CRT Dinner???? About This Page:

I love CRT breakfast and was thinking about trying it for dinner. I heard it was good but nothing special. What do you think?

DW and I LOVE to do dinner at the Castle!!
It is a much nicer quiter grown up meal!
Cinderella is often in the lobby for pictures, but that is not a guarantee.
We try for the LATEST PS we can get for the least anount of noise, and it makes a great way to wind down the day at MK!
If your lucky enough to get a PS right as MK is closing when your meal is over you are one of the last people to leave the Park. And walking down Main Street with the lights sparkeling, the music playing, and no one else around is MAGICAL!!
The food has always been enjoyable for us. The Lamb Shank, and Filet of Beef, are very nice with a Ceasar Salad to start!!
This is NOT a cheap meal but it's nice for a special occasion!

at least for DH & I. We've never done the breakfast (but may try to get it for our next trip). We did lunch on our honeymoon nearly 10 years ago, and loved it. So when we did our quickie pre-cruise trip this past October, we had dinner in the Castle. DH loves their prime rib. I had the "airplane chicken", which was delicious. We also like the pretzel rolls with the honey-mustard butter. The best treat we had at the restaurant was the Peter Pan-Captain Hook chase that went right by our window-side table. We just ate at the castle for dinner last week. It was fabulous! They were so accommodating to my two boys, I would definitely go back. The food was great especially the pretzel bread. Mary Poppins was in the lobby beffore dinner. When we walked in we were seateed with our PS within 5 minutes. My boys (6 and 3) sat down and looked at hte menu and immediately strated groaning and saying "YUCK!" because there were princesses all over the kids menu. Those menus were removed and they were provided with Peter Pan Hero menus. The food was great! I had the Prime ib, my son had a kids steak and chicken fingers. The desserts were good too. I really liked the Royal Sundae with the chocolate crown on top. The bill was over $140 for the 4 of us, but luckily was covered on the dining plan so costed us nothing extra.

Our PS was at 5:20, we got out just as Wishes was begininng. We were able to sit right outside for the show and had fron t row seats. It was like we were the only ones in the park, we would have had the perfect view for Tinkerbell's flight, but it was too cld for her to fly that night...maybe next time.

How about that for great customer service? Having read all the great reviews, we might have to give this a go for dinner. We've been for both breakfast and lunch, but never dinner.

We have not done dinner here but have done lunch several times. DH always gets the prime rib and loves it. We have had great food and service everytime. DD was a bit miffed we didn't do it this last trip so I may need to work it in on our next trip.

Thanks for asking the question as DH and I have been thinking about trying it on our trip in Dec. Thanks also to everyone for responding. Looks like we're going to put this on the "to do" list for our trip. I absolutely love a good prime rib.

You've received a lot of wonderful answers - but I couldn't help but put my 2 cents in! After all, CRT is our favorite restaurant on all property!

From the first time we went to WDW, we always have eaten at least one meal at CRT (early on it was King Stephans).

Dinner is more expensive than lunch - so if you wanted to try the menu, you could do a late lunch and save a few bucks.

It is atmosphere and state of mind. I've read where people think it's a waste of time. To me what is better than eating in the castle! We're planning a DL trip and I'm so disappointed because the castle does not have a restaurant.

We've had a lot of good timing with characters being in the lobby. We've seen Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother, the Mice, Mary Poppins...to name a few. There have been rare times when we haven't seen anyone.

The food is good. The service normally is great - but you have to set the pace. If you let them, they'll rush you. We just set the pace and enjoy a leisurely meal.

If you go and decide against dessert, I would suggest asking for a chocolate crown. It is normally $3.00 but it's a great end to the meal.

I CRT for dinner, too. For my birthday in Nov, we had a window table, just in time for Wishes. Watching it from that vantage point is *amazing*! My DDs love it there, too. I ate there for the 1st time on my 18th b-day and this last trip was the 1st time we didn't eat there and I was hugely disappointed. It really is wonderful just looking up at the ceiling and at all the detail. I grew up in Germany and spent lots of time in castles and CRT is *very* well done for atmosphere. The food was also excellent, I always have the prime rib and it is . If you do go, don't forget to look for Jacques and Gus-Gus (mice from Cinderella) above the fireplace in the foyer! Oh, and get your picture taken sitting on the throne...you'll be a princess forever!

I guess I'm definitely in the minority here as we didn't enjoy our dinner at CRT at all. The service was excellent as was the ambience of course and we certainly enjoyed watching the fireworks from inside the castle. Our problem lay with the food. Our dinners were not very good at all and very overpriced for what we received. We've had breakfast at CRT, however, and loved it to bits.
