Goofy's Lemon Surprise Pre-Trip Report - UPDATED 5/17 - Page 9 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

They caught us all smiling and looking at the camera!!!
Just got home from the game and it was great! Of course you always feel good about coming home from a game when your team won.
So it's after 3 in the morning and I'm wide awake compiling a list of all of the stuff left to do... working in a last PTR update before the big sending off.
I just pre-ordered my photo pass and now I'm off to get my grocery list together
Shouldn't I be sleeping? I caught a few winks on the 4 hour drive home from the game, but I guess I'll follow in Bon Jovi and Bob Dylan's words and sleep when I'm dead It's highly overrated anyway lol.
Jeanette, love you you quoted Bon Jovi (I'm a huge fan and think he's a hottie). I'm glad you had fun at the Yankees Game (you're forgiven for being a Yankees fan since you're from NY-said the Red Sox Fan). Hope you have a safe trip to Florida and fun with the whole gang going with you!
Registered Message Board Members Get Our Free Newsletter! When you register you'll have the option to sign up for our weekly PassPorter Newsletter. It's chock-full of feature articles; news; tips; contests; photos; and special offers in our online store.
can't wait to hear about your trip when you get home.

Good morning all PP friends!!
It's the eve of departure and I can now just say...
Tomorrow, tomorrow... I love ya tomorrow!
Well originally I was going to post pictures of the water bottle slings I made, but we've been so around here that I haven't even had time to take pictures. Going to that Yankee game really set me back a chunk of time. Leaving at 11 am and returning at 2:30 in the morning. It doesn't matter though because it was TOTALLY worth it!
Well here's where I am with my planning...
Last night DH helped me by getting all of the remaining laundry completed... we did say he's a sweetheart didn't we? In case you missed it, here he is again:
Anyway, as he was bringing clean clothes up from the basement, I was either putting them away or packing last minute items. There were just the whites left to finish when I went to sleep I was exhausted after having just 3 hours of sleep.
I woke up this morning (4am) to all of the whites being put away and two sleeping 8YO twins... the only problem was that the sleeping lovelies were in my living room on the couch and the loveseat. (I needed to do stuff in there lol)
They are just so excited... God only knows what time they fell asleep last night.
I finished the rest of the packing and gathered all of my travel documents to check and re-check.
It's a go!!
Today's agenda:
Go to work at 8:30 and get the team ready for my absence; complete the schedule for the next two weeks; pick up two more Mother's Day cards (I realized we'll be in Orlando with two mommies, DMIL and DBIL's GF so we'll have to bring those cards with us).
Once finished at work I'm taking myself out for a mani and pedi... it's nice to have this little bit of relaxation just before a vacation.
This afternoon: DH wants to go down to the inner harbor where they are having some sort of event where there will be some good ol fashion cajun crawfish. (They call it crawfish but my dad still says it's bait )
5:00: Church
Evening: Finish and print my daily newsletters that I put together for the family. If you'd like I can post one tonight before we leave.
Dinner will be pizza (I intentionally did not go shopping since we won't be here.)
8:30: Lights out for the kids. We'll need to get them up at 4:00 so I may even try to get them in bed by 8:00. They probably will go for it.
9:30: Lights of for us.
I promised you all some sending off remarks...
Here goes:
Over the past 6 months I've spent so much time preparing and planning. I believe that magic starts at what you create of it yourself. Sometimes the magic really isn't in what you personally experience, but instead it's what you've created for others. The feeling you get seeing their faces light up at the littlest things, the joy that spreads over their faces when they see Mickey for the first time or the feeling of accomplishment when you know you pulled out some fun surprises. This is the magic we receive. Anything else is just icing on the cake!
Up next: The Lemon Reveal! (To be posted 5/13 or 5/14)

Jeanette, I hope you have a magical time and all the magic you've created pays off for you Happy Birthday and Happy Mother's Day early! When you mentioned Crawfish, had Erick read that bit, he would have been envious given that's his favorite thing from Louisiana (his home state). Hope everyone's surprised with the Lemons

This is my first TR so I'm very excited. Like I said above... you may have to tell me to stop
Well, I've been to bed and I'm up again. It's 12:46 and I'm up 3 hours before my alarm goes off
I woke to remember that I didn't print off all of my newsletters so I'm off to do that and then try to sleep a bit more. What's wrong with me?
I know everyone talks about "too excited to sleep" but I didn't know it was this bad.
A quick note: I wasn't going to bring the laptop because I have a larger one and I was afraid it wouldn't fit into the safe, but DDad showed me how to disconnect my hard drive so I'm going to just put the hard drive and the battery in the safe which would make the laptop useless if stolen. ( I really don't think it will be an issue anyway) So, that means possibly some real time updates and/or photos. We'll see how it goes. DD really wants to make sure her Ipod is charged at all times... <sigh> to be 8 again lol. I can already see her at the pool listening to her music. Anyway, see you all real soon!
What a great deal with Jet Blue...I would definitely help with their overbooking for a nice $800 credit Loved the introductions...what a great family you have. Hope you have an amazing trip.....
