Crazy Threatening Driver in the Early Morning

Yesterday (Sunday morning) I had all my kids in the car with me, and we were driving at around 5:30 a. m. down this long dark road near where we live. About half way down the road a car speeds up behind me. I was doing the speed limit and not driving crazy or anything. They had their high beams on and were tailgating me. (they could have passed me, and I would have pulled over but their high beams were nearly blinding me) Finally we got to the end of the road and were stopped at a light and the car sped around the driver side and threw some liquid out the window onto my windshield. I had to turn and they turned too, but in the lane next to me. They kept stopping and slowing down...so I would stop a little because I figured they were looking for trouble. So, the passengers window came down and he starts yelling "You want it to rain again?" over and over again, maybe 4 times. I was still behind them a little and I was not going to pull up next to them. So, I cracked the window and yelled that I had called the police. Then the driver yelled, "It's a girl!". Then they sped up and turned off the road, and I didn't see them again. I think they thought I was someone else that they had a problem with and decided to mess with me. I never did see a police car, but I kept driving and didn't sit there to wait. Some people are crazy. My kids were upset, and my little guy kept asking why the man asked me if I want it to rain again.

Thanks for letting me vent! It was very upsetting, and I was very angry afterward. I still am a little angry now. Thank goodness I kept my temper while it was happening, because I am mild mannered for the most part but I can lose it big time when something like this happens. I just didn't want them to get more aggressive when I had my children with me.

It's a shame you didnt get the license plate number to pass to the police department. I am so sorry that you had to deal with someone like that! I think people have simply lost the minds and think it is ok to act the fool and do stuff like this. It just really makes me

They were a couple of twenty-something guys. It was weird to see people on that road that early in the morning, but especially weird to see 2 young guys out that early. I can only assume they were on their way back from somewhere after partying or something.

This seems more like they had a falling out w/someone else whos vehicle matched yours. One thing I always tell people is call the police and stay on the line to give us as much information as you can. In a situation like this, my advice would have been to call and stay on the line with the police, so that whatever transpires is recorded. Most agencies record 9-1-1 calls and the regular lines. Getting as much information is always helpful, granted you can obtain it without endangering yourself or your passengers.
