(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

Thanks for the props Sandy! I can hear the music!
Some people have the ability to bounce back betyter then others. I think I have gotten stronger and the jumping up and shouting "I'm OK" is getting higher and louder everytime I have to get the strength to do it.
Which sadly seems more and more over the last while.
Over the last few crashes, I have found who is there to hear me shout "I'm OK" and who answers back "GOOD, we were worried about you".
I can confidently predict that in 2010, I will not need to shout "I'm OK"... I will just know I am, no one got hurt, it was close but no permanenty damage and hopefully scar free.

Sometimes just getting through the day, let alone trying to pursue dreams and goals, requires a little help.
I'm thinking of Baby Karl's four year old sister who, while bowling yesterday, cracked her head on the score console. It was one of those LOUD bangs, then the tears. My instinct was to just hug her and say "You're OK! You're OK!" until the crying stopped. Then, Baby Karl's brothers were both having trouble matching their scores from last week. Again, to the pouting and tears, my instinct was to just say "You're OK!" to the other.
I can really relate to Angie's comment, being that we are both creative types who are having trouble turning our dreams into something that others would see as "grown up." (Of course, once when Angie and I discussed how the people who think we are wasting our time spend their free time, we decided we'd rather be us BUT, I digress!)
Over the past few months, Angie and I have both had our share of bumps and owies. I realize, though, that we've been there for each other, and we usually say some version of "You're OK!"
Actually, there have been many owie's from the regular readers who post here (all TWO of them!) and I think we have all cheered each other on. And, on the main boards, where there is more traffic, there are hundreds of people waiting to lend a helpful hand.
Sometimes it is great to hear a "your OK" from someone else, especially someone who understands.
So, for Angie, and anyone else who is getting a little bruised on the way to their goals and dreams... You're OK!!!! Get back up and keep going!
