Wait!!! Wasn't this supposed to be a weekend trip? TR COMPLETE 11/2 - Page 7 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I love all the latest decisions....I know Angel will love her basket, Jaz will enjoy her flight and both girls will adore the fruit and chocolate! This trip is filled with so much celebratory magic...it is going to be awesome.
I definitely vote for a nice sit down meal before your flight and Tutto sounds lime a great possibility.
Hard to believe the countdown is really ON!

Oooh look! I made it into someone else's trip report! We LOVE Tutto Italia!
Your lunches always sound just so delicious, and I went onto disney dining the other night and was able to get us a 2 pm lunch on our last day I still have 50's PT booked for noon, I know my sister will end up here for lunch but I am happy knowing that we have something booked for me and the girls at Epcot as I really feel this is where we are going to end up.

I know, I can't believe we are a little over three weeks away. I did go and book us lunch at Tutto Italia for the last day...now if the girls decide they really want to spend the day with my sister then we will head over to 50s with them, but I have a feeling that Epcot will probably win out.
So as for Angel's surprise, ended up going with a basket from Betsy. I also decided to have her deliver it at the beginning of the trip instead of on her brithday as I got her a new pin lanyard and she lost her Epcot WS Passport from a trip a few years ago and she is so upset so she wanted to do another one for her memory box, figuring giving it to her at the beginning of the trip would let her utilize her gifts
On the dining front...I did add on lunch at Tutto Italia (all due to Heather, her lunches just sound so good) I thought it would be the perfect way to end the trip. I still have our noon ADR at 50's as my sister will definitely still be going, and there is always the possibility that my girls will want to spend the day with my sister...but I have a feeling that Epcot will end up being their final trip destination so at least we have a good send-off lunch.
Angel started gymnastic camp yesterday...she came home exhausted, they do quite a workout. Poor kid was so sore, but she loved it so at least she left the house this morning with a smile on her face, poor Jasmine however needs to take a two week math review since she failed the math placement test (math is like her worst subject in life) so she left home with a frown...and counting down the days to Disney which by the way is 22 today....tomorrow is officially three weeks until DISNEY!!!
I'm so loving all the goodie surprises you have set up for the girls. Everything sounds like it is going along great. I'm sure you must be busting at the seams though. I really am so excited for all of you.
Not to much longer now.
As for Jasmine and her math......I was, am, the same way. Always had a hard time with it. Chin up. It all gets better.
OH Math review sounds like torture to me, but the girls are going to have a great time at Disney! I'm so glad you booked Tutto--we love it so much. I highly advise sharing the antipasto platter and the lasagna!

Love the surprises!! I like to have at least a little something as a surprise for the boys even if they know about the trip.
UGH..math review in the summer!! At least she's got Disney to look forward to. And...it is soooo close!!!

Love the basket contents and know Angel will be thrilled to put all the contents to good use.
Counting down along with ya...
Danielle
I ave to say I am pretty proud of Jaz, she really has not complained too much about the class, she is acutally picking some stuff up and made some friends, she is also getting used to the school layout...now the commute, that is her only complaint as the class lets out right at rush hour so she has not been a happy camper between the heat and the crowds on the train...I told her she will love the crowds in the winter, the body heat will take off the chill of the winter cold...lol

I am busting at the seams, I so want to tell her but know that if I have waited this long then another two weeks ain't nothing She has been sick this week, poor kid got the summer virus (glad that she is getting it out of the way now), high fever, upset stomach...she has missed camp so it's been killing me not to cheer her up, but the wait will be worth it.

Math review sounds like torture to me as well...I actually feel so bad for her going through this espeically in the summer, but hopefully she will pass the palcement test next week and never have to do this again.

I am sure you will come up with some gret little surprises before the trip for the boys, I am having so much fun with this, not sure how many more times I can get away with a total surprise as she is just so into everything. She has been home sick, so the other day she calls and says "mom, I went onto the passporter boards and found the photo of the day for you"...just glad she has not found my PTR

I don't like being surprised either...but I do sure enjoy giving them as well
So tonight I came home from work to find Angel acting out being "surprised". So she has devised a plan that when we are ready to leave in "October" she wants me to give her a bag with a letter saying guess where we are going, and film her being surprised as she wants to send the video in to Disney. Guess since she has been sick she has also been spending time watching Disney surprise videos on You Tube...if she only knew she is really in for a surprise
So we are at 15 days (well we have been for the past 20 minutes) and I am so ready, still worried abit about packing and sneaking everything into the bags but Jasmine has told me not to worry she has it covered....so hopefully everything will go off without a hitch. So in 5 days I can check-in online for our first reservation...(which I have never done but think I will try it out), but I think I will wait until I can check-in for both reservations and do them both at once.
I have made no changes....you should all be very proud of me, but I did notice that they have changed the hours for the first few days with later hours at the MK and we have a Fantasmic show everynight as well so I am hoping that it will help with the crowds as we have missed it for the past two years, almost getting to see it last year but then having it cancelled for technical difficulties.
Two more days of my boss, he is taking off Friday and I am leaing early Thursday for a doctors appointment and he is traveling on the west coast all next week...so it will give me time to take the penciled in, scribbled in, almost torn in half spreadsheet that I have been working with for the past 6 months and put it all together nicely in the Excel spreadsheet. By the time I see him again I will be at the 4 day countdown
My other boss will probably be around next week, but he is the closet Disney freak so he already knows how I get before a trip so he will be prepared for me to be in Disney mode all week long.
