. Which would you rather have: a glass of wine, or a glass of beer? wine

1. It's gotta be cold!
2. Yep, I did, and I liked the purple ones.
3. I call it "icing" - and I don't like it either (except on cupcakes - and even then, I could leave it)
4. A Krispy Kreme donut (invented in NC!) or chocolate Sweet Sixteens. Other than that, a pumpkin muffin, or nothing at all - not big on breakfast pasteries in the first place.
5. Yep, I like raw veggies.
6. Beeeeeeer. BeerBeerBeer. And not even a "classy" beer, and I don't usually like microbrewery's beers - it's Bud Light or Busch Light for me. (i.e. CHEAP DATE!)
#1. I've been known to drink soda in cans that have been in the car all day. I often just take one out of the pantry and drink it, and it's not cold, not even cool. I really like them ice cold, tho.
#2. My parents wouldn't let me eat Flintstones when I was a kid... meanies!
#3. I call it frosting, but it's still "icing on the cake" when I'm conversing and using that phrase!
#4. Fresh out of the fryer from Krispy Kreme; otherwise a muffin -- bran from Mimi's or the Blueberry from Costco.
#5. I love carrots fresh with nothing on them; otherwise, usually I do something to them.
#6. Wine, merlot or cabernet... now sounds good!!!

#1. If you drink soda, do you drink it warm, or must it be cold? COLD
#2. Did you eat Flintstones vitamins as a kid? Which color was your favorite? Yep - orange.
#3. Do you call the stuff that goes on cakes frosting, or do you call it icing? Depends.
#4. Would you rather eat a donut or a muffin? Donut
#5. Do you like to eat raw vegetables (plain, no dips or anything)? Some.
#6. Which would you rather have: a glass of wine, or a glass of beer? Wine.
#1. If you drink soda, do you drink it warm, or must it be cold?
Yes and it MUST be as cold as possible!
#2. Did you eat Flintstones vitamins as a kid? Which color was your favorite?
I don't remember taking vitamins, but I probably did. We never had brand names of anything, so I doubt they were Flintstones. I liked pink and red of everything as a kid!
#3. Do you call the stuff that goes on cakes frosting, or do you call it icing?
Frosting
#4. Would you rather eat a donut or a muffin?
Donut -- glazed with chocolate FROSTING and filled with Bavarian creme!
#5. Do you like to eat raw vegetables (plain, no dips or anything)?
For the most part, I don't like veggies period. I like raw tomatoes, baby carrots and that's about it.
#6. Which would you rather have: a glass of wine, or a glass of beer?
I don't really drink so I'd probably ask for a glass of water or iced tea. Unless, of course, you had some champagne hiding behind the bar somewhere.....

#1. If you drink soda, do you drink it warm, or must it be cold? Cold, unless I'm pregnant, then it's warm Sprite
#2. Did you eat Flintstones vitamins as a kid? Which color was your favorite? Not often - we were poor, and didn't have money for things like that. When we did get them - I didn't notice a difference in the taste.
#3. Do you call the stuff that goes on cakes frosting, or do you call it icing? Yes - I interchange the words, they mean the same to mean.
#4. Would you rather eat a donut or a muffin? Donut - from Dunkin' Donuts (YEah - just opened up after a multi-year absence, but not really close to me!) Unless Starbucks' has Cranberry Muffins in, then Yummy!!
#5. Do you like to eat raw vegetables (plain, no dips or anything)? Plain - I don't like dips usually. I REALLY don't like Ranch anything.
#6. Which would you rather have: a glass of wine, or a glass of beer? Wine. I don't like the taste of beer. Now, there are a few German Ales that I like, but I don't rememeber their names. All I know is that Dad used to get them.

#1. Here we drink Pop (hee hee) and i prefer it cold, but warm is just fine.
#2. Yes...I loved the orange.
#3. Frosting...but on cookies it's icing (it can even come from the same bowl/can...go figure...never thought of it until now...how weird am I?)
#4. Muffin...unless it's a Daylight Donut glazed
#5. Yes I eat raw vegetables - especially broccoli or cauliflower
#6. I'm not a big drinker, but wine would be better.

#1. If you drink soda, do you drink it warm, or must it be cold? -- I'd prefer it ice cold. But if I am dying of thirst, I will chug it down however it comes. #2. Did you eat Flintstones vitamins as a kid? Which color was your favorite? -- Heck yes, I did. And I liked the red and orange ones best. I only tolerated the purple ones. #3. Do you call the stuff that goes on cakes frosting, or do you call it icing? -- Frosting. My neighbor always looks at me like I am from some other planet everytime I call it frosting and tries to correct me saying "It's called ICING. I should know, I have a baking business." Mmmmm-hmmmm . . . in my house, it's called frosting. #4. Would you rather eat a donut or a muffin? -- Hmm . . . I'll take both please, as long as the muffin is chocolate chocolate chip, thanks. #5. Do you like to eat raw vegetables (plain, no dips or anything)? -- I usually will eat them raw, but sometimes will put a little peanut butter on carrots or celery. #6. Which would you rather have: a glass of wine, or a glass of beer? -- A glass 3/4 full of Diet Coke and 1/4 full of Bacardi rum. I don't like the tastes of beer or wine.
#1. If you drink soda, do you drink it warm, or must it be cold? Cold
#2. Did you eat Flintstones vitamins as a kid? Which color was your favorite? I think we had both Flintstones and Bugs Bunny vitamins - Mom would buy whichever were on sale. I can't remember which colour was my favourite but I remember avoiding the purple ones cuz they were nasty!
#3. Do you call the stuff that goes on cakes frosting, or do you call it icing? Icing
#4. Would you rather eat a donut or a muffin? Doughnut.
#5. Do you like to eat raw vegetables (plain, no dips or anything)? Some are ok without dip, but everything tastes better with onion dip!
#6. Which would you rather have: a glass of wine, or a glass of beer? Wine

#6. Which would you rather have: a glass of wine, or a glass of beer?
1. Cold

3. Either--no rhyme or reason to why
4. Donut! Chocolate iced, creme filled long john
5. I'll eat them, but they're much better when dipped!
6. Neither, thanks.
#1. If you drink soda, do you drink it warm, or must it be cold? mostly I drink it warm, just b/c there's no room in the fridge to store it. I do like Mt. Dew cold, though.
#2. Did you eat Flintstones vitamins as a kid? Which color was your favorite? Nope. My mom bought some generic type. I liked orange.
#3. Do you call the stuff that goes on cakes frosting, or do you call it icing? frosting. I think of icing as the thin powdered sugar glaze that you drizzle over stuff.
#4. Would you rather eat a donut or a muffin? this is no choice. I cannot choose!
#5. Do you like to eat raw vegetables (plain, no dips or anything)? w/o dip? NO!
