Kissing Divers, Rain, Black Eyes and Dreams TR - Page 3 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

We start off waking up around 8:30 and get ready to go grab something to eat at Pop-the all american breakfast-sausage, eggs, bacon, biscuit, potatoes and choc milk oh and a choc. croissant--this is shared by 4 people not just me eating but trust me I would have loved to eat the whole thing.
The plan today is to go to Epcot because we have lunch reservations and then head to the Magic Kingdom for the rest of the day. I really didn't plan our reservations very well, we were jumping from park to park so next time I will plan a bit better. But we love Epcot anyway so we head for our home away from home!
So onto the bus-we were pretty lucky our whole trip and got seats each time except one time back to the hotel. Notice Hayden's face and shirt--it was hopeless. in less than one hour he was filthy dirty for the rest of the day. Chock it up to choc. milk and being little.
Off to Spaceship Earth-our favorite-and then over to The Land to watch Timon and Pummba movie but my tummy is already hungry!!! I kept asking Rusty if it was time yet so later that day I bought a watch on a lanyard so I woud stop getting that look from him!
It's time to eat at the Garden Grill, flank steak, mashed potatoes, catfish, turkey-yum
We had eaten there before when Harrison was 1 and he was fine with the characters but we weren't so sure about Hayden....
Dale signing his name on Harrison's menu
Goodbye Dale we love you!
We love you too Chip
and we were right..he was fine with them across the table but close up..he would panic for a way out of his highchair. But here is Hayden's favorite--MICKEY!
Pluto!!!
So after dessert, we paid our check. We told our waitress we would pay for Harrison seperate since he is two and she got kinda mad at us and said she didn't know he was two or she wouldn't have brought out the food for him. But we explained that was fine that we would pay anyway and she stormed off for about 5 min and then only charged us the kids plate. So I don't know what happened but he was marked on the slip as two. The only thing I could think of is that maybe she didn't think he was two, a lot of people think he is 4 or 5 but no even now he is still 2 well until next week. Oh well. Then the cutest thing happened....
This was filled with a pudding I was better than I thought it was going to be but I think it would have been better warm--it was ice cold.
Worm anyone?
Chip sees we are leaving and grabs Harrison's hand and walks him through the resturant and out to the front. It was so sweet! All these little kids where yelling Chip's name but he had Harrison. It was a magical moment for me!
What a wonderful meal..I'm stuffed but ready to go to Magic Kingdom. Off to the monorail.....
Sounds like you are having a wonderful time so far. I love the pictures. Your boys are so cute. And how sweet of Dale to walk your DS out (or was it Chip?) Can't wait to hear about the MK.
Great morning!
Your little boy does look older than two (in the pics anyways). My second youngest looks a lot older than his age to (he's as big as his sis who's two years older!) Still, the waitress should not have acted ugly about it.
Hurry back with more!

I thought so too since we were going to pay for him anyway it really wasn't a big deal to us what she charged us. Oh well!

The only reason I knew it was Chip was because Dale has a red nose in the pics and was writing his name on Harrison's menu. Chip has a black nose. Good thing I took a pic otherwise I couldn't tell the difference.

To the magic kingdom we go... out the Epcot turnstiles and up the ramp to the monorail. I looked over the left and saw the Sheriff that is posted there. I just think that is so sad but I also saw he gets to wear shorts and a short sleeve shirt..hum sounds kinda a nice job. Anyway, there were a few people waiting for the monorail but not a whole lot. I was speedwalking towards the CM to see if it was possible to sit up front. You don't understand how long we have been trying to do that. We tried a couple of time and it was always full or someone had asked already. So we ask and the CM is suprised and says "Sure, your the first ones to ask today!" Yeeeeeepppeee. Harrison just doesn't understand how exciting that is. Here comes the black monorail and we meet the driver (sorry forgot your name but a very nice guy) and off we went. The only thing was I guess because his cab is fairly cool it fogged up the window so we didn't have a perfect view but I'm not complaining. The driver was so sweet and gave Harrison a drivers license and a trading card for each of the kids. We passed another monorail and I said "Oh look kids-a red monorail or is it pink and the driver looks at me and says "It's coral." I laughed because he said it like I was so stupid for not knowing it was coral but it struck me funny and then I said "Isn't there someone named Coral?" because of course my brain doesn't work a hill of beans and Rusty is like "Huh, what oh I don't know" and the driver says "Yes, Nemo's mom." Duh I knew that--this driver knows his stuff!!! He was a quiet person but so are we well so is Rusty and it was so cute that he and Hayden were playing peekaboo. Hayden loved him. By this time our ride is getting over and my brain once again failed me and the driver reminded us we have to get a ride to the MK by another monorail or ferry but the other monorail was down so off to the ferry.
Heading to the monorail
I love the fountain but miss the glass wings that use to live on the top-anyone else remember those--raise your hands
The boys full and rare'n to go--where are those Pirates?
The sheriff--
Harrison hanging out--little does he know where we get to ride
Here it comes
Please ignore my hair--ugh
The boys enjoying the ride
Hayden playing with the driver and Rusty putting on Hayden's shoe for the 1 millionth time (ug those shoes but their so cute-Nemo that light up
Almost to the station
To the ferryboat mates...
We had to fold the double stroller which also meant taking off this visors that are extensions to the stroller--work great but a pain and to take off two bags and souviners etc. It was a lot of work and I think daddy didn't realize how hard it would be. But I am here to have fun darn it!!!
To the castle and step on it!!!
We are here!!!! After a quick wipe off of Rusty's glasses and my camera lens, put on the visors and get or bags open and inspected we are off to see pirates.
Main Street!! Notice it still looks summery by the end of the week they had all the fall decorations out!!
We noticed this CM's dedication to good photos--ouch!
Next........Adventureland Yo ho yo ho a pirates.. (is the song stuck in your head?)
I love the fountain but miss the glass wings that use to live on the top-anyone else remember those--raise your hands
I do, I do. And until you mentioned it, I couldn't remember what was suppose to be there. I knew it was something, but now I can see it in my mind - I just couldn't see it when I was there.
Great report - glad you got to sit in the front. It it cool. That was one thing I wanted to do this year, but with Lenny needing a scooter, I don't think they would have let us leave his scooter wherever and do a complete round trip to get it again and I wasn't going to exclude him.
