As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!

She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). I am planning a vacation for 7 or 8 people, and we're not all morning people. That said, I did want to get people out for some Breakfasts, because I hear that some of the Breakfasts are just plain Awesome!
As we're not morning people, and the best time to see the animals on the Safari is in the AM, I figured mixing Breakfast and the AM safari into one day would be a good idea, so we don't have to wake everyone up early more than we have to.
My question is, should I do the breakfast on an EMH day, or not?
As far as I recall, Tusker House opens at 8AM anyway... So We'd still be in the park that early, just not able to go to the attractions until 9AM? right?
We've never stayed on property before, so I'm not sure what the general practice is. Can we show up early and go to our 8AM breakfast and then hop on line for the rides before people come in? Or do we have to leave the park after we're done eating?
What we usually do for this is do it on a non-EMH day, plan our ressie for before the park opens and then we finish up right around rope drop, walk on to KS and get a FP to go back. But if you plan it on an AM EMH day, you could squeeze a ride in before breakfast, eat, and then probably do it again. Keep in mind that if you go on an non-EMH day and finish breakfast before the rope drop, you would just wait for the rope drop and then go ride. Does that answer your question?
PS- this is one of our favorite meals on property!
I wouldn't go to breakfast on an EMH morning either. If we plan a breakfast it is on a non EMH morning and finish before park opens. I'd rather be going on the attractions then eatting. And since I don't like to get up that early we don't do very many TS breakfasts. Kona is a must for DD, so we'll sometimes do that, but not every trip, lol!
I would do an early breakfast on a non-EMH day, so you have the advantage of being in the park before everybody else. An 8 am ADR at TH is perfect, then you will be right there ready to ride the safari at rope drop.
I'm not sure about am EMH but pm EMH they ask for your KTTW card before you can enter the lines for the rides. So, while they might not kick you out, you wouldn't be able to ride anything.
I'd do the breakfast at 8.00 on a non-EMH day. You should just about be done in time to get out for parking opening and you'll be near the safari to make a dash there.
I appreciate all of the advice! Looks like Non EMH it is. We'll be missing out on EMH at Epcot that morning, but I bet we'd have skipped that anyway. Who needs early EMH at Epcot when I plan to be there 3 out of 7 days already?
5 Days left until I can book the ADR. I hope we can get something between 8:00 and 8:15!

If I have a room booked for 2 people, can I book ADRs for 8 using the 180+10? Or do all 8 need to have rooms booked?
