The Wacky Hijinks of the Crazy Lady Trio at Mousefest **Updated 3/10** - Page 15 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Glad you are feeling better and back to the business of this TR. It was great having our first "Close Encounter of the CLT" that morning. So glad it wasn't the last!

Good thing I like being a "target" for mockery... GOOD THING!!
Yes, that incredibly messy bed was **mine** -- I've said time and time again that my bed always looks like I've been wrestling kangaroos in it. (And I'd even neatened it up a tad before Sharon had a chance to snap that pic.) Now, I'd like to hear a few people give Sharon a hard time for having her two princessy pillow cases -- and, while you're at it, give Karen a bit of a nurple about having her own feather pillow on the plane. Sheesh... <<shakes head>> ...bunch of pansies.
K... well... what else do I need to defend myself over... hmmm... lessee....
Oh yeah. The "hearing the howling dogs at the Haunted Mansion." It took me a few rounds the previous evening before I could pick out the sounds of the dog from our room, but I did eventually hear it over everything else -- and, yes, I like to make Karen feel bad for teasing me by playing up my inability to do anything as if it was a symptom of my MS. Hey, the girl can think circles around me... I have to use her "healthy" guilt whenever it gives me an advantage!
However, I would like to say that, by the next morning (or pre-morning), I could *definitely* hear the howling... no problem! In fact, it gave me a bit of a giggle because I stepped out on the balcony in my nighty at o'dark thirty to share the sunrise with Sharon and the first thing I heard was the "wolf whistle" from the HM -- clear as a bell. I turned right around, grabbed my cardigan and pulled it on, saying "fresh thing!"
I'm glad you nabbed a pic of the toiletries, Sharon! Karen swiped them off the counter so fast that I never got a picture myself -- she even cleaned off the potions and lotions in the shower! (I never checked her bags to see if she also nabbed the TP...)
As for that Buzz score Miss Sharon (our "challenged one") got... well, you could've blown me over with a feather. See, after having wisely maneuvered things so that I was well out of range of Karen's wicked right cross, I figured I had the top score in the bag. Then... zingo... I get a 100,000 target in the first room. Then... zippo... I get a few 25,000 targets in the volcano room. Powie... another 100k target and tons of little targets. When I saw my score fly over 270,000, I got really cocky. I turned around to do some serious gloating and Sharon knocked me smack between the eyes with her 1k victory over my score. I have to say that she showed some seriously amazing restraint in not making Karen and me 'eat it' for the next hour.
But... the baby story... I think that one needs a little fluffing from my point-of-view.
See, we were all excited to see the new Dream Along With Mickey show -- even me, who'd seen it just two days before. Karen stepped the farthest into the crowd (naturally ) with Sharon standing beside her and a little back. I was the third person in our little diagonal line, which put me right next to the woman with the little baby. During the show, I happened to notice that she was swaying a little back and forth. At first I thought she was comforting the baby, but eventually it struck me that she had that oh-my-gosh-I'm-gonna-faint look on her face. I asked her if she was okay and, suddenly, I had her baby in my arms. She stepped to her stroller and whipped off her cardigan and glugged down a BIG bottle of water. The sun was directly overhead and it was H.O.T. I told her to take her time, especially as her son seemed perfectly content -- albeit a tad confused at the "switch" -- to stay in my arms. I instinctively started bobbing up and down and rocking side-to-side. Suddenly, the thought struck me that Karen and Sharon were oblivious to this whole encounter and that gave me the giggles thinking about what their reactions would be -- especially as I was pretending that this whole incident was the most natural thing in the world. I must've sent telepathic messages to them because, first, Sharon turned around, did a big double-take and burst into laughter. She angled behind me so she could get that picture of the baby's face. This movement alerted Karen to look behind her. SHE did a big double-take and I just looked back at her calmly with a "look what *I* did while you were distracted" look on my face. We all giggled and goggled at the obsurdity of that situation. After another minute or so, the mom was recovered from her near swoon and she motioned for her baby. I handed him back to her, but he seemed a little miffed to be pulled away from my magnificence and he reached out for me again.
As we walked off after the show, Karen tried on her inner Lady Tremaine and said, "That was *odd*..."
I just got caught up, and this TR is FANTASTIC! You are just so funny, and you all seem to be having the best time! I am especially impressed with your Buzz score, because I'm incredibly lame at it. I think I need some of those insider tips...(like it would make a difference! )
