As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!

She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). I know that Jibbitz are not compatable with Disney Crocs because the Mickey-shaped holes are larger than the regular ones. Well, I went ahead and bought some anyways because I figured I might be able to attach them someway or the other. They had the cute Tigger and Eeyore ones I just couldn't resist ...
Has anyone (successfully) tried to attach Jibbitz to Disney Crocs? If so, HOW??? Or do you have any ideas what could work? TIA!
I wondered about this before too.. if you just put a small slit in your Crocs, couldn't you then just slip the Jibbitz in the slit... seems like it would hold. Maybe I'll try it with my old pair of Crocs that I've worn the tread off of... hmmmm- I'll let you know if it works.
I was going to suggest trying that "mirical sole repair epoxy" stuff you can sometimes get at Payless Shoes. That stuff holds like there is no tomorrow, but if super glue did not work, well...

OK, I did it and IT WORKS!!! Just use a small craft knife to make a small slit (less than 1/2" long... then push the back of the Jibbitz thru it!!! I think it actually works better than just putting them in the holes because with the slit- it doesn't allow the Jibbitz to keep twirling around- I like mine to face a particular direction and stay there!!! So there you go--- you can use this method with the Crocs that don't have any holes or you an just cut a small slit between the Mickey Head -or- other holes in the top of your Crocs and your Jibbitz WILL work!!!
I just put mine in the larger hole. It is loose in the hole, but is staying put. I don't think it will fall out. It seems to work fine so far. For $2.95 I think I will wear it for a while a see what happens. I didn't really want to make any extra holes in the shoes.
I have jibbitz in my Disney Crocs now for over a month with no problems. Mind you the Jibbitz I picked were larger so that may help but my snowflakes and snowman seem to stay just fine.
I guess I'll try to put them in the Mickey holes and just wait what happens. I think the ones I picked are rather large, too, so maybe they'll work. I'll let you know as soon as they get here!

My DD has disney Crocs. The smaller jibbitz fall out and she has lost a couple, but the larger ones stay in. Of course, DD is 2, so she is a little less careful than an adult or an older child. IHTH!
My 7 year old son who is all boy has lost his several times. But I have been able to hang on to mine. I think it probably depends on how active your feet are!

We found something that works for the boys. They sell them on ebay and are called disbitz. I know other people have posted on other crocs threads about them so we tried them and they do work.
I also read about putting slits in the crocs and inserting the jibbitz, but I just couldn't bring myself to put a slit in a $30 pair of brand new shoes!
And on another thread someone posted that they bought strap with the holes in it and put the jibbitz in the strap instead of the shoe. The boys wear their straps on the back of tha ankle so I'm not sure how comfortabel that is. But if they like to wear the strap forward that would probably work too.
Hope you find a solution, I know how the cost of replacing jibbitz can really add up!
