Forums Closed
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.

So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.

Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.

And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.

We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.

There are other changes as well.

Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.

It's time to move on and move forward.

PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.

But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.

So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.

And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.

That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!

If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Best wishes for a wonderful and magical new year!

Glad to hear he didn't hurt himself! And back to the WDW stuff, I LOVE your plans! Particularly the Sunday morning ones! I can't wait to meet you in person! It is weird to say that because we've talked so much that I feel like we already HAVE met in person!
What a visual of little Meri crashing through the gate! She's too much!

Remember to pack a ziploc bag to save a curl from Andre's haircut. They grow up so fast!

From past experiences the CM will save ALL the hair they cut off. They wrap it in a papertowel and seal it shut with Mickey stickers. They also use Mickey stickers to keep the kiddos distracted. I'm sure Andre will so great!

And now to actually reply
I also have to unpack as soon as we get to the room.
I like the idea of a lazy day before the party. It'll make it easier to get through to Hallowishes. We've eaten at LTT before two parties and also on a non-party night. We really like it there. And of course you have to ride HM at the Halloween party.
Awww, I can't wait to see Andre after his first haircut (and during of course too )
This is the first trip we aren't eating at Ohana for breakfast. It was a tradition that changed this year because we're not doing the dining plan and it's much easier to just roll out of bed and downstairs to CMC.

Yikes!! Andre is going to be a bit different than Josie, huh? Both Tyler and Jason figured out how to get out of the crib. Couple of falls, but all worked out okay. I caught Tyler once just before he hit the floor, and Jason (a little older than Andre) tried to climb out once and got stuck half way over on his belly and when I walked in he said "Thith ithn't good". Go with bedrails on the daybed. It works well there and you'll have even more room in the room then.

Happy birthday, Linny. What a birthday gift Andre decided to give you! Yikes, gray hair?! Hope the night wasn't too crazy. But maybe it will be good to have him used to the bed with rails at home, before going to WDW?

Were you even going to tell me you had a PTR happening on here?!?! I had a gut feeling that you had started it, so I did some snooping, and sure enough there it was! I tell you. Well, I haven't read any of it yet. I just wanted to yell at you first, and then go back to the beginning to read it.

Okay...I'm back again after actaully reading the thing this time. I too need to unpack before I can do anything. It just give me that "aahhh" feeling of being on vacation, so I totally understand. Your plans sound great, and you even get to have two PPer meets in there. Very exciting! Now you can continue since I'm actually onboard for it now. No more trying to be sneaky with me.

I am an unpacker too...it is the first thing I do as soon as the bags come to the room. I think it just gives me that feeling of "well we are here for awhile" feeling. No suitcases to look at, I stuff them in the closet.

Love the plans as well as the relaxing first day, we did that this trip as well as our last trip and we loved it. We were fully rested when it came down to some park fun.

Jasmine was a climber, I took apart her crib when she hit like 18 months, girl was out of her crib every morning running around waking me up. Knew then the crib was not cutting it. Glad he was ok though, I would have done the same thing, my kids fall and hit their head I am waking them up even now like every 15 minutes to make sure they are ok.

That week I bought a cover for the crib to the tune of $175. My Gram (who raised and adopted me) said, "That's nuts! Put her in a toddler bed!" and she took me out then and there and bought my DD a Disney Princess Toddler Bed.

I hear you about this situation. Good luck!
LOL, that's funny....well not really, but.

Royalty you say??? If you are speaking of Sharon I'm bummed, we miss each other by days, like me and you
However, I am VERY happy about meeting Cathy and Mel.
Yeah, Josie wasn't a climber at all.....she never even tried to climb out, I was pregnant with Andre and just figured I make the switch to a big girl bed now before he came. It's going OK. I'll post about that tonight

Going to LTT because of you......so I hold you responsible if it blows
Ohana or 1900 is our ending tradition too, just really whatever resort we are at, so I sooo agree with CMC.
"Thith ithn't good"................Love that kid!!!!

Yeah....thanks kids for making my touch ups every 4 weeks now
I agree, I would love to not have the P&P this year.

Your plans sound great, and you even get to have two PPer meets in there. Very exciting! Now you can continue since I'm actually onboard for it now. No more trying to be sneaky with me.
OK, thanks......I will have another post this evening just for you.

YES....it's that " We are here for awhile" feeling I need. You nailed it
I knew Andre was much different than Josie when it came to exploring and such, but I wasn't expecting this just yet.........oh well, just moving right along I guess

Post Thanks / Like
Dylan only moved out of the crib because Lukas was going to need it.

And yes I hope to meet up with Princess Sharon and I might be able to see Cathy & the girls on our last day too!
