Wait!!! Wasn't this supposed to be a weekend trip? TR COMPLETE 11/2 - Page 18 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Just finished reading your entire TR, and can't wait to hear what else you do! You seem to have so much fun with your girls, and I'm impressed with how well they get along!

I have actually had a few people say the same thing...I actually remember seeing the black wall out of the corner of my eye, I was worried that maybe it was the ride was getting to me but glad that was cleared up and that it was only a bad seat that did it too me.

It's strange, I love the MK, seeing the castle is magical but if I had to chose one park to go too if I only had one day (and did not have a PH...lol) it would be Epcot. My favorite is the International Gateway and walking right into the World Showcase

I was really happy we got so much done in the morning, this way we could do repeats but at least we knew we covered everything the girls wanted to do.

The crowds were really good that day as I made a note to myself. The only "lines" were TT and Soarin, everything else was a walk on...(I think the longest wait we had other than those two rides was SE later in the evening and it was maybe 5 o7 minutes).

They have their moments.... while for the most part they are very loving, there are times that Angel can get on her big sisters nerves or visa versa.

Now wasn't sure exactly but suddenly as we were heading towards the WS I felt that not wanted shooting pain that I get right before a headache hits...now it was hot, but not terrible, I had eaten and had been drinking water and by this point I was not sure what had been setting off these headaches....just figured that the original one never really went away so as we walked I stopped and took a pill.
Since we were eating in Mexico tonight we decided to start out World Tour out in Epcot. Since I knew it had been awhile I took a picture of the cottage (I knew some residents might enjoy a picture to tide them over until they make it there themselves )
While the girls looked around (and got their passports stamped) Jasmine took some pictures (like is anyone surprised at this )
Jasmine mentioned she was a bit hungry and I figured maybe eating would help the headache (and I should eat when I take the medication or I get really tired from them) so we decided to head to France...except Caleigh was hungry (for a small kid she can eat ) and she was so hungry she would not make it to France (now I explained that France was right over the bridge but at that moment she was so hungry that the time it would take us to get to France would probably feel like if she was really walking from France to England) so we stopped at the Yorkshire Shop.
Angel had wanted fries but this place is off limits as they fry both the fries and fish in close containment so Caleigh went and ordered a fish and chips and the rest of us took a seat so she could eat and then we would go and grab something in France.
I did grab a soda as I did not have any today and sometimes the caffine helps my headache...not sure if it helped (or if it was the quick action of taking a pill quickly) but while the headache was there I did feel a bit of relief from that pounding pressure behind my eye (ok more like stabbing pain which at times could drive me to stick an ice pick in the other eye just to switch the pain up some), and I rested my head a bit while Caleigh ate her lunch so when she was done I felt ok enough to head to our destination...but not before Angel and Caleigh took a detour to get their passports signed in the UK.
Now there was a huge crowd of kids coloring their Duffy's and almost no line for a real bear that was looking for a hug so once the girls passports were signed we headed over to meet Pooh and Tigger.
I will have to post the photopass pictures once I get the CD (soon I promise, almost finished editing) but the girls had such great interaction here. Pooh and Tigger could not get enough and they kept swapped them for hugs. After we had spend some time Angel went to pick up her bag and suddenly Pooh came over and grabbed her hand....why you ask? Well because Pooh saw that Angel was holding a Duffy and he was so happy so he needed to have an extra hug and have Angel and Duffy pose with him for another picture.
Even with my headache and my need for food I am so glad that I told the girls to stop and get their passports signed now - it was so worth it for the great meet. (I knew we would be back again but since Caleigh was leaving I wanted her to get as many stamps as she could today).
The walk to France was not so bad since Caleigh was not hungry anymore and once we got there nothing seemed to interest us...well let me not lie, a lot interested me but I knew I needed real food not an overdose of sugar so we passed on eating anything there. We did stop for the girls to get their passport signed...while we waited I took a picture of the beret display, I love that they have such a wide variety of colors.
Now I needed to eat so we bypassed Morocco and Japan and headed to America as Jasmine wanted to try one of the speciality burgers. While we ate the girls wanted to color their Duffy's and there were two CMs there that we on their day off...and there they were coloring Duffys
I forgot which burger Jasmine had but I had a regular burger and I ordered Angel some fries as that was all she was in the mood for. Jasmine said her burger was great, and I enjoyed mine as well. Now with our bellies full we headed back so the girls could continue coloring. We wanted to see the American Adventure but we had some time so the girls browsed, Jasmine went to take a bathroom break and I sat and just people watched for a bit.
We headed in and enjoyed the Voices of Liberty a bit and soon enough we were being led in for the show. Now I love this show but I think between the medication and the headache...well I took a brief nap and woke up in time to see the movie at the end of the show. By the looks of it I think everyone took a brief nap...the sun got much hotter this afternoon and I think the heat did us all in.
We wandered back to Japan (we never made it back to Morocco this day, I felt bad as Caleigh did not get that stamp but she said it just gave her a reason to have to come back ). We wandered the store for a bit, got their passports signed and finally got to enjoy a full showing of candy making.Thir girls posed afterwards with their favorite animals. She really is amazing...what was funny was poor Jasmine was trying to understand what she said but all she could understand was "shiny candy" which became a catch phrase for us all the rest of the trip.
The girls had been itching to do a Kim Possible Mission so they stopped at the cart near Italy and the CM was so in character...after giving the girls their assignment he asked for a photo.
Jasmine took some photos along the way as we waited for the girls to get their passports signed in Italy before we headed towards their mission.
Their first mission was in Germany...
We let the girls do the mission while Jasmine and I took a seat to relax...and of course for Jasmine to take more photos.
They saved Germany, got the passports signed and asked to do one more...luckily they could pick the next mission and they picked Mexico....can anyone say AC.
They did take a pitstop in China...Jasmine wanted to see the stone soliders but we decided to check them out the next time we were here as dinner was fast approaching and we had another mission to take care of.
Jasmine and I wandered the Mexican market while the girls saved the day again and suddenly Angel came over very upset. Seems that Duffy had a tear under his arm and she was worried that he would rip more so before checking in for dinner while the girls wandered around Mexico I went to the store near the Friendship dock (which I suddenly forgot the name of) and asked if they had a small sewing kit. The CM asked what was the problem and I explained it to her...
Well before I could get another word out she walked away from the counter and headed back with a brand new Duffy , now I know WDW has great customer service but I was not expecting a new Duffy, just some thread. She said it was no worry. I explained that Duffy was not brand new but she said that it was no problem for them to send it back, that even at 3 months old he should not have ripped at the seam like that so after changing the "old" Duffy's clothes to the "new" Duffy I walked out after many thank yous thinking I had just saved the world....
Little did I know
Up next: Our first try at La Hacienda and a crisis adverted by more amazing Disney service.

Wandering around WS is my fav! Poor Duffy! Glad you were able to get a new one. At least I think so! The same kind of thing happened to me once. I ripped the hood of my poncho (totally my fault), and when I went to buy a new one, the CM just gave it to me!

It really was so much fun . . . and I'm glad that I got over my fear of ToT a few years ago!
I'm enjoying reading about what you guys did after we left! Epcot sounds like a blast so far - - and I love the picture of the three girls in the car! Scary, but cute!!!
