As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.

Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!

She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). We've been dealing with Phoenix and his love of removing his diaper. During naptime and during bedtime. Many countless changes of clothes/pajamas and bedsheets. We even have ducktaped the zipper on his pajamas shut, which helped for a while. But he's learned how to get the tape off. And quite frankly, I just don't know what to do anymore.
He goes on the potty when we put him on it, and occasionally goes by himself without prompting. He wears zip-up footie pj's so we can tape the top of the zipper. He's taken to wanting to change his diaper/pullup after he goes in it, even just #1. Which also means we are flying through the diapers, and with the rising costs of everything...that just sucks.
He'll be 2 this week, and I know he is nowhere near able to control his bladder for being fulltime pottytrained. We work with him some, but I'm not into pressuring him to go. I just don't know what to do anymore. So, while I'm also asking for any ideas, could you also send some pixies that he stops this. Soon.

Sounds like he's pretty uncomfortable in a soiled diaper. Definitely a sign that he's ready to start potty training. Good for him for already being able to sometimes use the potty without prompting!!
My youngest just turned two and we are going thru the same thing! I keep him in onesies (or as I call them button at the butt shirts) 24/7! Luckily, he can't unfasten them. If he is without a shirt for even 5 minutes, that diaper is off even if it's a fresh diaper! Hope you figure out a way to keep him in it--My son isn't even close to being potty trained either-Luckily button at the butt shirts go all the way up to a size 4!
Denise, my niece has been doing the exact same thing (she turned 2 on April 27th).
My sister has just started doing the intensive potty training with her and keeps Pull-ups on her . . . with big girl panties OVER them, so that maybe she won't want to take them off as much.
And slightly off topic, but . . . HOW ON EARTH is that curly haired little tow-head TWO already? Seems like just a couple of months ago you dressed up yourself and "Spud" as an oven.
Oh so sorry you are going through this. My dear friend went through this
and she started to use her sons jammies (without feet but zip up) backwards
so he couldn't get to the zipper. It looked funny but was so easy. She also
used the onesies during the day with the bigger snaps.
Another idea that came to me was to put a onesie on him and then also
jeans or pants that button up. He may get tired out but won't be able
to get all the layers off.

I know it will look awful, but cut the feet off the footie jammies and put them on him backwards so it's harder for him to reach the zipper. 2 is way too early to potty train! This is a good time for him to start learning to give you verbal cues about his potty needs, though. It's a step towards potty training.
