As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

ok, I am caught up again! first of all, excellent pictures and love your coordinating outfits! Andre is so stinken cute in that hat! And I love Josie's side pony tail! Oh and by the way I really like your hair, wish I could pull that off but I have a big forehead! So glad you got the GT stroller, I thought it looked bigger. We checked them out at buy buy baby and same with Sam, it didn't look higher when the shade was back but when you pulled it forward he had alot more head room. I think if I had that room and view, we would be spending alot of time there too! The CL offerings sound amazing!

What a great day, looks like everyone is feeling better. We have always loved visiting with Mulan, the girls have always had such wonderful interaction with her...she is actually one of Jasmine's favorites.
Your salted carmel sounded yummy, we are dark chocolate lovers here as well, but I have tried the milk chocolate salted carmel and it is delcious.
What a wonderful way to end the day, Wishes from your balcony, what an amazing view.
I love, love, love Wishes...my favorite show at Disney...and I'm so jealous you got sit out on your balcony drinking wine and enjoying the fireworks. Did they pipe the music into the tv for the guests? Also love your photopass pictures...you all just look so cute together.
Thank you everyone for the nice comments on our pics.

I'm not sure if it was on the TV, but they were playing the music from all the outside speakers. Loud and clear too. IDK it it's only in front of the Hawaii longhouse though. Everytime we have watched from the beach, we always sit in front of that longhouse anyway to be away from the nosie of the pool.
This morning I did set an alarm because we were headed to EMH at the MK. So once dressed we headed down to the lounge for some breakfast. This was yet again another great morning of offerings in the lounge and after we ate, grabbed double espresso mocha, we set off for the monorail. We were walking up right as the RD ceremony started and as always it’s so worth getting here early just to see that.
We headed up MS and stopped for a few pics along the way.
Josie always likes to walk through the castle on Daddy’s shoulders, so of we course we had to do that as well, sorry Arnaud.
Next I went off to grab FP for PP and then we headed over to Storybook Circus. Dumbo was a walk on and both sides were working!! The inside queue wasn’t set up so we were on Dumbo in no time. Andre’s first ride!!
Now we would be heading over to Josie’s most favorite ride and to see if Andre truly was tall enough to ride Barnstormer. I had some reservations about this I have to say. Just because one is tall enough for something, does that mean it’s a good idea?? I don’t know, but we checked it out.
Sure enough, he was well past the marker and Arnaud told me not to worry and that he would wrap himself around him and we will just see how it goes………….OH, ok, great logic dad!
One spin around and all was just fine. Josie wanted to ride again and I said fine but Andre will sit out, Arnaud firmly disagreed with me and said let him go again, and he loved it. SO I caved and we spun around to go back on. Of course the same exact CM wanted to measure him again and we were off for another ride. Josie yelled…AGAIN!!!! I just turned and looked at Arnaud and he caved this time and said he would let Andre sit out because 3 times would be a bit much.
It was around 8:20 at this point and I knew we had to change Andre’s diaper and take a potty break all around and we did want to make our way over to Tinker bell before her line opened up for the day, so that was our plan.
I love the bathrooms back in SC. I know they are brand new, but so clean and pretty too. Now we were off to AL to meet up with Tink.
As we were walking past the Teacups we saw that Alice and White Rabbit were in the line to get on the ride!!!! Arnaud was like, “GO ride with Josie, I’ll wait out here!!” OK!!! I noticed she was in the front of the line talking with some little girls and I thought how cute that she would be riding with them. Once we were let in, Josie wanted to sit in a teacup behind her, so we went over that way. Then my big girl goes skipping by Alice and says “HI Alice!!” to which Alice replied “Would you like to come ride with me??” OMG ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!|? So in Josie jumps and gets all cozied up to White Rabbit. I couldn’t even believe what was happening at this point. I was looking for Arnaud and he was already set up with the video camera just laughing away at us. Alice was soooooo in character talking to Josie about having tea, how it was my unbirthday. She was spinning the teacup like crazy too…….the whole thing was a blur, literally. My face was hurting from smiling for Josie and laughing all at the same time. To say Josie was in her glory would be an understatement
.
As we were getting out of the cups, I asked Alice if we could get a picture and she said to follow her out. Once out of the ride a PP guy came over to me and handed me a card saying he got the whole ride on photos. Josie was beaming and I couldn’t have thanked them enough. Arnaud was all teary and said that hands down, THAT moment was better than any upgrade the resort could have ever given us. I couldn’t have agreed more.
After coming home and looking at these photos, it would have made much better sense to have Josie sitting next to Alice as you can hardly see her little head over those teacups, but as we get on rides I always let her in first and at the time I really wasn’t thinking.
After our Alice high, we headed over to go meet Tink. I know the new Tinekrbell movie is coming out ON Josie’s birthday and I had heard that the new fairy, Periwinkle would be starting meet and greets soon, and sure enough she was here this day!! It was cool to meet her, but again since we don’t really know her yet, I think Josie would have rather met Vidia or another fairy. We had a great meet with them and even Andre was getting in on the fun.
We then went back to use our FP for PP and had a great time flying around.
Now, the day before we left for this trip a friend of mine was going to be in the world at the same time as us, she had gotten there a few days earlier/ She texted me one day and told me they were doing some showings of Belle’s story time and that we had to go try and check it out. She told me exactly where to go in FL and ask a CM about it. So we did and the CM said they are doing showings today, but just not at that moment and that we should check back. She did also tell us to plan to be in there for about an hour, so it’s not a great idea to do if you have plans.
So we decided to go see Mickey’s Philharmagic. I can’t say Andre loved this. He did fine for a while but then would start to cry when it got too loud, then fine again, then cry again. BUT he was the first one clapping and laughing at the end. Probably because it was over. Just as we were about to get up and leave, a CM came in on a microphone and invited us all over to catch a preview of Story time with Belle!!!!! SWEET!!!!! We all walked out and followed her behind the doors of the construction walls. I knew we would be cutting it real close to Andre’s haircut apt, and I also knew I needed to feed these kids before that haircut if I wanted him to be somewhat in a good mood. All the excitement, I couldn’t decide what to do. We start following along and were told to park our strollers. Josie now tells us she has to go potty. UUGGHH. I asked a CM if there were bathrooms inhere that were opened and she told us no, but that we could come back in. Then I asked her how long the preview would take. She said the line was about 20min long at this point and the show would be about 30min. Arnaud and I took one look at each other and just knew it wasn’t going to happen. We were bummed, but the fact that the kids didn’t even really know what was going on was OK. We left and knew we would be coming back when it would be open for real. So sadly, we walked out from behind the construction walls. WWAAHHH…
We decided to eat at Casey’s since it would be close to the barber shop so off we went. We actually were there right as they were opening for the day so we got our food and sat in the back right by the cartoons. After a nice little lunch we went into the baby center to change Andre and go get him his big boy cut!!!
I checked in at the barber shop and since I did have an apt, she said we would be next. I have no idea why, but I was a nervous ninny. The tears started coming as I just was running my fingers through Andre’s curly mop. I was sad to see it go, but I also knew it was time. Barbara was his barber and soon she had him the chair with stickers galore. I told her to cut it off, but to not make it super short. She just started going at it, the whole time not letting any of those curly locks hit the floor either. She placed them all on her station and just kept cutting away. Andre wasn’t terrible, but he sure wasn’t sitting still. Half way through I started thinking he was looking like Creepy Thin Man from Charlie’s Angels and I was getting worried. Then Barbara busted out with the clippers, and I said…..uhm, no I think we don’t need them right now. She assured me it would be fine and just starting going to town. My first thought was….I HATE IT! I knew I was over reacting so I just kept quiet. Some more tears might have been coming by this point, but when they handed me his certificate of bravery and his hair all wrapped pretty in a little bag, the tears really started coming. They did their best trying to put his Mickey ears on, but he wanted no parts. I asked the lady at the front if we could tip the barbers and she said yes, only one problem…..neither of us had cash OR and ATM card on us. DUH!! I told them we would be back tonight to tip her.
With the haircut behind us now I kept staring at Andre’s big/little head. He looked like a big boy, but also like a baby because now his hair reminded me of when he was little. It wasn’t until we were at the pool later that day that I decided I liked his hair. Funny right.
We went back to the Poly and headed down for some pool time. Josie busted out with something so funny here today. She was on my back and Andre was on Arnauds back and she wanted to have races with the boys from one side of the pool to the other. It looked as if the boys were in the lead until Josie started yellin... "Look over there, there is a fire breathing dragon!!" the boys stopped and looked all over for the fire breathing dragon and the girls blew past them and won the race!!!!! I’d say this was a good day so far!!!!
So many wonderful photos! How incredible that you got to ride the teacups with Alice and the White Rabbit! Sorry about missing Storytime with Belle, though.
