As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!

She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

I think I have about six or seven pairs and I do wear most of them. I don't have a favourite pair as such - this is going to sound terrible, but I have so many problems finding shoes that fit me that my favourite pair is always the one that isn't hurting me.
I have probably about 20 different pairs of shoes & boots. (This includes fire fighting boots of different styles.) Don't really have a favorite pair--wear them all pretty equally.
Oh, I have a lot...probably 30-35 pairs...but most of the time I wear only about 7 or 8 of them. I know, I know. It's not good. I do cull the herd about once a year, but I never seem to get down to less than 20-25.
I have about 45 pairs. I know, it's a lot. I probably wear I probably wear 15 of them. The others are "special occasion" ones. Flats are my favorite, have a couple of them.

I have about 18 pairs. 4 are dress shoes that I only wear if I have to dress up (which I try to avoid at all costs. LOL), 1 pair are sneakers just for doing yard work, 2 pairs are sneakers for work and the rest are a combo of boots and flip-flops.
I really only end up wearing 1 pair of sneakers and 1 pair of flip-flops regularly. My favorite pair of shoes is my Nike memory foam flip-flops.
I haven't counted mine, but there are a lot, probably 50+. I wear most of them, though I do have quite a few seasonal shoes that aren't worn all year, e.g. flip flops in summer and boots in winter. I do wear most of mine, though being retired I am giving away more and more of them as I find I don't really need them.

I probably have about 35-40 pairs of shoes, mostly sneakers. I probably wear my sneakers more than anything because that is what I wear for work. And if I'm not at work, in the summer I wear flip flops and in the winter I wear my Uggs.

I'm not sure exactly.... I'm thinking about ten pair. I have two pair- tennis shoes and sandals that get worn always. The others are more occasional- a few times per month.... I am quick to get rid of anything I don't wear... I have a certain type of sandal that I really love/so comfortable... I wear them so much- I need a new pair each year.... Last year- I couldn't find them anywhere and wore the ones from the previous year and they were in really rough shape. So, this Spring when I found them- I stocked up and bought five pairs! So technically four of the pairs of shoes I currently have aren't being worn- but I figured I now have five years worth of these sandals that I love! LOL
Counting boots, sneakers and sandals I have 50+. Most are seasonal, boots for the Winter and sandals/flip flops for Spring and Summer. I do wear them all. My favorite Summer pair are hot pink sandals. They broke last week but my dh was able to repair them. My favorite Winter pair are black, over the knee boots. They zip up the back and have a 4" heel. I love them
