As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!
Best wishes for a wonderful and magical new year!

Pixie Chicks-2/25/03
Good Morning Everybody!!!
Welcome to LindaR and cokebearjdw!! There's plenty of room in the Pixie Chick Wagon. It's kinda like one of those clown cars where they just keep pack'in them in!! Of course the smaller we get, the more room we have too!!
Donna, it was nice to hear from you! I'm also sick of this weather! It depresses you which causes you not to give a crap about anything!! I will be soooo glad to see Spring here!!! I got my foot off the gas and I'm just coasting so you can hop back on the Wagon! Go for it!!
Janet, hope you are feeling better soon! Keep drinking thoses liquids!! Glug, glug, glug!!
Hey cokebearjdw! Congrats on the 66 lbs!! I lost 56 lbs. last year by watching what I ate, drinking water and exercising. I've never followed WW before, but would love to hear your tips and recipes! I am trying to loose another 20 pounds by our first cruise in November of this year. I'm having a hard time staying motivated right now. I think it's important to have a goal. Last year my goal was to loose 60 lbs by my 40th birthday and I made it to 56. This time my goal is the cruise, but I'm having a lot harder time at reaching it this time!! UGH!!
Tikibird, how brave of you to get your hair cut short! I'm sure it looks great!! I hate getting my hair cut. Seems no matter what I do, it still looks blah. I have plain old brown, fine hair that never wants to do anything. I use to get perms but gave those up years ago. I don't know what I would do without mousse and hairspray!!
Hey LindaR! Congrats on your upcoming trip to the The World!! So sorry to hear about your back surgeries and hope you are doing well now. Congrats on the weight loss and your upcoming trip to The World!!
Good to hear from you Margo! Glad your hubby is recovering well. Wow, we have a lot of July birthdays here! Tikibird, Donna and I also have July birthdays!! We should have a party!! A couple of us saw 40 last year while the other will turn 40 next year. Don't fret about turning 40, it's really no big deal. I had a wonderful birthday. Not as nice as Tikibird though, she got to celebrate her 40th with The Mouse!!
Michelle, I thought I heard something! So that was you??!! Curses to the cheese balls of the world!! Like I mentioned earlier, the Pixie Chick Wagon is just coasting right now, so you can hop back on.....be careful, don't want to hear any more THUDS!!
Gotta get going! Have a great day!!

Re: Pixie Chicks-2/25/03
I was too lazy to get on the treadmill this morning. Maybe I'll get on in a little while. The kids have been out of school for teacher workdays yesterday and today, so that has thrown our schedules out of whack.
Here's hoping for a better day - and week!! Gotta get that water bottle filled up!!
GOOD LUCK!!

Re: Pixie Chicks-2/25/03
First off let me say Thanks for letting me join. I stepped on the scale this morning after my in laws surpised my husband and I and took us to applebees I tried to order Healthy, But they put the Appitizers right in front of me and I was like the pig to the trough. I kept eating. I maintained my weight though. So now off to exercise. But first a relly quick and good recipe to share if you like sweets.
Key Lime Pie
1 box (.3 oz) sugar free lime-flavor Gelatin
1/4 cup boiling water
2 Cont (8oz) key lime pie flavor light yogurt
1 cont (8oz) fat free cool whip
1 Keebler reduced fat graham cracker pie crust
1 in large bowl dissolve gelatin in boiling water with wire whisk stir in yogurt then add cool whip.
2 Transfer mixture to pie crust refrigerate overnight
I like this because you can use any flavor Gelatin and Yogurt as long as they match and come up with all kinds of different pies. Orance, Cherry, Strawberry kiwi. ETC. I think this has been my sweets savior. If I crave a sweet I make this. Points if your interested. Since some of you are WW 3 pt per 1/8th of pie
Have a good one everyone.

Good Morning!!!!
I bought a mini-stair stepper at the end of January and use that in the mornings while my daughter is in the bathroom. I did 425 this morning. I don't do a set amount cause it just depends on how my back feels (I have nerve damage from having my spinal cord compressed). I did 800 one day!
I am trying to increase my stamina for our upcoming WDW trip.
Have a good skinny day!

Re: Pixie Chicks-2/25/03
Good morning! Thanks for slowing down, Cindy, I'm back in. Either my scale is broken or I am, because I lost 3 pounds since yesterday, and I didn't do any exercise, and I had a couple adult beverages to boost up my spirits. I was careful on my portions sizes yesterday and ate all my veggies though, but 3 pounds?
I finally go back to work today. I had 4 days off because we had company from out of town. So I will be getting some exercise in later today at work! Have a great day!

Re: Pixie Chicks-2/25/03
Howdy all ! Well it's day 2 on the Pixie wagon. At least we have clear weather for the next couple days so I can get some walking in. I have also started keeping a food diary again so I can really keep track of what is going in my mouth.
Keep up the good work everybody.
