As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Villains: Coach was very upset with what Sandra said about him being lazy. That night after tribal council he was ready to go home. Tyson talked with him and as Coach broke down and cried Tyson told him how to not get on others nerves: 1) Don't tell any more stories no one believes him 2) Do your Tai Chi else were in privet.
The next day Tyson tells everyone that Coach wanted to leave and Rob talks to coach telling him he is not on the outs and to trust him.
Heroes: They read the tree mail and get to pick 2 things out of a Sears catalog.
Reward Challenge: Villains: Tools and Tarp Heroes: Fishing gear and cooking stuff
2 on 2 Run and slide down a giant slip n slide grab a numbered ball and toss it into your basket.
Tom VS Coach: Coach wins
Cirie VS Russell: Russell wins
Candice VS Courtney: Candice wins
Amanda VS Jerri: Jerri wins
James VS Sandra: James wins
Rupert VS Danielle: Rupert wins
Colby VS Tyson: Tyson wins
Villains win the tools and tarp.
Villains: They are looking at all the tools and Russell pulls out a knife with something in it. He pulls out the knife and a note comes out with it. Rob takes the note and reads it. It is a clue were a hidden immunity idol is. They talk it over and decided no one looks for it or you are marked. Russell decides to take a walk. Rob asks Sandra to see what he is up too. She sees him digging, he stops and looks to see if someone is watching she bends down then walks away calling him a fool.
Heroes: They go to make coffee and find a note in the jar, They read it and the hunt is on to find it. Tom find the place and as everyone is joining him he finds it, try's to sneak it into his sock but Amanda see him doing this and tells Cirie. Tom tells Colby he found it and that he will use it to get them into the alliance.
Immunity Challenge: 1 person is strapped in a ball. 2 are blind folded and have to navigate the ball throw a course while the person in side is guiding them then they Set the ball so the person in side can guide 4 blind fold members at a maze table to move a ball to a hole. Yes this is the only challenge never completed. The one Russell pasted out at.
Villains: In the Ball Rob, Pushing: Coach and Tyson, Table: Parvati, Russell, Danalle, and Jerri
Heroes: In the ball: Tom, Pushing: Rupert and James, Table: Colby, Candice, JT, and Amanda
Villains win
Heroes: Cirie says Colby or tom must go, she and Candice talk they decide (or Cirie does) that they will vote 3-3 so that if Tom uses the idol then Colby goes and if not a tie is on the they vote Tom out.
Tom Talks with Amanda and JT saying he doesn't want the idol and would give it to one of them if they vote with him, Candice is the target. Amanda wants to do this but then goes and tells Cirie who talks her out of it. JT tells Tom and Colby. Tom says Cirie should go and if JT would flip they could get her out by him using the idol. JT has to think about it. JT says he knows how everyone is voting but himself.
Tribal: Jeff asks about how they base their vote and Rupert admits he is voting to keep promises. Jeff also asks if they feel safe. the only who admits they do is JT.
They vote, Jeff tallies them up and goes to read them. Tom stands up and says he wants to use the idol. Jeff gives the rules and says Yes this is the Idol and that Tom is safe from any votes. Jeff reads them the first 3 are all for Tom. The next 2 are for Colby. With Cirie looking real smug Jeff reads the next name that is Cirie. She gets uncomfortable and more worried when her name is read a second time and then Jeff says the next Survivor Vote out is........ Cirie!!!! WOOO HOOOO The first blind side this season!!!!!! JT was looking worried, Colby and Tom Happy and everyone else was in shock.
Bye Bye Cirie.
So next week Russell continues his search for the idol since he thinks he will rule with it, Candice now wants to work with Tom since she knows she might be next to go and Medics are called out at a challenge.
So till then Keep digging for your idols my surviving peeps.

Awesome strategy Tom! Russell lives another week. The Villians are full of baloney, because if Rob/Coach/Sandra finds it, they wouldn't vote against each other! Cirie was way too full of herself this go-round. That's what brought her down.
Coach. Man, one person calls you out and you crumble. Very interesting breakdown. I was very interested in how Tyson handled it, too. I thought he'd keep the conversation to himself....but no, he blabs it to the rest of the group. Which I guess was a good thing...as Rob (the guy that Coach wants respect from) came and bucked up his morale.
Cirie was a great choice to go and she knew it. I think if she'd just let things go, she'd still be in the game in good position. She WAS a master at manipulation.
It's so funny how I find myself routing for the Heroes and I don't even know why....maybe because they are the underdogs right now? After both challenges...that were THAT close, I was deflated for them.
Too funny how both teams found the Immunity Idol clues as a group. I'm sure that's not how the producers had imagined it happening. Very interesting the way the groups handled it.
I was so happy for Tom and Colby that they found a way to stick it out longer. Awesome working on strategy. I am all TOM right now.
Great strategy on the Heroes side! I like Cirie, but she was waaaaaay to crafty, and thankfully they saw that.
Russell may be in trouble if he keeps openly searching for that idol and if he thinks he is fooling anyone by saying he isn't looking, he is not as smart as I gave him credit!
I was glad to see Cirie go home. I did not like her during her season and I don't like her now. She thought she could control the game and not have any ramifications. I love the blindsides.
I liked Cirie in the past, but this season she was bothering me a little. I was so thrilled with the blindside. Can't wait till next week to see the ramifications for JT and the new group dynamic.
I liked Cirie fine, but I was so glad to see that blind side! I really didn't think he was gonna go through with it. I can't wait to see how camp responds. On the other side, I really think the next time they loose a challenge, Russell is gonna be gone.....
Whoa, Probst was tough on Rupert tonight. Well, my Survivor is out. I think it was a smart move. Cirie really plays mind games well.
Yeah, Cirie was the downfall for that team. I mean instead of sliding like everyone else on the team for the challenge she kept getting up and down and it took her forever. I like her but the Heroes need to win!!!!!!!!!!!!
