As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

Hi there my Passporter friends! It's been a long time since I last wrote one of these thingies. My last trip was in 2014, I still had "little kids". Not anymore. Anyways... I'm very happy to be going back. I was missing Disney World so much, I would dream about going again and even quoted a couple of trips. Yes, I'm that obsessed.
Here are my trip details:
When: June 1 - June 11
Where: Caribbean Beach Resort
Who: Mayra (me), Arben (DH) and my 3 kids AJ, Abniel & Adriel
Why: I don't think I need a reason to go to Disney but I'll give you one anyways. Because it's way overdue!!!!
I know we still have a long way to go but I just couldn't contain my excitement. Besides, as much as my family loves Disney and me, I think they're kind of freaked out by my obsessiveness. Where else can I turn to? Here of course! I know you guys get me and won't grow tired of my ramblings. So come along on this journey towards my newest Disney trip.

Mayra - I'm a stay-at-home mommy and basketball mom. Basketball courts are practically my second home right now. As you all know, I'm a Disney addict. I love visiting the parks, I hear Disney music every day (Magic Kingdom Radio and Sorcerer Radio are my favorites), the lock screen on my phone changes every month to a different Disney photo, and I love planning out my trips (I even have a planning binder ). My favorite character is Tinkerbell and my favorite park is Epcot.
Arben - My wonderful husband who works hard so we can travel to Disney. He loves Disney, he just doesn't like to show it. Let's just say he's a closeted Disney addict. His favorite park is also Epcot. Not much into thrill rides, (I'm not gonna say he's a chicken ) so he gets to sit out some rides. He's very laidback, which sometimes drives me crazy, but this attitude works well in Disney.
AJ - Named after his father, but that's about as much as he has in common with him. He will be 17 by the time of the trip, so that means that come August he'll be a senior. He's on the school's basketball team all the while maintaining a 4.0 average. I'm a very proud momma. He's very calm and collected, kind of a introvert (like his mother), very responsible, overall a good kid. His favorite park is Magic Kingdom.
Abniel - The typical middle son. He's in his terrible 13s and I wonder when he will outgrow the "terrible" years. Don't get me wrong, he's a great kid with a huge heart but can be challenging at times especially in school. And not because he isn't brilliant, 'cause he is, but because he's so lazy. Drives me bonkers. Gotta love this kid! He loves basketball and is currently in 2 teams. His favorite park is Magic Kingdom.
Adriel - My baby. He'll be 12 in a couple of weeks and I wonder where the time has gone. I mean it was just yesterday when I had him in my arms and now look at him. At least he still lets me cuddle him so I'm good with that. I say he's a nice combination of his 2 older brothers. Loves math and basketball. He's also on 2 teams. His favorite park is Animal Kingdom.

You can't tell by this photo but I'm currently the second shortest of the family but by just 1 inch. I'm thinking come May, I'll be the shortest.

Thanks! I was trying to wait until, at least, 2 months before the trip but I just couldn't contain myself. I would've started when I booked back in November, but then there would've been long periods of awkward silence.
