As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!
Best wishes for a wonderful and magical new year!

Re: Colexi\'s Spring Break Adventure - Thread 3 of 3 - Updated 6/3
..............continued from previous post
After the movie ended, it was time to head back for the animation tour. I didn’t know we were going to come out in the Animation courtyard, that was kinda cool! We just left the strollers at One Man’s Dream and moved on. I asked one more time for either VOLM or Playhouse Disney, but both were rejected. Oh well! We got into line for the animation tour, and were soon inside for the presentation. I don’t think we’ve ever done this one either (or at least I don’t remember) so that was another first for us. And even more lucky for us, since it was Mushu, it held Colin’s attention. Since it was our first time seeing it, I can’t comment on the show other than we liked it, but I know people have said it’s gone downhill from years past! After the show, we headed towards the Incredibles meet and greet area (since that was why we were really here) They didn’t’ come out until 10:30, so we had about a 10 minute wait. We got into the queue, and soon they had arrived. First out was Frozone, who went into the corner behind the queue for the Incredibles, which confused me We’d come back for him, and waited for the Incredibles first. They finally came out, and the line started moving Colin was scared, and didn’t really want to pose for the picture. We also took a family picture with the Photopass Card, which I’ll scan in at the end.
Next up was Frozone. Colin wouldn’t go near him (he does look a little intimidating) so it was all Alexa.
The window had already opened up on our RnRC FPs, but the kids wanted to stay and play with the stuff in the animation studio. So I left the kids with Matt, and headed out first. He’d wait for me in the courtyard. I hustled over to RnRC, and was lucky that a few minutes after I got there, they let the FP side of the line thru We were soon in the studio, and watching the preshow! The line on the other side wasn’t too bad either, and it helped that I was a single What a great ride Thankfully I remembered to take off my glasses this time, because the last time I rode it, I spent the entire ride with my hands on my face trying to keep my glasses from falling off
When I got outside, Matt and the kids were there. He went to join the line, and I headed off with the kids to get an ice cream (it was getting hot). We ended up with an Itzakadoodle and a chocolate chip cookie sandwich. We sat at a table in the Sunset Marketplace, and waited for Matt. We were visited by a bird friend.
Of course, then it was potty time, which caused us to miss meeting up with Matt. When we got outside, I saw I had a missed call, and he was already past us. He came back to find us, and we headed off in search of our strollers. We also walked thru the Villians store, which was another first for us. They had some great stuff in there, but I’m not a big villains fan. I also enjoyed the candy store at the end, they were making huge chocolate covered strawberries
We met up with our strollers, and headed off to see if they were giving out FPs for the new stunt show. Along the way, we met up with Jo Jo and Goliath
The CM taking the picture kept telling me that I couldn’t use my “pink” AP Photopass card, he had to give me a new one (due to new technology). That was a crock, since I had used it not more than 5 days earlier here. Oh well. We also passed Daisy and Donald Duck, but they had just cut off the line, and we didn’t want to wait. And the line for pictures with Sorceror Mickey was too long, so we didn’t wait for him either!
Once out into the courtyard, we saw that they were giving away FPs for the stunt show, so we ran over and grabbed some of those. I think the show wasn’t until 1:00, we could enter at 12:15 I believe. As we were walking out of the FP area, we see we had just missed Blood, Sweat, and Shears They’re our favorite act in MGM They were heading back thru the gates. The kids were disappointed, they loved them in December. We got a pretzel and some water, and just sat in the courtyard for a few minutes. I then spotted the “singing in the rain” umbrella, and we played around with that for awhile.
All of a sudden, blaring noise started, and some sort of vehicle came out. Apparently these are the Power Rangers. I had no clue, but Alexa sure knew who it was, and we had to have her picture taken with them all Even Colin got into the act, and now all they want to watch are Power Rangers
After the Power Rangers headed in, Blood, Sweat and Shears came out again They set up shop about halfway down the road (NY Street ), across from Youse Guys Moyschindice
They put on a great show, we were happy to see them
Coming up next........Stunt show, and a little rain must fall
