As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!

She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

My 3 yr. old collie, Duncan, that is! I just realized that no matter where I go in the house, he's right behind me. I'm constantly stepping over/around him or bumping into him.
I have one that is always under foot, especially in the kitchen. Angus has perfected placing himself between a person and any possible food. He's a great boy though and you can accidently step on him and he never makes a peep. When he's not following me. he is lying on someone. He always finds a warm body upon which to rest his head.
If they're not expecting food, sometimes they are worried about the person they follow. Our dog likes to keep an eye on the boys or stay where it is the most comfortable.

Our dog Buckeye has always followed me around when I was a SAHM since he was a puppy. When I went to work a few years ago he was not happy. (My sandles paid the price.) Now that he is a little older, he can't keep up so much and I wish I didn't have to do so much. I am a SAHM again. He will follow early in the day until he figures out my routine for the day. then he will plant himself in a central location so that a turn of his head he can keep an eye on me and the door. He is requiring more naps and shorter but more frequent walks. Finially i think the puppy thing is going away. It only took 8 years. He loves his boys lap the most. Moose has the best lap.
I have a border collie that is always underfoot or nearby. I find the older she's gotten, the more she likes to be near us. She's also happiest when everyone is in the same room so she can keep an eye on us.

Unless we're in the kitchen our dogs just do their own thing. We did dogsit for a friend over Thanksgiving. If I was home Ally was within a 10 foot circle. If I wasn't home DD was the center of the circle. If I'm at Rick's house she'll stay by me and ignore him.
Oh yes! We have a 7 month old pug who not only is always underfoot, but often grabs my pant leg with his teeth to make sure I don't get away from him. Kind of like walking with a ball and chain!

My female Golden, Belle is always where I am! Even if I go upstairs to grab something and come right back down, she has to waddle up the stairs with me. And when I come out of the bathroom, she is literally sitting across the door, waiting for me!
She was a rescue dog, so maybe a bit of seperation anxiety?

Maybe, but I've had mine since 7 weeks and he does the same thing! I think she just loves you...rescue or not!
We have two rescues. One came to the Rescue League two weeks after he was purchased from a breeder but his previous owners decided that he was too much (he was a puppy!!). He was only at the rescue for one night before we were called on Saturday and we were able to take him home on Tuesday. He is the one who is always on someone.
Our female was taken to a kill shelter with her mother and siblings. She was transported here by a private rescue and in a foster home with a dozen other dogs before we adopted her. She was fed with all the other dogs and was food aggressive towards our other, older, much bigger dog when she came to us. She is much more content to be alone, however. She will go up on the bed to sleep even if we are home. Angus, on the other hand, is always within inches of someone.
I think it's personality. Angus is almost 9 but still thinks and acts like a puppy. Zoe was always calmer and more mature.
