As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

Yeah - I know all too well that feeling of the lost driver's license!!! Wondering how to get on the flight Luckily mine was found as well.
Of course, I wouldn't mind being stranded at Disney. I'd miss my family though.

The food wasn't great but at least my boys got their NBA fix. The hands look abnormally large. But I imagine they are indeed that big. Wouldn't want to get slapped by one of those.

Just an FYI, I only took notes for half of this day and from this day forward I took 0 notes. So I'll be relying heavily on pictures and a bit on memory. Let's see how that goes.
June 9 - Uh oh, the car won't start
I woke up at 8:30. I think we had to return the car at 9:30. We decided to leave the kids sleeping in the room while we took care of that. We got to the car and Arben went to start it but it wouldn't start. He tried everything but nothing worked. Ugh. He then decided to go back to the room to get the phone so I could call CCC. While he was away I tried, unsuccessfully to start it. I pushed the gas pedal, I put it on neutral then back again in parked, I prayed to God to please let me start it. Secretly, I was wishing I was the one to figure it out. Anyways, nothing worked either.
Arben arrived back with the phone and I started to call CCC while he worked the car again. Just as the call was ringing, I heard the magical sound of the engine starting. I quickly disconnected the call and got in the car. I asked him how he had done it and he answered that he pushed the brake pedal and turned the key. That did the trick. I asked him how come he didn't remember doing that from yesterday, he said he didn't know. He was pretty sure he hadn't done that. Oh well, another crisis avoided.

With that debacle behind us, we headed over to CCC. We got gas from the Hess station there and it only cost us $16 to fill up the tank. And Alamo wanted me to pay $50 for the full tank. Take that Alamo! The process of turning in the car was painless and we were soon on a shuttle back to Kidani. The boys were still sleeping when we got there. I started breakfast and they slowly woke up.
I wanted to go to Epcot, because I wanted to explore the countries and also because I wanted to buy Arben's Father's Day present. Adriel and Abniel wanted some pool time so they stayed back with their dad, while AJ and I went off.

I think at this time I realized that my batteries were low and I didn't have any spare. AJ ran back to the room and got me some. Thankfully, no busses came until he was back. Finally a bus arrived, we boarded and arrived at Epcot shortly after.

We started our tour of the world over by Canada.

We continued our journey of the world.
I wanted to watch Impressions de France, as I'd never watched before. AJ didn't want to, so he decided to wait for me outside. I loved the movie and hope I can get the rest of the gang to watch it with me next time.
We kept walking around and I snapping pictures. I know we went to Morocco but I have no pictures.
Our next break was to watch Reflections of China, another first. I managed to convince AJ to watch this one.

I got bored.
We went in and found out it was standing. Oops, didn't do my research. AJ wasn't thrilled at all. He did start playing "Where's Waldo" Chinese version type of game, trying to guess where the guy would pop out next. It was quite entertaining.
We kept on with our tour. I'm not sure why I didn't take anymore pictures.
Then we stopped at Norway, where I was buying Arben his present: the Geir perfume. With my purchase in hand, we continued our journey.

I still wanted to buy something else for Arben, so we headed to Mouse Gear. After searching for a bit I found a FIFA 2014 beer mug that I thought he would like. I bought that and then we headed out of the park.
When we got to Kidani, I sent AJ in the room first to see where his dad was. Luckily for me, he was taking a shower, so I quickly hid his presents. I then started a frozen pizza for us to have for lunch.
We ate our pizza and relaxed for a while. Then it was time to start getting ready for the evening. After doing that, rather quickly, we headed out.
Another nice few hours of park touring for you and AJ. Just roaming around WS is a favorite pastime of mine. I like the new bus screens at the resorts-- were they helpful and pretty accurate?
Glad the car finally started!
Great day you and AJ had touring the WS, you covered a lot of ground. Glad you found some nice Fathers Day gifts for Arben
Seems like you and AJ had some fun in WS on a nice sunny day! I like those new bus stop screens. Makes a lot of sense, to give you some idea when your bus will be arriving. Sometimes it feels like the waits are endless and every bus but yours makes a stop and some of them more than once.

I loved walking around WS and snapping pictures. There is so much to see in the pavilions. I can spend a whole day there.
The times were very accurate. I liked those new screens, as it gave you an idea how long would it take for a bus to arrive.

Oh, that happened to us lots of times. The same thing when going back to the resort. All other busses but the one you needed.
