As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!
Best wishes for a wonderful and magical new year!

The three French Canadian got the Mouse !!!
Adventurers: Chantal, Lynn and Rachel
Resort: Coronado Spring Resort
The trip begin on Thursday August 22:
Departure time was set for four o'clock in the morning and we were ready to go. Only one problem the electric cooler didn't want to work in the car. We wait to see what was the problem when the sun was up. We left home and I fall asleep 20 minutes after and I woke up in Ontario. I can believe time fly when you sleep .
Fitsr stop at Tim & Horton for toast and coffee. Line decided to look at the cooler and she win now it's working. We put some gas in the van it was so cheaper than in my town a real bargan. 8:30am first sign we saw the Thousand Island. We know we are almost at the border . At 9:08 they ask some question and we pass the border YEAH!!! the trip begin.
We have to look at the speed limits because he change from kilometer at miles. Now we were using the cruise to be sure to not get a ticket for speed like Tikiburd and the " Food police "when they were in Orlando.
We pass the first night at Carlisle at a Sleep Inn and beside a Cracker Barrel. So after seing people talking about this place we ate there for Dinner. We really enjoy the place and I have to say the Baked Potatoes are great.
Friday August 23: We leave the hotel at 6:30 and we take a break at 8:45am. We stop two times to put gas in the van and it was so cheap for us, I speak of the price they cost versus our price. We stop around 6:30pm a long day but we want the last day shorter before we saw the Mouse
Saturday August 24: We leave the Comfort Inn at 6:30am and I took a coffee with me in the van. At noon we make a stop at the " Welcome Center " of Florida to lunch and walk a bit. Next stop our hotel before Sunday the Day we supposed to meet the Mouse. We sleep early because we want to check-in early at the Coronado Spring Resort to take advantage of our pass of lengt of stay.
Just want to tell we took the I-81 and I-75 to our way down to the World and the I-95 for our fast return
Chantal
sorry if I did it to long

Re: The three French Canadian got the Mouse !!!
Sunday August 25: This is the big day!!!!!
We leave the hotel to go to the Coronado Spring Resorts. We arrived at 8:30am at the registration desk and we are upgrade to aquiet pool view instead a parking view. Yeah!!! I thank Junior the CM and sister look at me and say why. I said in French I told you later.(I know it's very impolite to speak an other language when the other person don't speak) The room was ready at this hour and we are so surprised. After our registration we did the reservation for Cirque du Soleil September First at 6:00pm and when the CM wait for the tickets the machine stuck and he told us it was our fault. We laugh together and he give us a paper to take our ticket at the door the day of our representation. He explain after how works the wishes in our package and we were leaving the lobby to Casitas 2.
We unpack our luggages and we bought our mugs at La Tienda the small market for foodand I took a refill of coffee and on our way to the room we decided to make a tour at Disney Downtown for our first day. We don't have to forget our PS at 5:00pm with Chef Mickey.
I tried three times to speak with Joanne our Cruella but each time I got the voice mail Sniff Sniff . I let her a message and I try tomorrow.
Our meet with Chef Mickey was great we have a blast with the characters particularly Dale when he decided to take out everything of my bag and the fun was just beginning when the Minnie's Party start we have a real fun at this Dinner. I ask Mickey to sign a postcard with Princess on it for " ourPrincess Lauren" Ihave promise her this card from the Mouse himself. After I ask Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Goofy and Donald to sign my autogragh book and it was just the beginning of our trip. We use our for this meal and that was a great buffet
We took a look at the gift shop and begin to try several hats and sister laugh at me. After we walked from the Contemporary to the bus at MK for our resorts. I bought some postcards and a cheshire magnet for a friend who adore him. I forget to tell at DD I bought three plush Minnie, Eeyore and Tigger in safari clothing. We was not suppose to buy anything but how can you get to DD and not buy one thing, impossible for me except for Line and Rachel. The problem if it is a problem I was on vacation with two accountant they count in her head and me the money get out of my purse they control themselves more than me.
Now it's time for some rest to be ready to attack MK tomorrow and we have a Dinner at GF 1900 Park Fare with Winnie and friends, best pal of sister.
Joanne just call me and we are supposed to meet Thursday for Nate's birthday at AC.

Welcome back Chantal . You're doing great! Aren't the Thousand Islands just gorgeous?!
Which "safari" Eeyore did you get? The smaller version where he is sitting up with his head cocked to the left with a pith helmet on and backpack and tent in back or the larger one with the same equipment but he's "laying out" so to speak?
Can't wait to read more of your trip!

Re: The three French Canadian got the Mouse !!!
Monday August 26: We get up at 6:30am and we were ready to catch the Character Caravan. I have my autograph book, fat pen, I'm ready to meet them at Bus Stop 1. We met Timon, Goofy, Rafiki and the orange gorilla don't I forget the name and he can't signed the book just pictures. After that we took the bus for MK but it was hot and humid and ask ourselves if we were able to do all day long at MK. We will see later!
Finally we arrived and passed the security controlwithout problems. When MK open ten minutes later we go directly to Frontierland and did BTMR. Line didn't apreciate it and told me if the next ride is the same of this one I don't go . After we did PotC, Small World and during the ride I tought at some peoples on the board who apreciate the ride too. Character Festival at Fantasyland was just near Winnie the Pooh and the line or Fastpass are too long for us we decided to add some signatures and pictures in our book.
We came back in front of the Castle and Cinderella Surprise Party just beganso we found a good place and have a ball to see this performance. That was really good and the music....we really enjoy it.
After Cinderella it was noon and we decided to go back to the resort because for us it was a big difference and change in temperature. When we came at the resort we have rain. We go to Pepper Market for a refill and rest in our room and prepair for the mini-meet with WDWLOVERS aka Denise. I was at the door to left the room when the phone rang. It was the ladie who took care of our cats. She told us Felix refuse to take the medication for the tyroidic problem, we told her to give up the medication and calling the vet. this way she knew and can help her. I hang up and look at my watch and it was 4:00pm and my meet with Denise was at 4:15pm at MK . I feel so sorry to missed our meet but hope she understand why we don't show up at time.
We leave the room at 4:16pm for our Character Dinner at the Gran Floridian with Winnie and friends at 5:45pm. We had a real blast in reference to Tigger was the bad guy this night, he play with my new hat each time he saw me. Other great pictures and signatures are added to our book as you see I love meeting Characters. We leave the GF at 7:00pm after looking at the place and the shop and get the bus at MK and be back at the resort around 8:00pm time for a refill with this heat and mailed some postcard. I went to Panchito the gift shop and decided to buy a lanyard and some PINS .
Now we rest and prepared ourselves for Cape May Cafe Character Breakfast at 8:30am.
I forget to tell you I have 19 autograph in 2 days and 4 films, can wait to see how much we have at the end of the trip.
Tomorrow Cape May Cafe and Epcot World Showcase
I have to tell you I did the TR by myself sorry if the tense of the verbs are wrong
