As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

In reading your report, it seems we are always a day apart. Have you changed it any to where we're in the same place. With so many days of your trip planned for MK I thought for sure I would run into you there.
No you're not a bad friend at all. It's hard to keep up with new posts on this board. Things are posted so fast every day I know I miss things too.
We have changed things up a bit. I'll post it as soon as my husband and I have agreed on the changes. I know the 27th is our free day except Chef Mickeys that morning and we're going to schedule our professional photo shoot for that day. I hate paying another photographer to do what I do but it's the only way I can get into photos with my family and my husband really wants to do it. Also that day we might go back to Animal Kingdom until lunch, not to sure about that yet. After lunch and our photoshoot we have no plans. We might go play mini golf and use those vouchers and go to DTD for dinner.
We'll work things out. I'm sure our plans will change again once we get down there and see how things work and how Cayden takes to all of the walking.
Moved things around a bit so we could spend sometime with Maria (TheMadonna3) and her son Mikey.

We're going to stop some where for the night in Georgia. Since my husband has those Wyndam Reward points we get to stay another free night.

Check out around 9:00 am or 9:30 am.
Atlanta Zoo (my husband the Nascar nut chose to bypass visiting the Daytona track, a dream of his he's had forever and decided he had rather take our son to the zoo, he's such a wonderful father).
After a day at the zoo we'll take the 2 1/2 hour drive home from Atlanta back to our small town of Whitwell, TN.

My cell number is on my FB page. I am up in the air on whether or not I would leave DHS for lunch and then go back. I thought about taking a rest for lunch and then heading back. I'll definitely be there for the afternoon as Fantasmic! is that evening. There's no way I'm missing that. Maybe we could meet up at DTD and then ride the bus over together. Can I join you for lunch?

I did change up some days so we would be at the same place. My husband is so easy going. He said tell her if they're with us they don't have to ride that bus they can just ride with us if they want to. He doesn't want to ride the buses so we're going to drive from park to park. Cayden is still in a booster seat and we just feel safer with him riding in it rather than standing on a moving bus.
You sure can meet us for lunch at DTD. We're going to head there after check in so Cayden can get an autograph book and a few other things. I had rather do shopping there so we're not buying stuff at the parks and carrying it around all day. If our room isn't ready when we check in hopefully it will be once we're done at DTD. If it is we'll head to CSR drop off our luggage in our room then go to HS. I can just call you when we get to DTD and let you know we're there.
The 25th is the day I really changed around so we could spend some time together. You bet we'll be at Beaches and Cream at the same time. We're going for the kitchen sink and you can help us eat the thing. Before you say no, I'm buying so grab a spoon and no arguements. LOL
After we're done with our photo shoot and mini golf I'll give you call. I told Cayden about going over to AKL and doing things with Mikey. He's so excited, we'll probably never be able to seperate them. When Cayden makes a friend it's forever and he never meets a stranger when it comes to kids.
I'm also buying the photo pass cd so we'll have to grab us a photographer or two in the parks and have our pictures made together. I can send them to you when I get my disc from them. Speaking of discs someone in this house better keep reminding me to pack some or I'll have a rough time burning your photo shoot.
Yep the second trip to Wolfgang Puck was planned. I noticed that's where you would be and it's your last night I thought that would be a good way to say, see ya next time. I'll also have your disc ready by then. After we do the shoot and spend some time at AKL we'll have to head back to our resort before meeting for lunch so I can edit and burn the pictures or I can just bring my laptop and do it there while the boys play.
On the 26th if you have time come over to MK and see Cayden all dressed up like a pirate. His appointment is at 3:00 and we'll be at the park until closing.
We're easy going and are up for pretty much anything. You could never pester us. We love being around friends. I just pray that my husbands back does start acting up. He's doing really good. The spine doctor released him two months ago. He has pain every now and then but nothing like before. I think the pain he has now is from driving that truck. He's so funny, he calls my WDW Passporter guide my bible. LOL
Well I'm going back to putting things in ziplock bags and putting them in suitcases. We dragged out our luggage a few days ago. You should see our guest bedroom. I have clothes folded in piles and stuff everywhere. I still have a few things to buy but not much.

I can't ride with you in the car My wheelchair would be too bulky and too much of a pain in the butt to take apart.
Aww, your DH sounds like quite a guy. Can't wait to meet him.
I am sure that once we put the boys together they'll completely forget about our existence until they run out of money.
If you guys are driving to DTD to have lunch, then I might just stay in DHS and wait for you. Or, we'll head back to AKL and eat there and then meet at DHS. It's not a big deal either way.
As far as the kitchen sink, I had planned on getting a "No Way Jose" for Mikey and I to share because I have been dying for one for 2 years. I have to have it!! Life will not be complete until it is in front of me with all its delicious gooey-ness. However, I am sure my little guy will be happy to eat my portion. So you share with him and I'll keep my "No Way Jose" all to myself You really are very generous. Thank you so much for the invitation to share your dessert. I am sure my spoon will find it's way over for a taste test.
I have a photopass CD too so we definitely have to get pics.
As far as the 26th, my ADR is at 4:30. I'll try and pop over there, but please don't be upset if I don't make it. Just take lots of pics. Since you'll be there until closing and I believe this is my AK day, I can likely just hop over after dinner at Boma so I could see him then.
I still don't know what I'm doing about my arrival day. I saw your post. I have been holding off buying stuff because I still am trying to get the apartment perfect and I am sooo close. Just a few more things to organize and put away and I'll be ready. My goal is to be done with the apartment by May 1. Then I have 3 weeks to play around and get ready for Disney.

I enjoy the planning too. I said to my husband that once this trip is over I'll be bored. He said nope, you have a disney cruise to plan babe. He is wonderful but does have his manly moments. We've been together since 7th grade, got married right out of high school and been together ever since. August 4th we'll be married 15 years. We've been together so long we complete each others sentences and know what the other is thinking.
I thought about your wheelchair when he suggested you ride with us but I thought I would mention it anyway. It was worth a shot though.
Cayden is so funny about his disney money. He has one of those huge water bottles that you see in a doctors office waiting room in his bedroom. He puts any change he finds in that thing. You just can't leave money laying around this house right now. If you turn your head it's gone to his "disney fund" as he calls it. I'm sure his hand will be out when he runs out, then we'll exist again.
I wanted to try a No Way Jose but was out numbered by my guys. Either or both of you are more than welcome to dive into our kitchen sink dessert. It'll make the boys hyper for the day I'm sure.
I would never get upset if you couldn't come over to MK on the 26th. I was just letting you know what day and time we were doing that incase you guys wanted to hop over and see him. I'll take plenty of pictures so you can see.
I know what you mean about getting things in order. We were in the process of remodeling then we decided to just buy a new house. Now the things that were packed away for the remodeling are still packed away. When we get back from disney we'll be preparing to move. Not too far though just across town. I could never take Cayden out of his school. My mom and younger sister are teachers so he loves it there.
I'm no where near ready. I still have everything in my disney folder saved on my laptop that needs to be printed and put into a folder. My husband will get home late Thursday night some time. With truck drivers you never know when they'll come rolling in (my dad is a truck driver too I always said I would never marry one after watching my mom cry everytime he would leave out...oh well .)
