As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I will start by introducing myself I am Ashlee I just got married to Adam on August 21 this year so only about a month and a half ago we are enjoying every moment so far we always lived at home so many changes for both of us boy was that hard
So a little over a year ago we were trying to decide where to go on our honeymoon key west was talked about along with the typical tropical places but to me anything out of the US sounds scary and my grandma who had just come back from Disney with my grandfather after celebrating there 50th wedding anniversary. Now they have traveled all over the world together (cruises to the bahamas, japan, china, germany, all over the us, mexico, and countless other places) my grandmother told us Disney is her favorite place in the entire world and how she wished we would go there on our honeymoon so with no persuading on my part Adam and i decided that's where we want to go neither of us had been there since 1998 with our family( kinda weird we were there the same year) so we decided on boardwalk after he insited its the only place he has ever stayed and I wanted somethin new but he won lol so boardwalk it was then how many days this is where I insisted more than six so we went with eight Monday to Monday!!! (due to work and vacation limitations)
Next when to go Sept was too hot (grandma said lol) and we were using wedding money to pay the rest of the trip off so I messed around with Oct dates and liked the idea of being there for our two month anniversary( I know so cheesy but its ok lol). So Oct 18-25 at boardwalk all set. So we booked it in march it killed me to wait that long and then i had to wait till April to make our ADR'S I believe it was april 21. Adam just could not understand why we had to pick where we wanted to eat six months before our trip I had to explain many times due to the dinning plan this is just what we needed to do. I'll list my dinning places in the next post
Aww thanks I'm so so excited for this trip and its so nice to have people excited for one another on Passporter I just love it. I have been trying to figure out how to post my trip report I needed some assistance lol so I should have time later to write more on my computer I did my first post on my phone lol too hard lol

So I should go back and say between deciding we were going to do disney on our honeymoon and actually booking the trip I bought some books and reseached it because none of my family other than my grandparents had been there since they took us. So nobody could answer any of my important questions. So i bought two books which i carried around for months!! One which told me all about every dinning option and one that told me all about Disney THEN I found Passporter in which i carry around to this day and is my favorite thing i ever bought so happy i found it!
So i when the schedule came out for the parks i did a little chart and figured in the meals and things we both wanted to do and what we remembered from when we were little we both picked restaurants he picked some which i had never been to and i picked some that he had never been to then i went off what everyone told me that we had to eat at and a lady I babsit for emailed me a list because she i came to find out is a Disney Obsessed mom lol who knows everything thank god for her she helped me sooooo much.
So i filled in all my slots got up super early April 21 and called Disney like an animal trying to get throught trying to get through trying to get through FINALLY they answer and the lady tells me there lines are down and to call back in 20 minutes im like omg thats it were just not eating the whole time were there hahah i was overreacting just a litle bit haha but i was soooo worried everything i had read told me how serious it is to call 180 days in advance blah blah blah sooo I was on the Disney web site already and I started messing around and apparently i can book online so i went ahead kinda nervous to mess with it and started booking first the most important ones down to the least important i got EVERY SINGLE RESERVATION i was like ahhha all my Disney go to people were amazed the only thing i didnt get at my requested time was LeCellier which apparently is totally normal so i figured hey im ok with this soooo here is our ADR's

We are staying at Boardwalk like i said earlier and got an upgrade to our room when the specials came out for the 40 % off delux resorts so i called and they took a ton of money off our bill and they upgraded our room to the concierge suites also called the inn keepers suites on some paperwork and we get continental breakfast snacks throughout the day and all sorts of goodies in there i looked at some pictures on other web sites and it looks pretty cool especially for our Honeymoon. Like Adam said lets go all out cause once we have kids we will be staying at the Value which i am totally fine with lol i Loved it there when we stayed as a family sooo many kids there i loved it!
Ok so i have lived in Buffalo New York my entire life and I am very use it being cold but its the beginning of Oct and its already in the low 40's so Florida no matter what the temperature (which i hear from a friend who lives down there its 70) is going to be warm to me! So as a typical Buffalonian we pack up our summer clothes and bring out our winter stuff and have to rotate seeing as the winter clothes are so puffy and take up too much room so my awesome husband reminded me not to pack all my stuff away because i would be needing it lol I was like good call babe so i actually have started to pack we are about 12 days away so its not too back but I have an outfit for everyday set to the side i have a new pair or sneakers and we bought Adam a new pair today sometimes I think guys are more difficult to buy for than woman lol picky picky picky lol just kidding i love him
My parents need to use my luggage the week before we go because they are going to Las Vegas this upcoming saturday to the friday before we leave sooo I will get my luggage back on Sunday probably the day before we leave thats ok it will make my parents come visit me at my new place before we go away!
So now I keep bugging Adam about where he thinks he will want to go and where our reservations are even though i know when we get there we are gonna be like two little kids running around and then he wont care where we go or what we do because we will both be there together alone! For the first and probably last time lol for a long long long time lol Oh man i just cannot wait the excitement is building its crazy
Thank you!!! I hear all those restaurants are good and of course the ones that we have eaten at before in 98' I am sure have changed quite a bit!!! LOL

I got a call from Disney this morning because my email address wouldnt work apparently they had the wrong one super weird because i have been recieving mail all along.... So i talked to the lady soo nice! She asked if i had any questions and even asked me seeing as it was our honeymoon if i had any preference as to where we would like to be!!! I couldnt believe it So i told her we would prefer to have a Boardwalk view fingers crossed!!! I sure hope we get it!!
So Iprinted out the itinerary she sent me and everything looks perfect! YAY so now just being excited is all and tomorrow i can do early online check it cause we are 10 days out yay Now final prep it is. Adam and I both got new sneakers that we desperatly needed!!
