What sort of weather should DD and her classmates expect for their trip? They will be there April 8-15 - is that a typically rainy time? How about temperature wise? Will they be able to get by with a lightweight jacket and maybe a sweater underneath?

Donna, with our weather it's nigh on impossible to say what it's going to be like! I would say that if you expect rain, you won't be disappointed, but if I'm honest, over the last couple of years, it has rained a lot less than in previous years. I think a lightweight jacket is a good plan, along with a sweater.

Here's a link to the BBC weather site which gives you a five day forecast. At the moment, over the next five days, you're looking at 8 (46) - 12 (54) for daytime temperatures and a mixture of rain and sunshine, which is pretty typical for this time of year.

Our weather is so unpredictable Donna, I think Paige should pack for every eventuality (except snow I hope ). It probably will be rainy and will either be a mild temperature or chilly, see I said it was unpredictable .

We went that same week a few years ago and were lucky to have sun nearly every day and long sleeves and a light jacket were enough most of the time during the day.....but from what I understand that was unusual. I'd definitely give her lots of things to layer.
