As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Great TR so far, can't wait to read the rest!! I love hearing about specifics with little ones, since I'm going in a few weeks with a 4yr old & a 17 month old. Keep it coming!!
We started our day in a rush. We had to pick up our Tickets to Spirit of Aloha and be on the bus at 7am. So We sent the Dad's to the desk while the mom's and kids waited for the bus. The bus came while the Dad's were still in the lobby so we took it knowing they could catch the next one. We called them when we got to MK so we could figure out when to check in. They were just pulling into the parking area.
ADR were at Crystal Palace. The kids love this place. Our server, Mike, We only saw him when he took our drink orders and brought the bill, but he was always around because the table was cleared and drinks magically refilled without us noticing him. Maybe he is one of the ghost from the Haunted Mansion. LOL. If you have never eaten here, go straight for "pooh's corner" and get the puffed french toast. Fried dough for breakfast, Yum. Devyn was being a slow eater because he was busy playing with Tigger (who kept coming back to play) So Mike brought us a small box for his plate, "so he can eat it in the stroller" as Mike said. 4ts credits $70.25+tip
After Breakfast we headed to Tommorowland. First up..... Monster's Laugh floor. No line? Last year Becky was on T.V. this year it was Devyn's turn. After that I took Crysta on Stitch's great Escape. Rider tip. Sit up really tall when they lower the shoulder things so they don't hurt when stitch gets free. Next was Devyn's ride, Buzz light year. He smiled from ear to ear the whole ride. Then when you get off the ride right outside was the man himself. Devyn was set for the day.
A quick walk to fast pass space mountain and then we were at the speedway. Hey our first line. Yup first real line was for the speed way. We did baby swap because some kids didn't want to go but then I never went on.
After that we grabbed so snacks from Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies. We got 2 caramel Sundaes, 1 strawberry smoothie,2 cappuccino smoothies, and 1 orange pineapple. 6 snacks ($20.95)
Next we headed over to Toontown Fair. It was our first time. I don't even remember it as a kid. We went in the houses and played for a long time at Donald boat. It was HOT. and the water was great but a lot of the spouts were not working so there was like 30 kids around a tiny bubbler.
Off to Liberty Tree Tavern. Becky Decided this was going to be her un-b-day meal. She nicely asked the host if she could have her b-day cupcake. He told her to ask the server and came back with a baggie full so Micky Confetti. That make her day because she had been collecting them from the side walks. ewww. The food here was good, not my fave, but still yummy. Dessert was great. Apps. DH - fried cheese / Me - ? Main - DH - Angus Chuck Burger (yummy cooked just right) Me - Pot roast ( yummy but to heavy for how hot I was) Becky - salad/ sliced turkey w/ mash / cupcake Crysta - Chicken soup/ meaty macaroni, fruit. Dessert - DH - Three chocolate Brownie Me Gooey Toffee cake. Both yum can't decide which was better but still will try the others next time. 2A,2C,1T = $83.35 + tip.
After Lunch we caught the parade just outside. Great timing if I do say so myself. There was two, the voluntEAR one and the regular one. After the everyone decided they wanted to go on Haunted Mansion, Becky however had a different plan and I was going to make sure she got to do it. Becky and I went behind the Christmas store and got in line for Princess and the frog. We were 6th inline but they were not out yet. We waited in line for 30min for them, I would have waited even longer since this was her one "must do" she rarely asks for things and is a go with the flow type so I was going to make it happen.
Becky meets Prince Naveen - He is a playful one. He asked her to stand between them, then said that wasn't the right spot she should stand to his left, she did as she was told was not happy because now she was far away from Tainan, HE said that wasn't right she should stand behind him and pointed to a rock with his foot. Tainan told him to stop picking on her and sign her book. She got a good amount of time with them, totally worth the time in line.
The crew meet up with us as we were finishing up. yup they got there on the ride and back before we were done. We ran yes ran to space mountain and I stayed with the kids as the newbies went on. We were running behind we had tickets to Spirit @5:15. So if any of you were there that day you would have seen a crazy lady put a dress over her shirt and shorts and then magically remove them without any skin exposing. I then changed Becky, Hide her with strollers. When the crew got off the ride we tossed all stroller kids in and ran to the boat launch. Once there and waiting for the boat I had Crysta put her dress on, she too knows how to do changing magic.
The boat finally came and we only missed the big line. I love this show and the food is good too. I never eat much meat but I do eat almost a whole pineapple, the kids love the rice, chicken and bread. This time I decided to try the dessert without the stuff that covers the tray. it is a chocolate mousse, the sauce is mango, I don't like mango. It's still not high on my dessert list but that's not why we go anyway. We ask to be seated in the back corners, being there makes it so the kids can dance and not be in the way. $165 tip included. 8 meal credits.
We took the monorail back to MK but it was grad night so we couldn't stay. so we went home and swam, the kids were upset... not.

Oooh! I love the pic of the kids on the beach at Poly. Adorable.
Sounded like a great day, start to finish. CP in on my list of ones to do that we haven't done yet.
Great day at MK! We still haven't tried breakfast at CP, but it does sound ! Stefanie has on her must do list to meet Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen. I'm so excited as everyone seems to have had wonderful interaction with them. Love all the pictures!
Thanks everyone. As you can see (read) We didn't get a lot of MK done but it will be there next time (well most of it, with some new stuff - fingers crossed).
We got lucky and never felt rushed when we were getting autographs but the lines were never huge.
