How many days of vacation do you get a year?
How many sick days are you allowed each year?

I get 25 days vacation a year, while DH gets 30 days. It doesn't work the same way in terms of being allowed sick days. There's no allowance, but where I am, you have six months on full pay if you're off sick, then six months half pay. DH has a week paid, as it's a small company, so you can see the difference...

I've been at my workplace for over 25 years.
I get 24 vacation days and 12 sick days. We also have 11 holidays.
Vacation days can accrue to a certain point before you lose them...I don't know what that point is because I use my vacation.
Sick days can be accrued and kept. I have approx seven months of sick days available to me right now.

Technically, I have 3 weeks of vacation a year. I work in a theatre, so you're not allowed to be sick! The show must go on. The only time I'm out sick is when I'm in the hospital. But our staff is very good about taking care of you when you're sick, so it's not that bad. As far as holidays go, we don't work Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day, Easter, and I don't work on my Birthday.

I work part-time at a friend's shop. I don't get paid vacation or sick leave, but he's really cool about not minding when I go on vacation. DH works for the Federal govt. He gets 26 vacay days a year (you can carry over 240 hrs each year, but any more and you lose them). He always has the 240 to roll over because the first few years he was also in school and so couldn't really go on vacations, so saved it up. Now he gets so much each year that it usually covers the trips we take. He gets a similar amount of sick days, and there is no limit on those. DH hasn't needed a sick day in I don't know when, so he has a TON of hrs. He's been with the govt for over 11 yrs.

I get 2 weeks paid vacation a year. I don't have paid sick days. If I'm out sick, I have to take an unpaid day or use vacation time.

As a teacher I don't get any paid vacation days. I do get 10 sick days a year and they can be saved year after year. Thank goodness I did that since I missed 80 school days last year. We do get 4 paid holidays per year.

I'm now caregiver to DH...........so no vacation or sick days off. I'm "at work" 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. My only time off this year was my trip to WDW in Sept.

I get ten vacation days, 3 personal days, 5 sick days and 11 preset holidays. So I really cannot complain. I also have the types of bosses that if you need to come in late or leave early just make up the time.

At my current time spent at the hospital, I get 7.(?) hours of PTO (Paid Time Off) every pay period, so 26 times a year. IF it's 7.4 hours, which I think it might be, or close to it, I get 16 days off a year. That's vacation, sick days, mental health days, etc.

As a teacher, I get no paid vacation or holidays. Our salary is based on 187 work days a year -we work every day we are paid for unless we're out sick or use a personal day. I do get 15 sick days a year and 2 private personal days where I don't have to state a reason but there are restrictions on personal days by contract -we can't use them to extend a long weekend or other scheduled school vacations.

as a teacher I get 14 sick days and 5 personal days a year I do not get vacation time but I get all holidays off and the entire summer off

Since I'm retired, there are no longer vacation or sick days. But when I taught, we didn't really get any vacation days unless you count 2 personal days. Teachers also go 10 sick days per year.
