I'd love to hear how you keep stuff straight. I have a two week break from school and want to find a way to keep all my scrappin stuff organized and more importantly, accessible.

I think this is why I still have tons of albums left to do. All my tools, papers, etc are hard to get to- it's a pain to drag out, set up and put back. I was thinking of devoting a corner of my bedroom to it- I don't have a spare room to give up.

Any ideas for this would be so helpful!

I've invaded the living room. My coffee table has been my scrap table for months. [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/blushing.gif[/img]

I did buy some plastic folders for my papers and stickers. They're at Michael's for about 1.99. The look like clear interoffice envelopes. I also have some plastic bins of different sizes for my glue/scizzors, ribbon, and embellishments.

It's not the greatest set up, but it works for me. I want to move a table into the spare room, but then I'd be all lonely at the end of the house without a TV or DH to talk to.

I would set up a corner in a room and devote it to scrapbooking. It is so much easier to work if you have everything out and organized. Check out the website Two Peas in a Bucket. In the gallery they have a section devoted to scrap rooms and there are some great ideas for storage. Some people there even have a scrap room set up in a spare closet!

I like to keep my small things like beads and brads in those little plastic boxes with the dividers. I wrap ribbon around close pins and secure them with a straight pin and keep them in big clear plastic jars. That way I can see what I want and it takes up less space than those spools ribbon comes on. I think I have about 100 different ribbons in three jars and still have room for more. I saw a great idea in a magazine where someone took a wine bottle holder (two holes on the bottom, one on the top) and put large plastic tumblers in the holes to hold pens and other long tools like punches and scissors.

I also had an upright spice rack that was on a spinner and had 16 little jars that I put eyelets in. The photo boxes they sell in craft stores are great to hold things too and can be stacked on each other.

Ok, so my previous post said I had invaded the living room, right? And I was thinking about moving into the spare room but I didn't want to be lonely?

Well, I made the move into the spare room. I'm using the dresser to hold all my bins, I've got the card table set up under the window and I have two storage totes stacked ontop of each other next to me for a little credenza. I have a radio and a phone in there and I can look out the window and out the door into the hallway at the same time.

I think it will work. And, it makes the living room look like a living room again. [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
