The Overtakers are in Qahoots. FIRST WILD RIDE 15SEP2011-18SEP2011 - 01DEC2011 Updated - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

The Overtakers are in Qahoots. FIRST WILD RIDE 15SEP2011-18SEP2011 - 01DEC2011 Updated
A cheese, a puzzle, and wolf and a mountain dew. What do they all have in common?
They are all going to their very first MNSSHP! Yup. I'm Cheeser aka Cherese (get it??? See I was always told to tell people to spell my name was Cheese with an R between the EE's...when I was little. My DBs quickly nicknamed me Cheeser). My favorite happy place back then was also Disneyland...and I towed my first Mickey mouse plushy everywhere. Puzzlewoman (aka Heather) is one of my best friends who I also met through work. Wolfhunt (aka John) is her husband and Mountain Dew is (aka Dwayne) my husband.
Mine. Mine. Mine. Not Loretta Lynn's husband...MINE MINE MINE. Much cuter and much more loveable.
So...a lot of you probably know me. Hopefully you've read my trip report from March 2011 aka Hellcation with the In-laws. It's a hoot...a thriller...and kind of a downer...but get over it. I am. It's almost September...
Well...it didn't burn us out or taint our beloved Happy Place for us...so for the second year in a row....also for the second time this year...we are going to Disney World.
You see...we all went together last year. DH and I stayed at WL with PW and WH staying at BLT. It was a blast...but we just missed MNSSHP by a week. WH has a crazy work schedule as he's in the theatre business. The rest of us...well we are in medical/pharmaceutical business and don't have prohibitive travel times throughout the year.
So...we finally found the weekend of September 15-19th. That we could all travel. WH is skipping the theatre that weekend...so the show will have to go on without him.
Now this is called TRIP #1 at our house.
Because Trip #2 is January 2012 and has us journeying from Cincinnati (home base) to the hopefully tropic climbs of AKL
Then Trip #3 takes us from AKL to the Disney dream with a few destinations...the Bahamas and Castaway Cay.
Then Trip #4 will be from Port Canaveral the Dream to....POFQ with DxDP for my Birthday at CRT (many firsts for me. My birthday at WDW, 1st CRT, 1st Brown Derby, 1st Flying Fish, 1st Yachtsman Steakhouse, 1st cruise!!!)
So...we are squeezing this little MNSSHP trip into the works...but giving it pride of place as TRIP #1.
So...we are like 37 days house now...yup you heard it right. One month and 1 week to go...and I am chomping at the bit.
So...hang on...because as you know...I like to take you on a wild ride...

Well...I was kind of hoping to book GF or Poly...but DH wouldn't hear of it. He demanded and PW and WH agreed WL is the best for the price.
I can't really argue against it...because it is definitely one of my favorites.
So...we booked a bounceback when we were there in March. Great deal...I won't reveal how much...but comparison shopping shows that I've saved about $300 bucks at current pricing by booking the bounceback, which includes preferred room, 1 park ticket day and DDP for 2. We are AP holders but DH and I...but I have plans for that 1 park ticket day.
So...then we get home and WH says that his Delta visa would be the best to book our flights on...since we would get 1 free bag a piece. So we quickly booked it and I wrote them a check for our portion.
So checked off.
Flights
Hotel and Dining Plan
1 park ticket Day.
Annual passes.
Up next...what in the world can you feed a wolf that he'd be willing to share with a cheese, a puzzle and Mountain Dew...

So...we go out to dinner last night at this fabulous restuarant in downtown Mason Ohio.
Wildflower cafe....we had 7:15 reservations and we were done around 8:30.
Dew and I were hoping we'd have enough time to stop at the FedEx to pick up the "Mystery Package"
You see for the past 2 days we'd gotten a fedex missed delivery notice that said we had to sign for it...couldn't sign the notice and have them re-deliver. The pickup window was only 8:30-9:00 in Loveland Ohio...which was about half way home from Mason Ohio to Eastgate Ohio.
So...we hit the road...Wolfhunt navigated us with the Iphone. He said I was staying good on the blue line...ROFL...
We finally get there...with 6 minutes to spare...run in and sign for the "Mystery Package"
We didn't know who had sent it or what it was...I finally get it in my hands and tear it open.
It was my $25 dollar gift card from DVC for doing the phone tour.
Can you believe it...they spent the money to send it FedEx and ask for a confirmed with ID signature...before we could get it???
Well it's in my greedy little hands now...and so it will be going to MNSSHP party for souvenir shopping with me!
Well...I call DH Dew...his name is Dwayne and well his family is from the hills of Kentucky just like Loretta Lynn who calls her husband Dew. DH survives on Mountain Dew....so therefore he is Mountain Dew.
So...I forgot to mention. When Puzzlewoman dropped me off at home yesterday. I grabbed the mail before going into the house.
What to my greedy hands appeared?
The DME tickets and luggage tags!!!
They are here...and I am ready to go...I even chased Puzzlewoman down before she could pull down the street to show her that they'd arrived. So she likely went home and was looking for her set in the mail too.
At 34 days...18 hours...I think it's time to get out a Rubbermaid bin to put all the must takes into the packing bin.
And I must meet up with my friend the Evil Queen to pick up the poodle skirts....I have to finish them up for the costumes for Puzzlewoman and myself!!!
So that is my goals for the weekend!!!

Ok, ready!
Wild ride is right Jennie These people are going to be there smack dab in the middle of my trip I have to worry about not getting to see Mickey or Minnie cause they are neing lured out of cameera range by a Large Cheese woman to be kidnapped by a perpetually confused woman Who are being persued by an escapee from Ft Leavenworth half crazed from the contents of alittle brown jug in the company of a wolfman. And I don't have any silver bullets and theres going to be full moon
