As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!
Best wishes for a wonderful and magical new year!

TTFN Tammy (Post Survivor Recap)!
Well there she goes, storming off the Tribal Council set before Jeff could even say "It's time for you to go!". Little bit of a sore loser attitude going on there, Tammy!
Here are the final 6!
LilMarcieMouse = Paschal, Soliantu (Rotu/Maraamu)
SMG = Vecepia, Soliantu (Maraamu/Rotu)
aurora1429 = Kathy, Soliantu (Rotu/Maraamu)
Beth L. = Neleh, Soliantu (Rotu/Maraamu)
momketeer = Sean, Soliantu (Maraamu/Rotu)
allysonh = Robert, Soliantu (Rotu)
Now why in the world did Robert and Tammy vote for Vecepia? She looked TOTALLY shocked when she saw her name. And Neleh, could you have bragged ANYMORE about your clean hair? What a dumb move! I seriously think Neleh will get voted off next week -- without a doubt. Ya'll, I can't believe I'm saying it, but I'm pulling for Kathy! What did ya'll think?

Re: TTFN Tammy (Post Survivor Recap)!
Did you catch how quickly Kathy & Sean turned on Neleh? Holy Cow! I have been telling my coworkers that Kathy will turn on Paschal and Neleh, and she will turn nasty. She certainly showed signs of that last night! I agree, Neleh went on a bit about being clean, but, I can't say that I wouldn't be the same after being so dang dirty for so long! And what was with the votes for Vecepia...where did THAT come from? I'm calling Robert as next voted off.

Re: TTFN Tammy (Post Survivor Recap)!
I watched Tammy on the Early Show and someone asked about the Vecepia votes. She said that she and Robert felt Vee was not working much and going on and on about her birthday. Just that we didn't get to see all of it.
How about Pappy in the reward challenge!?! I thought for sure Robert would win that one. It looked like a strength type thing - but maybe Paschal is stronger than we think.
I now think Kathy or Sean will be the big winner. And I couldn't stand either of them in the beginning!

Steve---I'm actually pulling for Kathy now too. I think of all those that are left, she deserves to be the winner. Can you believe the cost of that dinner? Did I hear him say he was tipping $200?....someone in the room talked when he was signing the check, so I don't know. -HiddenMickey

While I'm pulling for Pascal or Kathy, I think that th final 3 will be Kathy, Shawn and Vecepia and then Bye-Bye Kathy. My vote for ultimate Survivor right now is Vecepia.

Re: TTFN Tammy (Post Survivor Recap)!
We all miss a lot every show. The producers only let us see what they want us to see. They over-emphasize unimportant stuff and down-play or omit things that we might think were important. They add to the drama and guessing that way.

I'm going for Pappy to win it all!!!! I sure would like to see him get it, but I think there are stronger players left. And what's up with next week's tease?? Looks like someone gets some unexpectedly bad news.

Re: TTFN Tammy (Post Survivor Recap)!
Hidden Mickey, Yes, Paschal tipped $200. He figured it wasn't his money!
Another thing that Tammy said on the Early Show when she was asked about Sean: "Sean is a cornucopia of gastro-intestinal problems!" LOL

Re: TTFN Tammy (Post Survivor Recap)!
Oh yeah, I forgot---
Can you believe Sean talking about how lazy Neleh is? It just cracked me up.....what with his confession several shows back that he wasn't going to do any work since he was going to be kicked off anyway, why waste his energy. He was the last person I thought I'd hear complaining about work ethic... If that wasn't the kettle calling the pot....

Re: TTFN Tammy (Post Survivor Recap)!
A few weeks ago I heard that the final 2 would be "unexpected". So I got to thinking who would be the 2 least likelty, and came up with Sean and Kathy. Well, that may not be such a bad guess after all. If Kathy wants to be in the final 2 she's going to have to change her alliance away from N/P. Teaming with Sean alone would be a risky move because he'd probably vote Kathy off before Vee, so Kathy would be smart to try to convice Vee to vote against N/P with her, (
Vee's probably looking for allies after those 2 votes), then with Kathy/Vee in place I'm sure Vee could convince Sean to vote along. Robert has some leverage power this week, it will be interesting to see if he can use it in a smart manner.

Re: TTFN Tammy (Post Survivor Recap)!
Ya know, Patsy, I think you've nailed it. I'm fully expecting to see Sean and Kathy in the final 2 - and those are actually the 2 I'm pulling for. Interestingly, I hated Kathy on the first show, but really liked Sean. The editing made me dislike Sean until the merge - where he's been shown in a better light, as has Kathy. Neleh really turned me off with her bragging about how clean she was - I mean, yeah she probably felt wonderful but to go back and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk about it and offer a half eaten used after dinner mint to them?!? Good grief. I'd vote her off just for that! And I know they have a strong alliance, but Paschal played a bad card by choosing to select her to come on the cruise with him - he really should have chosen Sean, Vee or Kathy just to solidify the alliance. If Robert and Kathy align with the general it's the end of Neleh and Paschal and I think we'll see them voted off in the next two episodes. It's funny how opinions have swung on each castaway -- this certainly has been one hard one to predict, but I'm 7-3 with my picks!

Re: TTFN Tammy (Post Survivor Recap)!
I have a hard time believing that after putting in his vote to ship Vee out, that either Sean or Vecepia are going to let Robert stick around for another three days. Did you see Sean's face when her name was read? He was totally p.o.!!!
As far as Neleh is concerned, I just wanted to give her a bop and say enough already with the shower thing. Gee, think you can alienate these dirty, hungry people any more? DUH!!! I have to say I really thought we were saying good-bye to her last night!! I also thought Kathy's little comment about Pascal picking Neleh to go with him during TC was just a wee bit catty as well as totally unnecessary. Meeeooowww!!!
If they were really smart, Robert and Kathy would form an alliance next week and start breaking up the two firm alliances (Neleh/Pascal & Sean/Vee). First go to N/P and the four of them vote off Sean (they could do this by saying Sean wanted Neleh voted out at the last RC) then the next week R/K/V form an alliance and vote off either Neleh or Pascal. By voting Sean off first, they rid themselves of someone who is a strong competitor for challenges and without Sean, Vee would have to align herself with someone before the next TC or face being voted off herself. With Vee's vote, they could pick off Pascal & Neleh.
But hey, I'm just an armchair Survivor and as we all know S4 has been nothing if not unpredictable!!! This is definately the best Survivor yet!!!

Re: TTFN Tammy (Post Survivor Recap)!
I'm personally hoping that General will go bye-bye next week. I think he would have gone last night, except he won immunity. I love Pappy, but I do think it might have been a bit smarter of him to pick Vee for the cruise. It was her birthday, which would have kept everyone from being testy and jealous about it, AND he could have strengthened their friendship.
As for anyone getting Vee and Sean apart, I just don't think it's going to happen. The look on his face at TC when he heard her name read... WHOA! And she obviously loves him just the same. It would be like tryin to get Pappy to vote off Neleh. Not going to happen. He's so soft and gooey over her .. And I do think she's using it just a BIT much. But hey, that's how the game works, isn't it?
