Our Atlantic City Motley Crue night AMAZING TIME - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Our Atlantic City Motley Crue night AMAZING TIME
Starring Me- Janice 43
and Peggy- (my barbie twin) well she dont like telling her age so I wont
Resort - Trump Marina
Dates- 3.6.9-3.7.9
As most or some of you know, I am a huge motley crue fan, and have over 40 shows under my belt...so this concert, we took the day off work, and booked a room in AC FOR 186. as Borgata was 390 probably because of the show.
We had purchased our tickets the day went on sale.
Finally, the morning of 3.6 I got up, did my workout, washed my hair, packed my one bag, with of course 5 different outfits, choosing an outfit for Crue is most important!
I met Peggy at the train station around 1pm and we headed to AC
we got lunch on the way down and once we arrived this is when the luck began!
We go to check in, the woman at the checkin desk, informs us, We will be upgrading to a SUITE, as the rooms are booked, its a king sized bed, will that be OK? UHHH yeah, dont have to ask us twice!
we had the 22nd floor, room 2219
here is the spectacular view
check out this bathroom:
it was amazing!! look above the mirror
So we finally decided on our outfits, after about 2 or 3 changes
I just put my jeans on
with my misfits corset and peggy threw on her jeans with her hot pink corset.
We hop a cab to the borgata, find the room they are playing in, I go grab some beer. There were 4 bands opening for them so went to the bathroom and we always play bathroom models... we took LOTS of these, i wont bore you with all of them
So finally its time for Crue to come on, we were pretty much close to stage, since it was standing only, probably about 5 people back...well it was, you guessed it, BEER THIRTY again.... we were standing next to these 2 tall guys, and I told him give me some $$ I will go get us all a beer, well here comes more good luck
he gives me a 100 bill!! yes ... so I go off to the back of the room to get some beers, the line was pretty long so it took a while, I didnt mind, after all I had seen them countless times.. as I am coming back, peggy comes looking for me since I was gone for about 3 or 4 songs...I finally hand the guy his 2 beers with his change of 76 dollars, he INSISTED I KEEP IT WHAAATTT,oh no, I cannot, thats ALOT OF CHANGE!! I kept telling him no no no, I cannot do that, he WOULD NOT let me return it, and believe me I tried!! how sweet!! so he helped us get up closer to the stage, and took a few shots for me aswell.
I got a few shots of Tommy I didnt upload those to photobucket
So after the show ended, Peggy and I went to get some food and of course while waiting in line, had more pics taken
we are camera uhh nuts would be a good word
self portrait time
ok enough, so we finally got seated, ordered food, etc.. after we paid the bill thanks to my big 76 TIP for getting beer, we decided to put 10 each in the slot machines.. no we didnt win, but its ok.
Then we were just walking along, and met the guy singer from one of the opening bands, did not take a picture, we were just chatting, and 2 girls came up to us and started talking with us, and informs us VINCE NEIL is over at the level one bar, and he was rude, and wouldnt take pics or talk to them... hmmm well we were up for that challenge!! He certainly wouldnt be that way towards me and Peggy, we said BYE, and made a beeline for the bar, we saw him and 2 girls, one being his wife, sitting in the corner, we plopped down at the bar, I ordered a beer. Heres where the fun begins... we were just talking and well Vince kept looking over at us the entire time, we did not want to be rude and interrupt him so we just sat and and had fun, so the 2 girls finally go to the bathroom, vince then raised his glass to us. after the 2 ladies returned, not long after that, he got up, CAME UP TO US! AND started talking with, he kissed us hello too! he said he would take photos with us, but was going to the bathroom, well he musta went super quick, as I was putting on more lip gloss, he came up right behind me so we then had this girl about 4 barstools away from us, she took this pic
then I asked if we can do one more, so we did a self portrait type but somehow peg got cut out but I still love this pic
He asked where we lived and stuff, so after chatting with him about 10 mins he went back to his table. and he did kiss us again goodbye, He is SOOO nice, I guess he just didnt like those 2 other girls. oh well lol
So his party got up to leave,
and his wife was super nice to us, said goodnight girls have a great night and gave us a big smile!
the perfect end to the perfect night!
after that we said we can now go home. We got a cab and headed back to our suite!
now is it july 31st yet?? We are seeing them again!

Sounds like a blast! I love Motley Crue, only not tonight. They are in my town tonight, chocolate town usa. The problem is I'm not going to the show, I'm working on the ambulance. I get to transport all the concert goers who've had a little too much fun.
