Just wondering what everyone gives out for Halloween? Anything unique?

We haven't given candy the last few years, but there favorite is chocalate crunches, or any small candy bar.

Usually either fruit or treat sized chocolate bars.

We sometimes give out baggies with some candy, pocket games, and pencils in them.

Last year we got some electronic hand-held games for next to nothing and handed those out with the candy.

We have a secret password that we give to the neighborhood kids. If they use the password when they come to the door during trick or treat hours, they get a special baggie filled with extra treats. We also give out Halloween plastic cups with goodies at Roo's pre-school. Little things like Halloween bubbles, and a light stick, stickers and candy. Nothing too major, but a little extra special fun!

For the youngest DD I send in to school ,treat bags with candy and little toys, cookies, etc... That type of thing.
For Trick or Treating I pass out whatever is on sale. We get quite a few kids majority of ones we don't know from other subs .

I'm not sure what I will give out this year. We get SO MANY kids from
other subs that it makes it tough and expensive to pass out candy. Also the
kids are getting older and older (I'm talking 16 and up) that it just makes
me not want to pass any candy out.

This will be the first year I haven't taken the boys into town on Halloween night, so it will also be the first year of me giving out candy. So far I bought a $8 bag of Milky Way, Twix, Snickers and M&M's combo. I will buy a few smaller bags along the way. I locked it away in a closet so it's not tempting

We don't really have neighbors, so no trick-or-treaters. However, we have always gone to my grandma's house and given out candy there (she lives in a neighborhood). We just do candy - mini chocolate bars, packs of M&Ms, suckers, bubblegum, etc. Her next-door-neighbor used to always give out special goodie bags for a few select kids, and I used to look forward to them every year!

We don't get a lot of kids so we usually give out full-sized chocolate bars that I stockpile when they go on sale in late September. However this year we stopped at the Jelly Belly factory in Wisconsin on our way home on our road trip and we picked up some treat sized packs of Jelly Bellies. 80 packs for $8. DD says we're going to get some repeater Trick or Treaters.

we live on a buzy street, I only get about 10 kids max. In the past, I have given quarters, cold soda, candy, pop corn balls, pretzels. I haven't yet decided what to do this year.............

We get hundreds of kids (literally) so we usually have a variety of things. Plus my MOMS Club does Trunk or Treating (we park out cars in a big circle in a community lot, decorate our trunks and the kids go from car to car) so I will need treats for that as well. I usually do temporary tattoos or other treats for that since many kids have food allergies.

Good old fashioned candy and chocolate bars loaded with sugar!!!! I think I've got a bag mix of Milky Ways, Twix bars, Skittles, Starburst, etc...

We trick-or-treat in my dad's neighborhood, so we contribute to the stuff that he hands out so as not to mooch off his neighbors. My dad hands out peanut-laden candy of all kinds because, well, I guess he thinks kids with food allergies should stay home. I bring non-allergen-type goodies for kids to choose as an alternative. Jones Soda mini-cans (Candy Corn Flavor), mini-Play-Doh cups, pencils, temp tattoos, and glow bracelets (15 for $1 at Michael's!!!). DJ (dressed as Michael Phelps this year) will be handing out little gold medals to other kids we pass in the neighborhood as we trick-or-treat because we have extras that we don't need for his costume.
