The way We do a Disney Re-Do ~~ Beach club Aug 13-22 - FINISHED!!! 1/20 - Page 24 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

What a great day at Epcot! That is definitely my favorite park and our family's happy place, too! We have yet to have a bad day there. Can't wait to hear how you liked Le Cellier!

The picture of Delaney pushing her two older siblings is priceless! We love Epcot, too! And BC is just perfect if you love Epcot! I'm truly glad that this trip has been so much better for your family!
More wonderful updates & pictures! I am so glad your family had such an awesome trip!!! Can't wait to read about LeCellier. The bedding at BC is so pretty and sounds comfy too!!
What a great morning at Epcot - this definitely seems to be "your" park. I agree there is just so much to do for everyone. A co-worker of mine came back from a wonderful trip but said they did not find much to do at Epcot , I was just so surprised as I find this the most accomodating park for a group who has very different interests.
Isn't the walk to the resorts just amazing...I think the ease of getting to Epcot really sold me this trip. Glad everyone had some downtime, glad between the meds and a nap you are feeling more like yourself. Can't wait to hear all about how you enjoyed Le Cellier.
And I so love the picture of Delaney pushing her brother and sister in the stroller, this picture does say alot and it is just too funny. Loved your description of the events leading up to the picture....the three of them are just adorable and I can already see that Delaney is going to be your little thrill demon
Finally all caught up! I am so glad this trip is going so well (aside from being sick of course). I love the photo of the littlest pushing the oldest. I am sure that got a few looks.
We were rested and ready to head back to Epcot with plenty of time to spare before the ADR. I was really wanting to try the Disney Visa meet and greet again, so I convinced the family to swing back through FW. This time, we were in luck. The line was manageable—not as quick as the first day, but we were able to be patient with the slow moving line since we knew how that translated into lots of personal attention for our family.
This time we saw Minnie Mouse and Goofy. Delaney was THRILLED to see her favorite character again, and Hannah had even been willing to get in the action (as long as we promised to keep her away from Goofy!!).
Next stop: Le Cellier…
We arrived about 15 minutes early for our 4:50 ADR. Once again, the restaurant started off relatively calm and we were seated in a booth along the edge. We admired the ambiance. I was finally feeling up to a FAB and ordered my first beer of our vacation. YUM! When the server brought out the pretzel bread, I was in heaven. I LOVED IT! It was also a hit with Delaney! We got a couple refills, and had a few to smuggle out with us.
I ordered the appetizer trio as my meal. I could not get the cheese soup out of my mind, and the tomato stack had come so highly recommended from a dear follow PPer… For my app trio—I was glad with my choice. I thought the soup was incredible! I was not a huge fan of the tomato stack (to be fair, I think my adoration for Caprese salad may bias me against other tomato/cheese/vinegar combinations…). The crab cakes were wonderful (but I have never had a crab cake I did not like!)
Dh was trying decide between two menu items. I do not remember the other, but I told him the mushroom filet was highly recommended on this board and that was all he needed to know! DH thought his steak was the best he had ever had in his life! This was a great meal and was DH’s favorite ADR of the trip.
I am excited to see how much better it could be as a “signature” meal!
The girls wanted to meet some characters, and the boys wanted to have a few more thrills. So we split up. We were almost the first one waiting in line to meet Marie (Of course she had her new baby Marie with her…).
We then found a photopass photographer who looked bored…
And then he had to rush off to work with Belle—so we followed him and found ourselves about 10 groups back from the front. Awesome!!!!
As we were wandering around WS, waiting for our boys, I saw the Kaki Gori—I have always been so curious what it is but recalled it would be a dairy-free item—so we used some snack credits. YUM!!! The girls were a sticky mess, but we enjoyed it!!!
We met up with the boys. Hannah reminded us we promised she could do Mission Space—orange team-- today. Since Delaney was too small, and she was getting crabby (but still in a great mood compared to most 3-year olds off schedule and without decent naps for 5 days!), I decided to take her back to the resort and let DH bring the big kids on some thrill rides. It was an EMH evening at Epcot, so they had all the time in the world…
Delaney and I were still awake when they returned to the room. I was not surprised that they returned so soon, I figured Hannah did not like Mission Space they were forced to call it a night…
Loved the update, glad you had such a great meal at Le Cellier. We have really enjoyed our meals there but we could not get it this past trip seeing your DH's filet just had my mouth watering. That pretzel bread is amazing, glad everyone enjoyed. What a great time with the girls, loved all the photopass pictures. Hope Hannah and Ben has some fun. Can't wait to hear what the real story was????

Wow! I am finally caught up! I haven't been getting my notifications so I became very behind! I have a huge smile on my face while reading your TR--your family just is so precious!
Those towel "animals" are hilarious! At least you had a CM who tried .
What has been going on with that? I swear I haven't gotten some of mine either. All of a sudden I 'll get one with responses to a post and I am like, "I never knew they made a new entry!"
Weird.
Oh gosh...I know I always say it. But GAWD, you are good at those cliff hangers!
That tomato stack looks nothing like what I get, ok not nothing it's just that it's stacked, hence the name tomato stack. I mean that wouldn't make it taste any different, just weird. Sorry you didn't enjoy it, I LOVE it!!!
Sounds like you all had a great day at Epcot. Great pics too! I love Delaneys minnie ears. I saw them while I was there and I almost got some for my DD but in the end didn't. I just think they are so cute and so much better then a headband.
I have been working on my next installment of my TR, I should have it up soon. I have been slacking BIG time. But I will get to it, I only have 1.5 days after this next one.
Can't wait to hear what happened on Mission Space!
